Chapter 17:

Jake's POV:

After school, I go up to Sophia. She was about to get in her brother's car. I had to tell her what I did. I feel so guilty.

"Wait Soph", I say. She turns around and sees me.

"Give me a minute", she says to James. James sighs and she walks over to me. "What's up?"

"I've done something bad, and I'm really sorry". She looks at me with worry. "I slept with Elena last night".

"What's this got to do with me?"

"I love you and I had sex with another girl. I'm so sorry can you forgive me?"

"You don't have to be sorry, we're not in a relationship. You can do whatever you want".

"Yeah, but it feels like I have cheated on you. I promise I won't sleep or do anything with another girl ever".

"Jake you don't have to promise that, I don't care. There's no use me promising, no will want me".

"I know a lot of guys who want you just maybe not with this in the way", I say, putting my hand on her bump. "I can think of someone who wants you with it right now". She looks at me confused.

Sophia's POV:

"Me", he says, taking my hand. "Sophia, I really do love you. More than a person has every loved anything". He really does love me. I've been such an idiot. I was scared he was using me and now I'm such a dumbass because he wasn't.

"I love you too", I say.

"Yeah, but not the way I love you".

"I do love you that way Jakey, I was lying. Please, can you forgive me?"

"Of course I can", he whispers. He pulls me closer and our lips meet. He kisses me and I kiss back. I allow him entrance and we make out.

"Oh god", I could hear Zach and James say behind us. I laugh and Jake chuckles. He cups my cheek.

"Will you be my girl?" I nod. His face lights up with a huge grin. He looked so sexy like that. He kisses me again. He puts his hands on my waist and pulls me nearer.

"Okay that's enough, let's go", James says. I roll my eyes. I finally got him and I have to go!

"Bye Jakey", I say.

"Bye baby", he says. He kisses me one more time then I go into James' car. James mutters something under his breath.

"What was that James?" I ask.

"Nothing", he mumbles. He starts the car and we drive off.

"So are you two a thing now?" Zach asks, breaking the silence. I smile happily and nod. "Why?"

"Because he loves me and I love him, duh".

"Are you sure he does?"

"Yes I'm 110% sure". Zach smiles. "So you can't say anything bad about him anymore and you have to be nice, both of you". James sighs with annoyance.

"Fine if he means that much to you, I'll be nice", James says. I thank him. I know this was a hard thing for him but I'm grateful he's going to give it a try. I rub soothing circles on my bump. My babies were going to have a proper family. With a real mum and dad who love each other. We go home and I sit beside Zoey.

"So what's with the big grin on your face for?" she asks.

"Jake and I are going out", I squeal excitedly. She tackles me with a bear hug and squeals too.

"Oh honey, that's great. I'm so happy for you two".

"Thanks". Zach and James sit on the couch opposite us. Zach grabs the TV remote off James.

"Hey I had it first", James says, annoyed.

"Yeah, well you got a TV in your room, go upstairs", Zach says, changing the channel.

"You have a TV in your room too, go up to your own room and watch TV", James says, taking the remote back. Zach sighs with annoyance and goes upstairs. I roll my eyes at the two four year olds. I hope my children don't act like them when they're older. I hope they love each other always and not get on each other's nerves.

"Aw Soph, I'm so happy. I can't wait to meet him", she says. I smile.

*A week later...*

I was waiting inside Jake's car with him. We were outside his Dad's house.

"You ready?" he asks. I nod. "Don't worry, you have nothing to worry about, he's going to love you". I smile and get out of the car. Jake puts him arm around my waist and pulls me close. I rest my head on his shoulder. I loved him so much. He kisses my forehead as he opens the door. A girl a little bit younger than me runs over to us. She must be Sarah, his 14 year old step-sister. She had grey eyes and long, chestnut brown hair. She was slim, tall and beautiful.

"This is Sarah", he says.

"Hey Sarah", I say nervously.

"Oh my gosh, hi Sophia", she says, "It's so nice to meet you finally. I've heard a lot about you and I can't wait to find out more". She tackles me with a huge hug. I laugh and hug back. She smelt like roses, random.

"Sarah, give her some space", he says, pulling her off me gently.

"Sorry, I come on too strong. I just really want us to be good friends", she says.

"I'm sure we will", I say honestly. She smiles and leads me into another room. A man and woman in their mid-thirties were there.

"Hello, you must be Sophia", the man says. I nod.

"This is my Dad", Jake says. "And over there is Maria, my step-mom".

"Hello Mr and Mrs Campbell", I say politely.

"Please, call us Maria and Tom", Maria says.

"I'm sorry for my son to do this to you at such a young age especially twins", his father apologises.

"No, don't be sorry, it's my fault. I'm sorry for making this happen and in case I got Jake in trouble", I say.

"No honey, don't worry. We're not mad at you or him. It's going to be okay, we're here for you both. You don't have to apologise sweetie", Maria smiles.

"Thank you", I smile. Maria comes over and gives me a hug.

"You have a baby bump already", Sarah smiles, gazing down at it.

"Yeah, I first got it a few weeks ago and now it's growing bigger quite quickly", I say.

"It's adorable", Sarah squeals with delight.

"Thank you", I grin, placing my hand on it.

"Jake told us you two are dating, are you still going out?"

"Yes", Jake answers, tightening his grip on my waist.

"Wonderful", Tom says, smiling over at us. Jake takes my hand and kisses it. And then for the next hour and a bit we stayed talking. His parents, Sarah and step-mom were all lovely. We even stayed and had dinner. And after dinner we said goodbye and Jake dropped me home.

"I'm sorry about them", he says.

"What are you sorry for, they were wonderful", I say. He rolls his eyes.

"Once you get to know them a bit better you'll change your mind". I laugh. He cups my face. We move closer and kiss. His hands move down to my ass and he squeezes it which makes me giggle. I wrap my arms around his neck. We gaze into each other's eyes for a few seconds. "You know I love you, right?"

"I know, and I hope you know I love you too". He smiles. I mess up his hair and he laughs.

"I love you guys too, I'll see you tomorrow. Be good for Mommy", he says to my baby bump. I love when he talked to my bump like that. He was so cute.

"I don't really see how they can be bad while they're inside me", I chuckle.

"They can give you a backache; make you tired, morning sickness".

"Well it's not them giving me it, it's the pregnancy".

"I guess". I smile and kiss him goodbye. "Bye baby".

"Bye Jakey". I wave goodbye and go into my house. Today was fun. Now I know his step-sister and family more. I hope they liked me...
