《His Baby-momma》Chapter 10

I shook my head as Lena took the bowl of soup and nestled herself on the couch. How she manages to gulp something that spicy is still a shock to me.
I quickly cleaned the kitchen and decided to have a shower, because I doubt I'll be getting anymore sleep. I checked on Lena again and saw that she was still engrossed in her soup. She looks so adorable. I don't know how she manages to look both innocent and sexy at the same time. The look on her face and her current behaviour makes her so innocent. But her body and the way she looks in my clothes is just... I need a cold shower.
...
After putting some clothes on I went back to the lounge to check on Lena and saw her cuddled up on the couch. She fell asleep. I chuckled at how she'd grip the fabric and bury her face even more into the couch.
I got to her and lifted her up, she immediately gripped my shirt and buried her face in the crook of my neck.
I got to my room and placed her on my bed. She looks amazing right now. Her dark skin seems to be glowing and her hair looks curly but frizzy in the tiny knots that they're in.
Her on my bed is the best thing I've ever seen. She's literally blessing my eyes right now. I've never really paid attention to girls but this one right here already has me hooked.
I pulled the comforter over her and left the room with my phone. It's still 05:45 but I'm sure Barbara is awake by now.
I dialed her number and she picked up after a couple of rings.
"Morning Ethan." She singed. I chuckled at how cheerful she sounded so early.
"Good morning Barbara. How are you this morning?" I asked
"Great! Just finished delivering a couple of healthy triplets and we've got us a happy new family. So I'm great!" She cheered.
"Wow, congrats. I called to ask if you'd be able to stop by today with Elena's medicine. She's been throwing up a lot lately so I was wondering if there's something that can help with that."

"Of course there is. Uhm, I'll be there in a couple of minutes since I'm currently free." She replied.
"Thank you very much. I'll be expecting you." I said then hung up.
Since I have a lot of time on me till the doc comes and I'm not sleepy, I'll just go through some paper work.

I made my way out of my office when I heard the door bell ring, hoping that it wouldn't wake Lena up. I opened the door and there stood Barbara in navy blue scrubs and a small bag that seems like a medicine bag.
I smiled and ushered her in. "How's babymama doing?" She asked as she sat on a couch.
I smiled at the title. "Elena is okay. Just very moody and bossy. And she keeps throwing up." I replied.
"What you mean by moody? Is she like very sad or something?" She questioned.
"No. I'd laughed at something she did then she just started a whole crying episode out of nowhere. Then she had me prepare chicken soup for her. But apparently the soup wasn't 'spicy' enough so she got all bossy with me till she found a chilli pepper and added it to the soup. Which shocked me because I tasted that soup and it was bloody spicy." I explained.
And Barbara started laughing. "Nothing to worry about. Her hormones are starting to mess with her so she'll be extra sensitive about stuff and will cry or sometimes even get angry at little things, so you'll have to adapt to that and the food cravings are also normal. She'll eat lots of weird stuff throughout the pregnancy so all I can advise you is, Don't Judge! Otherwise you got yourself a cranky pregnant woman." She stated.
"Woah, she's already started at such an early stage. I can just imagine what will happen with these eight months we've got ahead of us." I said bewildered.
"I must say, her symptoms are stronger and have started earlier than most women. She's only three weeks pregnant and she's already started. Good luck ma-" she was interrupted by her phone. She checked the text and looked back up at me.

"Sorry but I've gotta be on my way." She said standing up. I also stood and she approached me. "These are her meds. These are vitamins that are gonna help her eat the right type and amount of food needed for both her and the baby. And these will help with her morning sickness. The prescriptions are at the back so shouldn't have a problem with the dosage." She said handing me a couple of tablets in tiny brown capsules.
"Thanks doc." I thanked her as I walked her to the door.
"Where is babymama in the first place?" She asked before stepping out.
"She's upstairs napping. I found her passed out on the couch after her spicy soup." I chuckled, which made her laugh.
"Okay. Take good care of momma and congrats again!" She exclaimed and waved. I waved back then shut the door.
Barbara was my doctor. The reason why I had her dealing with Lena is because I know she won't tell my parents. But if I were to consult our family doctor then he'd just open his trap to my parents and I can't have that happening just yet. I'm gonna tell my parents when both Lena and I are ready. And anyways our family doctor is male and I don't feel comfortable with having a male deal with her and our baby.
I took the medication and headed to the room to check up on her. I get there and notice that she's not in bed and the bathroom door open. I place the meds on the bed and rush to the bathroom. As I near the bathroom I can hear gagging sounds coming from the inside. I quickly slide in and bend down so I could run her back to help her relax as she threw up.
After she was done, she looked tired and her brown skin didn't really have the glow it had before. I observed her through the mirror and noticed dark rings under her eyes. She is visibly tired and there's no way I'm gonna let her go to work looking like this.
"You alright babe?" I asked her, using words of endearment and pet names on her just seemed so normal.
She just nodded and wiped her hands on the towel.
"Barbara stopped by and dropped your meds. I think you should have the ones for the morning sickness then go lie down. You can call in sick at work today." I told her.
There's no way that I'd let her go to work, and that too when she's sick. I don't even want her working in the first place but I'm not gonna talk about that now. She looks drained and I don't wanna stress her.
I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her to me. She wrapped her hands around my neck and put her face in my chest. I love holding her, she's just so cuddly.
"Will you call in sick?" I asked looking down at her.
"Yah, I'm not feeling so well." She replied with a yawn.
I pulled away from her so we could go to the room but she didn't wanna pull away. She was still clinging onto me.
"Come on Lena. Have your meds then we can cuddle all you want." I negotiated, not like I wouldn't do it with her anyways.
She pulled away and I quickly took her back to the room. I read the prescription described for her and took two pills with a glass of water to her.
She gulped the pills and started crawling into bed.
I removed my shirt, leaving me with only my black joggers on and joined her in bed. I laid down she placed herself on top of my chest. I just held her, loving the way she feels in my arms. Till we both fell asleep.
