Romeo's pov

It's been over a month of searching for answers. We have followed all leads. We have questioned everyone in Stormi's past.

Teachers, foster parents, foster kids, even the detectives on her case.

Stormi didn't know her parents names since she only called them mom and dad, making this search for them incredibly hard.

Kaden has been putting more and more pressure on us especially since two more of his warehouses have gotten broke into.

Stormi moved in after several days of convincing her.

I'm happy she is here. Kaden isn't so rude and all about work. I just hope he isn't forgetting his priorities but when something happens, he's right there to handle it.

As I walked up the stairs to Stormi's childhood home, I search absolutely everywhere for things that might be important.

I watch Kaden take off his sun glasses before signaling us in.

Her childhood home has been abandoned ever since her parents disappearance.

The house is still intact with all the furniture and belongings.

I notice the picture frames on the wall are empty but they are still hung up.

Really odd.

"I want this house torn apart. But, do it casually. I don't want to miss anything. And hurry up, I have a six o'clock dinner with my mom and Stormi." Kaden demands heading upstairs.

Today is the first day that Stormi is going to see Mrs.Hernandez since she left.

We came back to their home state so we could search her house for clues and so they could see his parents.

I follow Kaden upstairs and we go into Stormi's childhood bedroom.

Kaden smiles when he sees baby pictures of her on the wall with all of her dolls. We starting tearing her room apart and find nothing.

"Grab her pictures while I search the parents room." Kaden says through his teeth.

I nod and grab the five picture of her that's hanging on the wall.

The fifth one I'm shocked when I see a white paper fall out of the frame. I pick it up and open it.

My dearest daughter, if you see this please know that your dad and I love you with all of our hearts. I know nothing makes sense but I promise it will eventually. Your dad and I will do absolutely anything to protect you Storm. We love you! Do you remember when you was a little girl and we'd yell hide and you would hide in that special spot until I came and got you? If so, go there and you'll understand more! I love you with all of my heart Stormi. Stay safe.

"Kaden!" I yelled walking out of her room.

I handed him the note and watched as his face grew emotionless as he read it. He pulled out his phone and dialed Stormi.

"Hey baby. Quick question, when you was a little girl, where would you hide out in your house? Favorite hide and go seek spot."

"Why?" She asked annoyed. Stormi hates when Kaden ask questions about her past or questions he should already know.

Kaden waits calmly until she sighs. "In my old room, there is a secret wall. You can't see it but if you tap a S on the wall straight in the middle, it will pop out. Why?"

She trusts Kaden so much. I am honestly jealous of how much they love eachother, how much they trust and care about eachother.

Mainly, how they fell in love several years ago and ended up together.

It's crazy how fate works.

"Time. In time I'll tell you, I promise. But, I'll be there soon. I love you Princessa."

"Whatever." She says hanging up.

I smile at her attitude. She's the only one brave enough to get an attitude with Kaden but that is part of Stormi's personality.

She's definitely fun to have around especially when Kaden is wrong.

Kaden shakes his head at his phone before walking into Stormi's closet. We move her clothes out of the way and I get on my knees and knock a S in the middle.

I tried over twenty times before the whole wall moved out of the way.

I heard Kaden gasp as a tiny room came into view. There's a tiny toddlers bed with a bunch of rotten food on the floor near the wall. A small tv with a few toys. Off to the side is a tiny table with coloring things.

Kaden crawls through and instantly grabs the picture frame handing on the wall.

It's a picture of Stormi and her parents. Stormi looks around the age of three.

He opens the picture frame and another note comes out.

I knew you would find this note. You have always been smarter than your own good. By now, you are probably grown up. And your dad and I have been gone for a long time. Don't think this is your fought and don't think you've done anything wrong.

Please stay safe and stay far away from the Hernandez family. I know you and Kaden get along but there's more to him than you could possibly imagine. I can't protect you if you are with Kaden. Please just listen to me babygirl. Kaden isn't good and he will eventually hurt you!

Just like his family did to mine when they found out.

You'll eventually find out what's going on but not until you are old enough to understand.

Remember our favorite place to fly high? Go there and you'll find the missing pieces.

Kaden stormed out of the closet and headed straight downstairs. I followed him outside to the tire swing that hung on the tree in the back.

"How do you know about this?" I asked as I jog to catch up.

"Stormi used to go to school everyday so happy that her parents flew her high in the sky on the tire swing. She still mentions it every once in awhile." He says running his hand through his hair.

I nod and we search the tire swing. When we come up with nothing, Kaden starts to dig around the tree with a shovel he found in the shed.

A tiny jewelry box come into view and Kaden dropped to his knees and grabbed it.

He opened it and started getting out the pictures that were inside. Some of her foster parents and a picture of a boy with the name 'Manny' on the back.

There were several pictures of Stormi with her parents and a key.

He opens the note that was at the bottom and sighs as he reads it.

Maybe you'll see this before they take you away or maybe not but all of these people in here are here to help you survive without us. Believe me when I say, we didn't leave you by choice babygirl. You have been our world since day one and you'll never stop. We will eventually come back and explain everything. The picture of Manny is the boy that will protect you at all cost. Trust him and believe him. I wouldn't of placed him in your life without a reason why.

The key is for a security box. One day, it will be given to you by a stranger and that will be how you will find us. I love you so much Stormi. Stay safe. See you soon!

Kaden reads the letter several time before grabbing everything and heading towards the car.

I grab our men as he calls to Jarred our IT guy.

Kaden has never been so upset like this.

Whatever is going on, hopefully we find a reason why soon.
