"David, wake up." David mumbled, opening his eyes. The classroom was empty, save for him and Samuel. "Aw, damnit." David stretched his arms. "Get enough sleep last night?" Samuel asked. "Yeah, I slept fine. Maybe I was just bored." Samuel chuckled at David's response. "Alright. Hey, you wanna help me capture a few monsters?" David nodded. "I guess I owe you that." Samuel grinned. "Damn right you do. Now come on, I know where a few feral's are hiding out." The two boys got up, exiting the classroom. The hallway was empty. "I didn't think I was asleep that long. Samuel?" David couldn't find his friend. "Samuel?!" The doors had disappeared, along with the entrances to the other hallways. The only exit was a window at the end of the hall. Cautiously, he walked over to it. Outside, the world was a bright white, empty of any contents. He gripped the bottom of the window and opened it.
He hopped through, and jumped when the window slammed behind him, disappearing right before his eyes. "Hello?" He called out into the white void. "Ahh, you've arrived." He turned around, seeing a man dressed in a black cloak, his face hidden by a velvet mask. "Um, sir, can you tell me where I am?" The man walked toward him, eyeing him up. Finally he held out his hand. "Your notebook. Show it to me." Surprised, David took a step back. "How do you know about that?" The man responded, "It's my job to know everything about my children." David gulped, but obliged, reaching into his backpack and pulling out the notebook, handing it over. The man felt it up, opened it, and began skimming over its contents. "How weak. I was hoping you'd at least be level 50. Ah, well, you can't always have what you want." The man handed the notebook back to David. "So, where am I?" The man chuckled. "My home, good sir. It's whatever I want it to be." To prove this, the man snapped his fingers. Under them sprouted a field of grass, above them, the white turned to a light blue, with clouds that are white rather than black, and only one sun hung above them.

"Wow." David was captured by the sight. "This place is a simple piece of the world your people used to live on. A place called Earth." The man tapped David's shoulder, taking his attention. "So, are you a god or something like that?" The man shook his head. "Far below a god in power. I'm sure you'll never meet him, so don't spend too much time thinking about it." "Alright, then who are you?" Again, the man chuckled. "That isn't important at the moment. Just know that I have your best interests at heart." David nodded. "So, why am I here?" The man was silent for a moment. "I need you to do something for me." The man pulled a paper out of his pocket. "This paper will tell you where to find a friend of mine. Visit him as soon as you possibly can." David stared at the paper. "Why me?" "Honestly? You were the first person I found that I could pull here without killing them. Now then, farewell." David felt the world start shaking. "W-wait a minute!" The ground beneath him cracked and broke into shards, sending him into a dark void.
…
Samuel closed the door to the warehouse. "Alright. Thanks again for the help man. Now, how about getting some food." David shook his head. "Sorry, not tonight. I have to work on my paper." Samuel patted his friend's back, and bid him goodbye. Once Samuel was gone, he took the paper out of his pocket. "56 English Ave." He wasn't sure yet if he wanted to go through with it. Then again, if a being as strong as that contacts you, you can't really refuse. He took a deep breath and began walking. The streets were quiet and time passed in a blur. Once he got on English Ave, the building was clear right away. A run-down building, with a single light on in the window. He reached the building's door and knocked. No response. Upon peeking through the window, he was left confused. The inside looked abandoned, save for a lantern hanging on the window and a stool in the middle of the room. "What the hell kind of joke is this?" As he was peering inside, he heard the door open. He whipped around and saw someone standing in the doorframe. "Well, you're not who I was expecting." That someone was a guy in a trench coat. He wore a cowboy hat, a pair of sunglasses, and his mouth was formed in a frown. "Uhh…" the words caught in David's throat. The man reached into his pocket. "Charles last name redacted, inter-dimensional detective. I hunt all kinds of paranormal oddities, and It seems that you're wrapped up in my current case." David froze up. "...hi, I'm David." He choked out. "That's nice. Now get in here." The man motioned for David to follow, before entering the building. David followed.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? For Grass and Glory
Being old is difficult. But losing the love of your life to natural selection and being left in the dirt is even harder. Join Walton in his final journey as he figures out if his principals are just as important when there is nothing left to lose. Combating hypocrisy, youth, bad diet practises and a general lack of respect towards humanity, Walton's struggles are the true adventure of the everyday man. A story about unlikely friendship, being old, unexpected beauty, and the obsession of kicking a round leather ball in the best way possible. A story about a new world, and its possibilities. A story about the grass, and let us hope, a small bit of glory? Author note: This is a project of mine I started in 2016 and recently been writing for again. Writing for me is something I love to do, but can't always find the time for. This is also the reason I have not finished (or come close to) Ethereal Space yet. I get distracted. I started this novel intending to create something else, to break a bit with the current go to's story wise in the litRPG or virtual reality communities. So, this is my attempt at "Something different" I would love feedback or just your general opinion. But most of all, I hope it entertains. Enjoy!

Dust and Glory
A century after World War III left the planet a nuclear wasteland, earth is nearly unrecognizable. Alien ‘Benefactors’ have taken control of North America’s most populous cities and built indomitable walls around them, defending their inhabitants but trapping them under a totalitarian rule. Outside these citadels, chaos reigns, led by the mutants of the wasteland; cultists, raiders, and canibal clans. Glory, a rogue android, is roaming the wastes after escaping her sadistic “father”. Alone and reeling from the effects of a previously sheltered life, her only ray of hope is Reza City, built upon the ruins of what used to be Phoenix, Arizona. True, the Benefactors have a strict ban on self-aware artificial intelligence in place, but that should only prove an issue if they realize she’s an AI. The real problem is what lurks outside the city: over a million square miles of harsh, unyielding desert. And slinking between the dunes and the fissures are the mutants, looking for an easy victim.

Life in Zora's Domain
An AU about Mipha's and Link's life together post Calamity. I tried to have some fun with this story, taking it in different directions, developing Mipha's and Link's family, making up some adventures, and creating some connections to other Zelda stories. But the main theme is Mipha's and Link's love for each other and building a happy life together. I'm sure I don't always succeed, but I try to keep the story light hearted and generally opt for happy outcomes. The first 2 chapters now incorporate the prequel stories 'His Future is in the Past' and 'Beginning Life in Zora's Domain', so this AU is self-contained in one story. If you've already read the prequels just jump to Chapter 1 - Studying. Cover art where available is by Nurple(twitter dot com/nurpleynurple) and used by permission. Spoiler Warning: This story has spoilers! On the other hand, if you haven't played the game this story won't make sense.
