《Rise of the Forgotten》Ch. 29 Preparation and Travel

Though our ships could see them to others they would be invisible. The Empires ships all had some level of stealth functions available to them. So while there was a small fleet of ships out on the edge of the system no one on the planet could see them.
I contacted the ships asking for their leaders to talk to them. They contacted me soon after and I moved to my meeting room. Once there, I connected them and their holographic images showed up. I was greeted with the figures of multiple elderly and middle-aged figures.
"Hello there," I said. "Thank you for showing up and waiting. Now shall you introduce yourselves?"
After that, they started to introduce themselves. Each spoke their name and how many ships they were leading. There were over a hundred small cruisers in the fleet. There were also a couple of actual cruisers that were there. These cruisers held over 5,000 crew and passengers. They were some of the more prominent vessels that the Empire had. Still, they weren't the biggest cruisers available.
Altogether this was a small fleet. After talking together I had them organized into groups that would be transported to my ship and then go through the gateway to Ev'Andel. The first that would come were the elderly and then the passengers. After that, the rest would come ship by ship. This process would take a couple of days as there were a lot of people to go through. After that, I would give the crew members on the ship's time so that they could get accustomed to their strength.
During this time I would try to get to know the rest of these people. They would tell me about their lives and experiences. Many among them had only been on the ships and never on any planet. I asked them why and they said that Arch Traitors would hunt down and capture any Omegian that they could find. They could only really do that in the Milky Way and the Dynasty. The Tailmen had special divisions and orders that specialized in tracking those traitors down.

They told me many stories about the journeys that their group's experienced throughout the years. They told me the sights they saw and the people they met. They also told me about the dangers they faced too. Originally the groups were one united giant fleet of cruisers and battleships. Over the years and through many experiences they developed their ideologies.
The Zealots were influenced by the many religions that they met, while the Liberators thought that they had been doing fine without the Alpha so they didn't need one. The loyalists stayed true and viewed the Alpha as their leader and would stay that way through the years. The Traitors thought that the Alpha wasn't coming and said that they needed an Alpha. Through that need, they would try to make their own Alpha. Over time these thoughts would grow and the fleet would separate and go about their own. The corrupted were a part of the fleet that had been separated by spatial storms and space bullshit.
The zealots would land and settle in the galaxy where the Tailmen would spread from. The loyalists and the liberators would spread and settle in the Milky Way and the Dynasty. The traitors would hide throughout these same galaxies. The corrupted would show up sometime in the future and cause trouble and destruction before being sealed and locked away in a part of the Tailmen.
Through the years they survived and traveled they would never go beyond this trio of galaxies. They said that when their ancestors came here they felt that this was the right place. Strangely the other groups also agreed and stayed, not even the traitors would leave this section. Then I showed up and they gathered up here.
Over the next couple of days, I chatted with them and let them get accustomed to the planet and their new strength. After they got used to it we traveled back to the ships and got them ready for departure. We traveled all over the galaxy buying supplies and materials. This took a couple of months as we made stops to let the ships supply only a few at a time. I made use of my connections with the Malryion to help me get supplies and materials.

With the materials, I brought together the best crater and manufacturers onto my ship. With them aboard I showed them how to make the standard armour and weapons for the rest of the fleet. Together with the machines we quickly made the entire fleet armour and weapons. This process was being done alongside the resupply. As the crafter got better they got faster so we finished relatively quickly. The standard armour wasn't as good as the ones I made for my guards but they were nonetheless very good.
After getting the fleet armoured up and equipped we started to head to the Tailmen. While traveling I asked Erendial about the situation in the Tailmen. She told me that they were preparing for my arrival or more specifically the arrival of the Alpha. Within the Tailmen they worshipped various deities that encompassed different themes. They had the Alpha as the chief deity with other gods. They had a war god, a wisdom god, a fertility god, a harvest god, a god of the dead, and a god of life. They had other lesser gods as well to fill other positions.
They had control over their galaxy for far longer than the federation did for its galaxy. They had great public order and very preserved planets. They were generally quite free of corruption as well with the Omegians being the highest in their religious hierarchy. They were also placed at the highest positions in all of the religious organizations and some of the more governmental positions. Only people approved by the faith would be given positions of power. They would then be heavily scrutinized during their time in power.
Because the Omegians held the highest positions within the faith they held the most power and we could enter the galaxy with little to no effort. When we entered the galaxy I was suggested by the elders that we should stop and wait for a little bit. They told me that the High Tain, the religious and political leader, had prepared an escort for the fleet. I accepted their suggestion and had the small fleet stop.
A little after an hour had passed when the escort had arrived. This was not a mere escort, this was a full-on fleet. The fleet, comprised of Empire designed ships, were part of the Valaryian Order. This order was only used for defending Holy Worlds and protecting some of the highest-ranking religious officials, including the High Tain. They were never used for conquest or attacking. If they were then the Milky Way Federation and The Elimen Dynasty would have fallen when the three galaxies went to war a couple of thousand years ago.
When they showed up the elders contacted me since the order didn't know which ship I was on. Connecting them through I was introduced to the Grand Master of the order, Quindil Casmen also known as Beta Quindil Omegen. Once he saw me he immediately kneeled to the ground.
"I greet you Holy Father. Should you need it I will be your shield to protect against your enemies. The order shall forever protect you, lest we forever be damned." He said with zeal. I could feel the excitement and happiness radiate from him even through the hologram.
"Then I shall accept you and your order. I will let you know that I intend to meet with the High Tain and reunite our people. Once I have the rest of the Omegians in this galaxy and their allegiance I shall launch what you would call a crusade." As I finished he looked up in shock and an unbelievable amount of passion. So much so that it startled me. They really were zealots.
"Then let us be off. We shall escort you and this fleet to the Temple World Ulysim. Once we arrive at the world, me and my best men, along with whoever you chose, will accompany you down to meet the High Tain." He said before cutting the connection when I nodded. The fleet then surrounded my small fleet like a protective shell. We set off soon after.

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
