"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- oh hey, it doesn't hurt anymore."
The excruciating pain I had felt just a moment before vanished.
I padded myself down.
Though I can't remember what happened.
Just gonna retrace my steps.
I was outside...
For a job interview at the grocery store...
Because I was fed up with my NEET (or Hikikomori) ways.
Something happened.
I shudder at the feeling I got trying to remember.
"I was run over!" I yelled out.
Not by a car or even a freaking truck but by a damn carriage.
I didn't look both ways when crossing a road and then BAM.
I was only eighteen, how could I already be dead?
By the way, where even am I?
I looked around.
This place reminded me of that place Kazuma got when he met Aqua or the place your character stands in most character creation menus, though in comparison to both, this was even more void-ish.
Where the fuck is this?
"Be not afraid," I heard a disembodied woman's voice say.
I had to turn around twice before I saw her, I didn't know why.
She was beautiful, with long blonde silky hair and them big oppai which got me sweating.
She wore a thin but very elegant dress that accented her petite figure.
Exactly to my taste.
Awooga.
I’d waifu her.
"I am-" she wanted to continue but I held out my hand for her to stop talking.
"Whoa there, Missy. Before you say or do anything I have a few questions and general assumptions. Is this the afterlife? I'm clearly dead, right? Or, thinking about it, maybe not. I could be in a coma, like a coma dream, you know? Doesn't matter.
“Well-”
“Is this heaven or hell, which religion and whatever, could you tell me? You're not THE God, right? I mean, just look at yourself, you’re a hot babe not some kind of old omnipotent man with a beard. You could be Satan or maybe your an angel or a demon. Always thought Saint Peter would welcome me or some other kind of old-looking man type of being. Are you going to condemn me to hell or something? Or are you another kind goddess or some divine being?"

“Could I-”
“Is this just my brain fucking with me? The religions I know could just be the wrong ones. You look human, in my eyes. Though thinking about it more, this could be some sort of trick, for what I don't know, yet.
So, what is it?"
She was clearly overwhelmed.
Maybe I spoke too fast.
"You should sit down first," she told me, flustered.
With the clear lack of any chairs or anything else in the void, I kept standing where I was.
"This is not your world's afterlife but it is true you died."
"And what? You're a goddess?"
"Yes."
"Let me guess, your name’s Storm or Ember or Minerva or something like that?"
She coughed once to regain composure, "let me begin again.
Mortal Cyrus, I think your time has come too early! I am here to give you a second chance! I am Alexandra the Goddess of Redemption, Vindication, and Second Chances. You lived your life in the dark and when you, yourself, started to change it your time was taken from you. I wish for you to live in the light as you wanted to. You have moved my heart and I will give you what you were looking for.
I can give you a new life in the past, present, or future or even in a different world. Which kind of world would you like?"
"Anime Isekai," I said the second she finished.
“What?”
