In the dark of night, I enter Jacob’s smelly shack.
Immediately entering, I am wafted with a thick stench of nature and countless gazes, but I proceed onwards as I bring the bucket closer to my chest. Shouldering into the main room, I unfortunately find the source of those gazes.
Like crows, those shadows stood at every corner and filled the room to the brim. This sight in daylight would bring me a great sense of safety, but now it only brought me dread and fear. Have I tripped upon a band of bandits, I would think once in a while - only to remind myself of my previous experiences with these assassins.
The nightingale operates from every shadow, that phrase could not be anymore true right this moment.
“Fair Margaret, hurry on, lest we waste the night away staring at your beautiful...” A lustful voice froze as it witnessed the countless others directly behind me.
From the voice, it seems to be Kenneth that just spoke, and his wife must have just entered. But reluctantly following his advice, I hurry on to Jacob who stood like a statue in front of a bath.

Time stood still as I take the newborn frailty within a crimson cradle into my sight. My bucket had been snatched sometime ago, but my eyes continued to watch the sight in front of me, whilst my body quickly became paralyzed due to...fear?
What is going on here?
“Margaret, dress the boy after I finish up.”
It was a boy? That thing is a boy?

The Way of Wrought Earth, or: My Tale of Rebirth as a Mostly Inanimate Rock
Mirage Winter. Second Clause, current act. A Relic Hunter's life is harsh — and often short — in the shattered lands of the Frontier. But when Whitelight reemerges, a legendary blade capable of separating anything the user wills it to cut, a newly formed unit organized of Hunter’s both young and old (and sediment based, in a particular case) vow to stop it from falling into cruel hands. Standing against them is the Frontier itself: the unbridled wrath of global federations, fellow Hunters, and those who lurk in the shadows of giants. As the world races to unravel a history desperately concealed, a semi-sapient rock soon realizes that some things are better off dead and buried — especially when those secrets carry an insidious corruption with no cure. Iteration: Mirror-glass Stars in Iron Oceans. First Clause. A soul wakes up as a rock, clinging to fragmented memories and knowledge of another era. What fate awaits such a creature? No, this isn't satire. Yes, I am dumb enough to try to take this seriously. Updates Wednesday, Friday with a variable amount of chapters. This story is not recommended for the easily disturbed. This is your only warning.

REAL
An ancient hunchback named Finnel is the principal of a school where students’ special abilities might be called magical, supernatural powers. Or, maybe those students’ heightened attributes are more like honed talents any ordinary person could discover and dedicate to developing. Either way, at Finnel's school, even the most otherworldly of traits always finds its source in something REAL . . . in actual human capacities, like intuition, empathy, awareness, strength... REAL is a series of ongoing tales, each centered around an individual student at Finnel's school. Framing slice-of-life authenticity with cool powers and uplifting humor, REAL maintains a light, fun tone while never shying away from digging down deep into weighty themes like identity, connection, and meaning.
