《The Lost Characters [Vanilla Dark Fantasy]》039

Today Adam was walking to school, it was a very special day, he had managed to reach the 40-page mark, and they were going to celebrate it in class with the teacher. The Classroom was not decorated because it was not considered an official celebration either, it was more a tradition of this particular classroom to celebrate every 10 pages.
Adam walked through the door and met his classmates, it seems that for the first time in a long time the teacher had been late. Hesitantly, Adam asked, as he sat at his desk:
—And the teacher?
—He left a few minutes ago— Bianca replied as she tried to read the new pages of her learning book.—I had to prepare some things for today's celebration.
—Are your powers still missing, Adam?—asked Franco with some jealousy; the two of them lived on the upper floors, so they hadn't received a magic book; so they were somewhat envious.
—No, I still don't know what the book did— Adam answered, the answer that his godfather had forced him to recite for these 5 months.
The magic books given by the Sombrines only had one use, so only a librarian could learn the book's magic ability. Once used, the book would disappear. Instead, the magic books on the shelves are the property of the shelves and could be used countless times. But a librarian couldn't take it out and keep it, unless he stole it and gave it to another shelf.
That's why his godfather was afraid that the other librarians would find out that he still had his magic book and try to steal it from him. Which was why he had forced Adam to tell a lie every time someone asked him about it.
Some time passed, the boys got bored at their desks and finally Professor Achilles had arrived, but there was a slight difference in his head and that was that the face of a very small person: the size of an eye, could be found on his forehead. This was the magical ability that he had learned from the book, but the teacher still didn't know very well what it was for, he only knew that his face could recommend things to him.

—Well, everything is ready— Professor Achilles said— Today you will learn a little about one of the most frequent creatures in this library: the Booklets or also known as messengers.
The three boys were excited, they did not expect another special class as a celebration, the previous one was very useful and fun.
—For that we will use the booklets that live in the school—Achilles added—Follow me and I will take you to see them, but remember not to touch them or talk to them without my instructions. The booklets are pretty harmless anyway, but the shelves that care for them aren't, so don't bother them.
The children followed the teacher attentively, Adam was somewhat excited, he knew that the bookshelves loved these creatures, but he had never seen one.

I'm still writing the entirety of Volume 2. WARNINGS:-Yes, this contains LitRPG elements after a slow start, promise.-This work is incredibly Slice-of-Life heavy-Also conversation heavy-Also plot heavy (But not in that way, unfortunately)-The pacing in terms of plot is slow -(Edit after a review)- This story is also known as: I honestly don't understand what's the difference between "light" and "dark" stories. I realized that far too late, so this story is... weird. It might be light at times, and dark at times, and in all honesty, definitely has dark undertones. Oh, and prepare to be disappointed or pleased by this story; I understand that this story is polarizing, at least. Cover made by: Fei (@Chippy03966650) / Twitter
