Marshall and Scarlette were driven to the gigantic head quarters of her parents' company. Scarlette groaned.

"I hate it here." She muttered begrugingly, twisting her face in disdain as they entered the parking. Marshall chuckled.

"I can see that you hate it." He said, kissing her hair softly.

She glared at him playfully. "Don't laugh at me when I'm upset! I really hate it here." Her head fell back onto her seat. Marshall frowned.

"Awww... Babygirl, it's okay. Let's just fool around on the company computer?" He suggested, wrapping an arm around her waist. She groaned again.

"Can't. All the fun sites are blocked." She rolled over so she could face him. "I have to work. But that doesn't mean I can't kiss and cuddle with you." She said, giggling like a schoolgirl as she kissed his cheek, around the corner of his mouth.

He then smiled mischeviously and wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. She smacked him on the arm. "C'mon cassanova, I need to work." She giggled as he feigned hurt.

"Why, Ms. Reeves! You smack me and deny me your kisses?" He gasped, wiping away a fake tear. "You're cruelty knows no bounds!" She giggled, kissing him on the lips this time.

"I love you~" She says dreamily. He smiles back, just as dreamily.

"I love you more." Another kiss.

"I love you the-"

"Excuse me? Miss Reeves, you really should get to work." The uncomfortable driver said, squirming in his seat. "I-I mean well... You guys are very cute together, and I'm happy that you're happy again, Miss Reeves, but you're parents expect you to be in the conference room on time..." He added. Scarlette blushed.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Sorry to inconvenience you." She said nonchalantly, stepping out of the car, with Marshall following suit. "Oh and... Please don't tell my parents. I know you don't owe me anything but please... Mr. Davenport is my love. You wouldn't want to take a girl's first love away from her, yes?" She begged softly.

"Miss Reeves, no need to worry. I'm ecstatic for you both." He said, grinning at the young couple. She then smiled sweetly and scurried to the elevator with Marshall.

"All of the employees seem happy for you, babygirl." Marshall said, smiling.

She blushed and shrugged. "These people have known me for fourteen years. I guess they're excited that I found someone, I guess." She looked down and blushed a brighter red. He let out a crooked smile.

"You know... My family would've been glad to meet you... Well, at least my mother...." He said, his eyes lowering sadly at the last bit. She snuggled up to him as the elevator doors opened and they walked down an extravagantly long hallway.

"Maybe when we get home... Could you tell me about them? Your family?" She asked softly. He nodded in turn.

"Of course babygirl." He said, kissing the top of her head. "But right now, you have to work."

Scarlette groaned and leaned against him. "Noooo. This is basically child labor!" She protested childishly. He smiled and stroked her hair.

"That may be true, but the sooner you start, the sooner we can go home. The sooner I could tell you about my family."

She perked up a bit at that. "Mmff. Fine. But you have to keep me company m'kay?" She asked, looking up at him with a puppy-dog face.

He chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Of course, even if it's completely boring and awful, I'll stay, and I think your mom might get mad if I don't."

She giggled and hooked her arm to his. "Let's go then." With that, he opened the door to the professionally elegant conference room.

"Hello people, sorry I'm late." She said in a loud, domineering voice, which took Marshall by surprise. "Now, what's going on? There's apparently a problem, what is it? Chop chop! I want this done TODAY." Her new aura took Marshall aback. She was so... Demanding. He found it... Strangely sexy.

"Well Scarlette, we're having trouble making a solid sale. We need a copywriter to write about the new product." A young man with glasses and tousled hair spoke up. She simply sighed.

"Child's play. Anything else?" She asked, cleaning her glasses, revealing how beautiful her hazel eyes actually are.

"W-w-well. We received your spreadsheets, Ms. Reeves, but we need another one..." A woman around thirty, who slightly resembled a mouse piped in. Scarlette rubbed her temples.

"Fine. In ten minutes. Give me your flash-drive." The mousy woman scrambled, giving Scarlette the flash-drive with shaky hands.

"Now all the problems are settled, I'll go to my office, you... You all, get to Now." As soon as the words came out of Scarlette's mouth, it sent the room into a flurry as she took Marshall's hand and stepped out of the conference room.

"Well that was completely... out of character for you, babygirl." Marshall said, kissing her knuckle. She giggled.

"Yes. But it's the only way I can get them to work ASAP." She said, matter-of-factly. He smiled. He had an idea.

"It was... Hot..." He kissed down her neck. "Sexy, even." He bit down gently at her collarbone. She let out a small moan. More like a mewl.

"M-marshall. No. We're in the hallway." She breathed, pushing him away. "I'd rather we try that in private." He blushed.

"So... You liked what I did?" He asked in disbelief. She simply blushed.

"M-maybe?" He smiled and kissed her knuckle again.

"Baby, you're so cute... But let's work, okay? I want to go home." He said, reaching up to stroke her cheek gently. She nodded.

"Kaaaayyyyy. Let's go to my office." She pulled him into a hug and sort of teetered to her simple office.

It was a simple white office with a computer, bookshelf, things that are normally in an office. Scarlette immediately sat down in front of her computer, and turned it on. Marshall sat next to her on a smaller chair.

"Babygirl, why is there an extra chair here?" He asked in curiosity.

She shrugged. "I told them to bring in another chair because you'd be here." He grinned and kissed her cheek.

"D'AWWW my babygirl wubs me." He said, in a goofy, over-the-top voice and gave her another sloppy kiss on the cheek.

She squeals and wipes the saliva from her cheek and turned on her computer. As soon as it booted up, her fingers were flying across the keyboard. Several windows popped up and she breezed through them all, and transfered some files to the mousy girl's flashdrive. She then called up her secretary.

"Susanna, send in Beth. I have her files." She said, in a bored tone.

"Yes miss, right away." Was her secretary's reply.

Scarlette thanked her, and her fingers started to fly again, occasionally stopping to kiss Marshall. After a few minutes, a rapid, quiet knock was heard.

"M-miss Scarlette?" It was the mousy girl, Beth. "M-may I come in?"

Scarlette's composure changed, it was gentler and softer. "Of course Beth. Come in." The petite woman scurried in.

"I have the new spreadsheet here, as well as some files you'll need in the future." Scarlette said kindly. Beth nodded her head.

"T-thank you, Miss Scarlette." She said quietly, as she turned to leave.

"Oh, and Beth?" Beth cringed a bit and turned around.

"Just call me Scarlette."

Beth smiled timidly. "Thank you... Scarlette." With that, Beth left the room.

Scarlette remained soft and gentle, even after she left the room. She sighed and ran a hand through her blonde hair.

"She reminds you of you, doesn't she?" Marshall said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She shrugged.

"Well... Yeah, I guess so. Scared and... Fragile." She looked away, trying to fight back the tears. But a single tear found its way down her cheek. Marshall frowned at this and kissed the tear away.

"Scarlette, what's wrong?" He asked, bringing her closer to him.

"I-I-I just... Wish you wouldn't have to look after me like this... Emotionally, I mean... I hate being so weak and such a burden to you." She said shakily, sniffling a bit. Marshall frowned again, wiping under her eyes.

"Babygirl, Scarlette... You're not a burden okay? You're the best thing that ever happened to me. Don't you dare think otherwise." He whispered to her, stroking her cheekbones with his thumbs. He loved her cheekbones. They weren't necessarily high on her face, but they were a beautiful soft feature that made her face... Complete. She smiled through her tears and kissed his cheek.

"I love you Marshall."

"I love you too."

They shared another kiss before she slid back to her chair. She wrote and printed out her final product and put it in a blue folder.

"Baby, I'll just hand this to Rei. I'll be back in a few."She said, pecking him on the cheek.

He hummed and Scarlette walked out of her office. For the few minutes she was gone, he got around to thinking. Thinking about her, himself, and what the future could hold for them.

'This is dangerous. Jesus Christ, what if her parents find out?' He thought to himself, sighing. 'Her parents will send me away. Though that won't be trouble. I could always find a way in. But... What they would do to Scarlette...' He sighed again and rubbed his temples. 'But they find out... I hope.'

His thoughts were interrupted by the door opening.

"Baby, let's go! All the work is done!" Scarlette said, grinning like an idiot. "Let's go home! You have some things to tell me!

Marshall sighed again... He knew he had to prepare himself for what he was going to recount.
