"My my my princess, what a cold princess. What a cold exterior but deep down I know who you are. Who you really are."

Kaeya smirks as he lowers his voice next to my ear, hovering over the nape of my neck.

"You sit up here all high and mighty but we all know that you're only a puppet. I'm the only one with any true power. And do you know why? Hmm?"

He teases me walking on either side of my black throne.

"Because you've made a deal. And when the time comes, I'll eat your soul."

"And trust me, I'm going to savor every. Last. Bit." He licks my ear and a shiver runs down my spine but I don't let him see it affected me.

"All those you've killed with your bare hands. Slaughtered. Without a second thought. Mhm, yes, you are going to make for quite a tasty meal. You act like you're tough but only I know the truth. You're weak. Just. Like. Everyone. Else."

He smirks and I turn my head away from him. He licks his lips and bites the side of my neck lightly and laughs maniacally

"Stupid demon butler. Go away. You're bothering me." I mutter under my breath. 

He laughs and waves as he disappears into the abyss.

"Why did I ever make a deal with that stupid demon. Always so obnoxious." I hold my head with my hand, "He gives me a headache."

A few weeks later I'm attending a mandatory meeting my parents set up."My princess, are you not excited to be finding a suitor?"

"No. I have no desire to be around these fools. They think I am nothing but a lowly woman who is unintelligent. Tch. I could kill them in the blink of an eye and I would feel no regrets."

I sit down at the empty table with Kaeya standing behind me a few feet away, "Kaeya, when will they be here?" 

"Your suitor shall be here in a few moments princess." 

A few moments pass when I finally hear my guard bring in someone. My suitor. The man bows and I give him and a short curt nod, "M'lady. It's such an honor to be in your presence." He motions and does a deeper bow and as he comes closer I feel Kaeya stand closer beside me. 

"My name is Choji. It's nice to see you again." I roll my eyes and he takes my hand, kissing my knuckles. I feel Kaeya tense up and I can basically feel the daggers he's sending Choji. 

"Ugh, why did my parents have to invite you?" I look at him with disinterest and he stands back and smiles innocently. 

"M'lady, I would make a great suitor." He smirks. I hate this guy. 

"No." 

"I think I would."

"Whoever dates you must be really desperate. Why are you even here? I don't even like you." 

He shakes his head in disapproval and clicks his tongue, "We both know that you love me." 

He steps closer and Kaeya is about to step in but I hold my hand to stop him, Choji looks at Kaeya in disgust and furrows his brows, "Stay in your place servant. This is between me and m'lady." 

I furrow my brows, "Look at me. This is between me and you. Leave my butler out of this." 

"Tch. Maybe you should keep your butler on a leash." Why don't I just have him killed? It would be the easiest solution. 

I stand up suddenly and as I walk past Choji he grabs my arm roughly and I stare at him with expressionless cold eyes, "Don't tell me how to take care of my own butler. Don't touch me." 

He just gives me a sinister smile and holds on more tightly to my elbow, "Now now dear, I'm sure you can find ways to apologize to me in some manner." He smirks and looks me up and down, resting on my breasts. 

I give him a disgusted look, him still holding onto my elbow, "I never apologize. Especially to pigs like you."

He gets closer to me and he reaches for my waist but as soon as he does so Kaeya steps in and has him pinned roughly against the floor, with his knee in his back. 

His eyes start glowing a dark blue color and I can see his sensibility start to slip, "Want me to rip out his throat and save it in the pantry." I walk over to Choji who is cowering on the ground. 

I lean down and taunt him, "Don't ever disrespect my household or the things that belong to me. You'll be dead before you know it." 

His face contorts to rage, "I'll tell your parents of this incident and my father will not be pleased! You may be starting a war you cannot finish!" 

He starts to plead in desperation and I just smile, "You can try. But my butler is faster than you think. After all, he is a demon~ I could have him kill you now and make it look like an accident." 

Kaeya smiles and sneers with his elongated tongue pointing out of his mouth as he holds down Choji's neck with his hand, his sharp nails piercing his skin. 

Choji starts to tremble and Kaeya laughs, enjoying this way too much. "P-please, I won't ever come back...Just let me leave! I don't have to go to my father about this!" 

"Tch. I don't believe you one bit. But it's fun to watch a pig squirm and squeal so I'll bite." I motion for Kaeya to get off of him and he does so hesitantly, standing in front of me in case he tries anything. 

Choji quickly jumps up and runs out of the front doors, "He'll be back. Prey never get far from their captor. Especially when they're in a slaughterhouse." 

A few hours later after I'm done bathing I call Kaeya to my bathroom. I step out and he hands me my towel, wrapping it around me. He puts on my bath slippers and I walk out into my room, getting dressed. 

For the first time in forever, he's quiet. I look over at him and he seems to be in deep thought. 

"What is it Kaeya?" He says nothing as he looks distantly out the window. 

He pauses before looking back over at me brushing through my hair, he walks over to me and hovers his face above mine, "You defended me." 

My cheeks redden a little for the first time in a long time and I look away saying nothing. He seems to understand and suddenly bows at my knees, placing his head on my lap, I rake my hand through his hair and he looks up at me. 

"I promise. I promise as long as our contract is intact, I shall protect you with my life." I nod and he holds my leg, kissing down the front to my feet. 

"My princess, as long as I'm here, not a hair on your head shall be out of place by the filth of those with dirty hands. Your hands may be stained with blood but theirs is dirtier." 

He touches the seal on my upper thigh that promises our bounding contract, "I have a new proposal, let's make a new contract."
