I immediately felt the difference between her and normal people. No, I should say that my sight captured the essence of a higher-being dressed in the image of my new Teacher. Her steps were...kind of like this, and her every third step became like a snake that viciously planted down onto the ground splitting the fallen leaves on the ground in half. Her foot is that dangerous, so if I was that leaf...I would be split in half?
"Please keep up with the rest of the group." Second, her voice penetrates straight into your mind.
I can vividly remember every bit of information she had stated before entering the forest, I can even describe the smell and tell the direction of the wind at the time. Her clear voice is worlds apart from other people, and everything she says is ingrained into my mind. What is it that makes her do that? My friend also noticed it, saying that the nightingales voice still rings in her head.
"Soon enough, my squad's residence shall be revealed for your eyes to see." Her cherry lips with porcelain skin are envious to look at...but these thoughts are always crushed when she walks and moves.
It is for the first reason I stated at the chance of her being a higher-creature, or even a Queen of a kingdom that has secluded herself within our village to pass her time as an immortal. My Dad had said that the darker cloaked Queen, leader, nightingale squad commander, is an all-knowing being that can see even you bathing and wiping your bum. It's a little not fair for our Teacher to be the darker cloaked Queen of an actual kingdom, it puts a really large pressure on us.
I am sure all the boys also know this, that is why most of them are cowering behind her back, but the girls must not know it since they are acting normally. Hmmph, they must have had really protective parents to not even say the secrets of the village and nightingales.

Anyway, my thoughts of envy are crushed whenever she walks with that awkward and condescending movement. I wonder what would happen if she decided to place her foot on top of mine, would it get crushed into the groun-..
"Students. You are all my students from now on, so I should teach you something for your first day before I show your living quarters." She said, turning around and raising her hand.
"This is [vibration], the first step onto developing your ability as a night-warrior." Her palm and fingers turned infinite and moved in a full circle, giving the impression of a small cover or shield.
"[vibration shield] is only effective against those who have not cultivated. It is generally used for fooling an opponent or taking down villagers without causing a lot of damage." She emphasised the word "villager" with a really sharp tongue.
Is she going to use [vibrate] on me?
I moved towards the back of the group.
"I won't use any [vibration] attacks on any of you, since you are the very first group of the villagers undertaking this training and I need to make you all great nightingales!" Her lips spread with a venomous smile, it captured the affection of all the boys and some girls but it won't work on me since I am the number one genius from the village.
Dad had to bow down and say that to me, after witnessing a glimpse of my future.
"In a moment I will push [vibration] into all of you, so try your hardest to feel the vibration and move it from your feet to your hands." She declared with a focused expression.
Slowly as time passed, I witnessed the feet of the boys at the very front shivering until it came to the very back where almost everyone is shaking but not me. I cannot feel a thing.

"The person at the very back, can you please come closer and stand still, I cannot make you feel vibration if you keep retreating." Her tone was full of mockery, but the power that fell down on me as I tried to take more steps back...
I was taking steps back?
"You are very talented!" Her voice is still filled with mockery.
Why is it filled with mockery? Why am I walking backwards? Why is the sky and trees spinning?

Aspect of the Beast
This story is being rewritten! The new version, A Price in Memory, can be found here. I highly suggest you read the new version as this one won't be completed. Also, there has been a lot of changes so you won't be able to continue with the other where this one left off. A soldier dies on a battlefield, his body broken but his mind at peace. He died for the only thing he truly cared about, his family. In a different world a talented mage completes his life’s work, an entire rebuilding of one of the greatest ancient spells, resurrection. Bypassing the stringent requirements, he attempts to make this great magic accessible to the masses, and by doing so earn his place in history. But lost to the passage of time is the reason for these requirements. Not to unnecessarily complicate this great magic, but to ensure the transfer of only mortal souls. For there are things that dwell in the realm of the dead that should never be allowed to cross over.

Saga of the Space Marines
HARVEST! BUILD! DESTROY! Total war until annihilation. This is the story of the end of the human race. If it sounds like fun it’s because it is. The Saga relates the events and personal histories of the men of the 3rd Marine Space Expeditionary Force and their bitter MAXWAR (mutually assured eXtinction war) against the alien Krag Subjugation. Told from the view point of the warfighters on the front lines, the blue collar workers who build and maintain the infrastructure that supports them, and the scientists and engineers who develop the technologies that power their victories on the battlefield. This mission, The Maggot Colony, relates the first part of the adventure, where their capital ship, The Good Shepherd, is critically damaged, and a small force is sent to establish an outpost on the surface of a nearby planet to secure much needed emergency supplies and fuel. The situation is desperate, the fighting is brutal and the technical challenges both in space and on the planet surface seem insurmountable. Fans who enjoy the intellectual challenges and intricate storylines from real-time-strategy games such as Starcraft II or the pure destructive awesomeness of first person shooters such as Doom, Halo and Gears of War are encouraged to check out the Space Marines. It’s not for everyone, but it might be just what you are looking for. Best of luck in choosing your next read, and if you don’t pick the Saga of the Space Marines today please consider us next time because reading great stories is time well spent.
