Chapter 12:

Jayden's POV:

The bell rings, finally lunch. I haven't seen Sophia yet, maybe she's not coming in today. I hope she's all right. She seemed pretty happy after Jake left. She was glad that he was going to be there for her and the babies. If he hurts my little Soph in anyway, he's going to pay. During my earlier classes I heard people whispering horrible things about Sophia. I gave out to them for the lies they were saying. Sophia was nothing like a slut or whore.

She only had sex one time and she knew it was a mistake. Sluts have sex multiple times and do it for fun. I hope she doesn't hear what they're saying, it will kill her. Then it will kill me seeing her so upset. As I'm making my way to the lunch hall a random guys says, "Good luck" to me.

"Good luck with what?" I ask him.

"The babies", he says. I raise an eyebrow. "Oh right, you're not going to be there for her or them, great like we need more of you guys around here. How do you think that poor girl is feeling?"

"If you're talking about Sophia, I'm not the father. We're just best friends".

"But how come Elena's telling everyone you're the father?"

"She's what?" I ask shocked. I can't believe people believed her. I could never get a girl like Sophia, she was beautiful and amazing. I'm ugly and a freak. I don't even know why she wants to be my friend, I'm such a nerd. "Thanks for telling me man". I walk into the lunch hall. Emily and Sophia were sitting at our normal table.

"Hey", they say in unison.

"Hi", I say, sitting beside them. Two girls walk past and call Sophia a slut. They walk away laughing. Why are people so mean? As if it wasn't hard enough for Soph, now this is making it harder on her. She's going to get stressed out again if this keeps going on.

"What they're saying's not true, Soph, none of it", Emily assures her, squeezing her hand.

"Did you hear what Elena's been saying?" I ask. Sophia nods.

"I'm sorry for getting you dragged into this Jay, I've told them it's not true but she keeps spreading it", Soph says.

"You don't have to be sorry. I should be apologising, all these people now think an ugly loser is the father of your children", I say.

"You're not a loser Jay, you're one of the best people I know. You're so not ugly, you're one of the most handsome guys I've ever saw", she says. I smile and she kisses my cheek.

"Thanks Soph", I say, pulling her into a hug.

"You guys should stay away from me, I don't want them calling you names too".

"We're not leaving, we're staying by your side the whole time like we promised", Emily says. Sophia smiles her thanks to us.

Jake's POV:

I walk over to my friends.

"Where'd you ditch off to yesterday?" Austin asks.

"To see a girl", I say casually.

"Ohh a girl, she hot?" Danny asks.

"The hottest most beautiful girl I have ever seen", I say truthfully.

"Why aren't you with her now then?" Bennett asks.

"I don't want to overcrowd her", I say. I actually wanted to see her later on today, I've heard what they've been saying about her and it's horrific. I was seriously going to beat the shit out of anyone who says anything else. I can't believe I am a father. Yesterday was the most surprising and happiest day of my life and what makes it even better is it's twins and the person I love is carrying them.

"So, do you love her", Brad asks, making a kissy face.

"Actually as a matter of fact I do. I love her more than anything and I'm going to do whatever I can to get her to be my girl because I can't live without her", I say. I needed this girl. She was the girl. My sweet Sophia!

"Oh you got it bad bro", Cameron chuckles. This was the real thing. I don't care how young I am, I may be stupid but I know the difference between real and not. And this was for sure real.

"I can't wait to meet her", Alex smirks. No way am I introducing her to these guys. They were players too. Even though she's pregnant they'll still want it of her but they're not going to get it.

"No chance in hell are any of you meeting her", I mumble.

"Why do you get her for yourself, that's not fair", Charlie pouts. Well I knocked her up, I think I get her. I was going to tell her about my feelings soon. And then we can be a happy family, just us and our twins.

"Hey did you hear that Jayden kid from my maths class got that Sophia girl pregnant", Alex says. What, who said that? It was me not Jayden, right? That's what she said.

"Yeah I heard that too", Austin says.

"It's not a surprise, I always see those two around together, they're never apart", Bennett says.

"He's just her other best friend", I say.

"Well he's one lucky guy", Danny smirks.

"She doesn't seem like the slutty type", Cameron says. My Sophia is not a slut.

"That's because she's not, it's just Elena being a bitch again", Charlie says. Thank you Charlie.

"She is a slut, she's sixteen and pregnant for crying out loud", Brad says.

"She's not a slut", I yell at him, gripping him by the shirt. I've had enough of this crap, Sophia doesn't need to take this shit.

"Okay, I'm sorry", Brad says. I control myself and let go of him.

"Sorry", I mumble, looking away. The others look at me with shock.

"What's up with you?" Austin asks.

"Nothing", I say, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I thought you liked this other girl, why you getting so upset about Sophia?" Charlie asks. Because Sophia is the girl I love. I can't tell them that. I've never got someone pregnant before, surprisingly.

"I just don't like the way they're treating her, it's unfair", I say. They all nod in agreement. "I gotta go see my girl". I loved saying that, even though she wasn't my girl, yet.

"Have fun", Bennett says. I look for Sophia, she was at her locker.

"Hey", I say, coming up behind her. I must have scared her because she dropped her book in her hand. I catch it and pass it back to her.

"Thanks. So how are you?" she asks, not looking me in the eyes.

"Good, you?" She nods. "I've heard what they're saying and I'm going to do all I can to try and stop them".

"Thanks but you don't have to worry about it", she says. I cup her face gently making her look at me.

"Yes I do, I care about you and I hate the way they're treating you". She smiles her gorgeous smile. Her baby bump was getting quite noticeable now that I look at it. I rub it and get down on my knees and kiss it two times. "I care about you two too my precious babies". She giggles. I didn't care who saw, I wanted people to know these babies were mine and I loved them. I get off my knees. "So what's this about Jayden being the father?"

"It's just what Elena's been telling everybody", she says. I nod.

"I've always hated her", I mumble.

"Me too".

"Take no notice in what they're saying. I'll stop it as soon as I can". She thanks me. It's my entire fault they're saying these things. I've ruined Sophia's life. I can never forgive myself for doing this to her. "Did you have lunch, because we don't want what happened yesterday to happen again".

"Yeah, I did". That's good. I was researching last night some healthy stuff to have when you're pregnant. I was going to give them to her during lunch but I left them in my bag and forgot to give it to her. The bell rings and I give her a kiss on the cheek. "See you tomorrow".

"Bye", I say. She smiles and walks off.

Brad's POV:

A few minutes earlier...

Charlie, Austin, Bennett, Alex, Danny, Cameron and I were walking down the hall. I was still pissed at Jake. I didn't know he had a thing for Sophia as well as this other girl. Hell, who doesn't have a thing for Sophia, she truly was beautiful.

"Hey have a look out for Jake, we might see this love of his", Austin says and we all laugh. There was no way Jake loved someone. He wasn't like that, he was just a guy who has meaningless sex not actual love.

"Oh fuck", Bennett says with shock.

"What?" Cameron asks. Bennett points to something ahead of us. We turn our heads and look at what he's pointing at. I didn't believe what I was looking at. Jake was kneeling on the ground and kissing Sophia's belly. Like what the fuck dude?

"What the hell is he doing?" Alex says.

"I don't have a clue", Charlie says.

"I freaking knew it", Danny says. We all look at him confused. "Remember we joked about him getting her knocked up yesterday, well he must have".

"You don't think she's the girl he was talking about earlier, the one he's in love with because he said that's who he was going to see", I ask.

"She probably is, that's why he got mad at you for calling her a slut", Alex says.

"And when he ditched yesterday he must have went to the hospital to see if she's all right", Austin says. It all made perfect sense now. It all matched up like a jigsaw puzzle. The bell rings and Jake kisses her cheek goodbye.

"Why didn't he tell us?" Bennett asks.

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out", Cameron says. We all walk off to our class. I had maths with him now, I'm going to try and get some answers of him. Maybe even have a bit of fun too.

Jake's POV:

Brad comes in and sits beside me.

"Hey, I'm really sorry about earlier, can you forgive me?" I ask.

"Sure, forget about it", he says. I smile and look back at my homework. I didn't do it, I was fucked.

"Did you do the homework?" I ask.

"When do I do my homework", he grins. Yeah, Brad was worse than me for doing homework. Ms English liked me so I'm okay. Brad looks at me oddly.

"What's up?"

"I was um... wondering what this girl's name is?" Think of any name.

"Um...Courtney", I lie. He nods.

"Does she go to this school?"

"No", I say quickly. I should have said she does because I said I was going to see her a few minutes ago. He nods again.

"What do you think of Sophia?" Why was he asking me this? I had to act like she was nobody.

"Sophia, the pregnant one?" He nods. "Yeah, she's nice".

"So do you think I should ask her out?"

"What!" I shout.

"I think she's hot, I don't care that she's pregnant with someone else's kids. What do you think my chances are?"

"I don't think that's a good idea". He wasn't going to ask out my baby momma unless he wanted his face punched in.

"And is one of those reasons because you're the father?" he smirks. He's been messing with me this whole time. Wait, how did he know? I'm about to ask but Ms English comes in.

"Hello class", she says.

"Good morning Ms English", I along with the class say. I was shit at every subject. I hated school. I actually used to be smart and a good boy until I turned 15 and my parents got divorced. I live with my Mom now and it was okay. That's the reason I'm a player because of what happened two years ago. It made me hate the world and then I started using girls.

I've tried to change but every bloody minute a girl comes over to me and I can't help myself. They just throw themselves at me, which is fine with me, but I still didn't like it. It's definitely going to change now. I was not going to even look at another girl, Sophia was the only one I wanted. At the end of class, I stand up.

"We'll talk about this later", Brad says. I nod and walk off to my next class. After school I meet up with the guys outside.

"So you going to tell us what's going on?" Alex asks. They're going to find out sooner or later, I might as well get it over and done with.

"Yes, I knocked up Sophia", I sigh.

"How, when?" Cameron asks.

"Oh come on we all know how", I smirk. Cameron rolls his eyes and we laugh. "Ten weeks ago at my party".

"Wait a minute, the best sex you've ever had girl is Sophia?" Austin asks.

"Yup, she was great", I grin.

"Sick dude, shut up", Charlie says.

"I always knew you'd be the first to get someone preggers", Danny grins.

"But what about this Courtney girl?" Brad asks.

"Who's she?" I ask.

"She's the girl you're so deeply in love with, guess not if you can't remember who she is", Bennett says.

"Oh no I made that up, it's really Sophia", I say. I had forgotten I said that.

"What are you going to do? It's two babies?" Alex asks.

"I'm going to be a father to them and look after Sophia during and after the pregnancy. Hopefully when I tell her how I feel, she'll feel the same way so then we can be a real family", I say, daydreaming of the future I hope will happen.

"So you're going to really go through with this, you're going to help her; financially, physically and mentally?" Cameron asks.

"Of course", I say.

"Well I'm glad you're responsible for your actions, you don't strike much people as one but now I guess they can see the real you", Charlie says.

"We're proud of you", Austin smirks.

"I'm proud just as long as I'm one of the Godfathers", Danny grins.

"Nu-uh Danny, I knew him first", Bennett argues.

"Enough guys, she's only ten weeks, they're not even born yet", I laugh. I get a text from my Mom. She was telling me that she's making me dinner and asking me what I wanted. "I got to go, see you guys tomorrow and thanks for the support".

"Bye, Mr Baby Daddy," they all shout. I shake my head but couldn't help laugh. I get a few dirty looks from some of the teachers, parents and students. Guess the secrets out now, I don't care.
