《Rise of the Forgotten》Ch.14 Answers

"We are here because of a job we've been hired for." As he spoke, he was shocked that he was still alive.
"What is the job and who hired you?" I would not wait for him to overcome his shock. Disconnecting the soul contract is tiring. The strain, while not that much, would pial up and overwhelm me should I not be careful.
"We were told to attack and destroy the freighter and any escorts. I don't know who hired us, only the captain knows." He is telling the truth.
"Would anyone else have anymore info, or is it all the same." I didn't want to waste time.
"Only the captain would know more. Also no one else would talk. They have nothing loose, while I had hope that I might see my family if you were telling the truth." The truth again.
I felt like being merciful today. "Do you want to remove this contract?"
"Is it possible?" His eyes are filled with hope and uncertainty. He didn't know if he could trust me, but he wanted to see his family again.
"I can't nullify or destroy the contract, but I can move the contract to someone else." When my soul has more strength I could nullify these types of soul contracts.
"Can you move the contract to someone else? I would owe you my life. I was practically forced into this job anyway. I used to be part of the group before I left when they started to do some despicable shit." He became excited at the thought of getting rid of the contract. He wasn't lying too.
"I can. Now is there anyone you hate that's part of this group, or what's left of it." I didn't know what they did but I could feel the hate and disgust that he has for the group. They really pissed him off.

"No I killed the only one I hated a lot when you disabled their ship. We couldn't take down your shields so we tried to distract you and killed any of the disabled ships." It seems that I could just choose who took the contract.
"Which one is the worst among the one's left?"
"There is a bald one, missing an eye, and a tattoo on their right hand. They are probably the worst one. I overheard them talking about a slave deal they wanted in on. Also heard that they liked to deal illegal drugs to children." Seemed to be a pretty bad person.
"Alright then. Stay here, I'll be back." I left the room and told Aldion to keep an eye on him. I then left to get the recipient of the contract. They were easy to find being the only bald one. I took them out of the stasis pod, tied them up, and carried them to the room. They woke up as I was walking to the room and struggled to get free. I made it to the room with them struggling and threw them against the wall.
"Alright, now this will be painful, more so for them than for you, and I am going to need you to not resist. If you resist it makes it more difficult to do and might make me fail and could activate the contract and kill you." I said to Durn.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT HUMAN. UNTIE ME SO THAT I CAN RIP YOUR HEAD OFF AND SKULL FUCK IT." The bald one said. This one is quite aggressive. There would be no remorse for them.
"Quiet you. You said that you can speak!? I sure as hell didn't, so do us both a favor and close your shit filled mouth up." I barked at them with a gaze filled with disgust and contempt. I saw them begin to open their mouth and kicked it, removing some teeth in the process. They shut up after that.

"Are you ready?" I asked Durn. He nodded quickly gazing between me and the bald one. I then dragged the bald one to a chair and put them both between me. I placed my hand on both of their heads and put a little of my soul in both of them, the Alphas keeping my soul safe as this required my full attention and I could only split my attention between two things.
I then pulled the soul contract off of Durns soul, gaining the info of the contract in the process, including who made it, and pulled it to the bald one. He screamed as if I was skinning him alive. I then shoved the contract on the bald one's soul, they resisted as I knew they would. They screamed even worse than Durn did. They also damaged their soul in the process. They couldn't resist me. The operation went without a hitch. All of us were covered in sweat. I sat against the wall exhausted.
After getting my energy back I then took the bald one and took them to an airlock. I then took a blaster and shot them in the head. I emptied the airlock after.
I then took Durn and put him back into a stasis pod again. I could tell who the captain of the group is. I pulled a muscular Warrior Femis out of the stasis pod. This time I put an UE inhibitor collar on him along with the bindings. I tossed him into the room which woke him up. He stared at me with a hardened gaze. His eyes widened a little while after, probably realising he couldn't use his UE.
"So shall we have a little chat?" I put on a predatory smile. I looked at him like he is my prey, he is. I also decided to try a little trick I didn't need to use before, I projected my aura infused with some soul energy. Aura can be projected by anyone with sufficient control over UE. It usually took characteristics of the type of UE you absorbed and used. It is also affected by your intentions. By adding a bit of my soul energy it also added the characteristics of my soul. He paled and his pupils went to the size of pinpricks. He started to shake. He is terrified. Good. My smile widened.
I placed my hand on his head. "Now answer my questions truthfully or there will be consequences, okay?" I said as if talking to a child, kind and gentle. He nodded rapidly. "Now who hired you?"
"I, i, iitt wa,wa-was a Dwanir. The- they wanted us t-t-to destroy these shipments. They called themselves Gil. Idontknowwhattheylookedlike." He stuttered in the beginning and it seemed that the fear was overwhelming him at the end. He was telling the truth. I now had a name and race. He is useless now. I sent a pulse to his brain and killed him. He was disposed of like the other one.
The whole ordeal took a couple of hours. Half an hour later the freighter was ready to go and we continued on our way. There were no more issue's. The cargo was delivered and I got paid. It was an eventful week.

War Beast
The future is savage. Jenny Summer is a news reporter who hates her job. One day, an accident sends her through a time portal, straight into the distant future. A future of warring Beastmen tribes, deadly monsters, and magic from beyond the imagination. When the savage world is full of many threats, how will the average modern-day girl survive? Author's Note: This is a rewrite of my fiction with the original title. Instead of changing my chapters in my other draft, I made a copy with a different beginning and a few new chapters. The beginning will move straight to the fantasy world like most Isekai light novels. As usual, each chapter will go between 500 and 2,000 words. I deleted the other draft since this draft will be my focus. Enjoy and let me know what you think of this new draft. There may also be grammar and spelling errors too. This series is still in development.
