《Cuore Mio》Chapter Ten - Water Fight

Azalea's POV:
Lazing around in the crumpled sheets, my eyes slowly blink open. My lips curl into a small smile when I heard the chirping of the birds outside.
Stretching, I sat on the bed. I walked towards the bathroom, did my business and then started brushing my teeth.
Then, I realized. Hadn't I fallen asleep on the couch last night ? Did Dante bring me to my bedroom ?
Awww....that's so sweet. The minute I thought of that, I could feel a fluttery feeling in stomach; like there were butterflies in there.
I walked into the closet and picked out some clothes to wear. I picked out a white shirt paired with denim shorts.
After wearing the clothes, I fixed my hair so it didn't look like a bird's nest. I also applied a little chap stick to my lips.
I went to the living room and saw Dante sleeping on the couch. He was wrapped in a blanket like a little burrito.
His hair was tousled in all the directions and his light snores could be heard in the room.
I looked over to the clock and saw that it was already 8:00 am. Isn't he supposed to go to work ? I walk over to the couch and was about wake him up, when I thought of a better idea.
Remember when he tickled me mercilessly, in his office ?
Well..time for payback.
I evilly smiled and started tickling him. What is he made of ? Steel ? To my surprise, he was still sleeping peacefully. He hasn't moved even moved an inch. He suddenly moves a little. In a groggy voice, he says, "I don't feel ticklish, Azalea."
Heh ? Who doesn't feel ticklish ?
"Alright, then. Well, it's 11:00 am. Don't you have to leave for work ?" As I said these words, he sat on the couch with a start.

"11:00 am ?" He asks me.
I tried so hard not to giggle, but I just couldn't help it.He raised his eyebrow and looked at the clock.
"Ugghh...it's only 8:00, Stellina ." He groans.
"What does that mean, Dante ?" I whined.
He chuckles softly and says, "I'm not telling you."
"Fine. I'll check on Google." I tell him.
"No. I'll tell you. It means....a meatball." Dante said.
"What ? Why in the world would you call me a dang meatball ?" I asked, surprised.
He shrugged and stood up from the couch. I took a few steps back, afraid he was going to tickle me. Dante walked to bathroom. Before he closed the door, I yelled, "There are new toothbrushes in the cabinet below the sink !"
He yelled on 'okay' back. I decided to make breakfast for us. I wasn't exactly the best cook, but I could make a decent meal.
By the time Dante came out from the bathroom, I finished making eggs and toast. I made coffee for myself and since he didn't like it, I poured some orange juice for him. Both of us sat at the table, eating our breakfast.
"Thanks for the breakfast." Dante said, walking towards the sink to wash his plate.
Gulping the last bite, "Sure." I said and stopped him.
"No, no. Keep it. I'll do it." I said trying to take the plate from him.
"I'm doing it, it's alright."
"No you're the guest. I'll do it."
I was finally able to take the plate from his hands and he sighed in defeat.
"Okay, you wash. But I'm wiping them."
"Alright." I give in. After washing our plates, I started washing all the pans and cups.

"Are you sure you don't mind washing them ? We can switch if you want." Dante asks.
"I told you, I don't mind. Plus, I have an advantage by doing the dishes." I said the last part with a smirk.
"How ?" He asks, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. Just as I finished washing everything, I washed my hands and collected a handful of water in my palms.
Dante realized what I had meant. But before he could run, I poured the water on his head. He now had water dripping from his hair, soaking into his sweatshirt.
He looked at me, narrowing his eyes. "You little...."
"Meatball ?" I asked, playfully.
Before I could register what he was trying to do, he dumped a glass, yes, a glass of water on me. I looked down at my clothes and saw my top soaking wet. When I look up at him, he shrugged casually and said, "Oops ?"
I collected more water in my palms and threw it at him. This went on for a few more minutes; us pouring water on each other and laughing our asses off. By now there was a huge puddle of water in the kitchen.
"Okay, okay. Let's stop." I told Dante.
"I'll help you clean." He offered.
This time I didn't try to stop him. This was a lot for one person to do.
I started by wiping down the counter, since one cloth wasn't enough, I stretched a little, trying to reach another one, near Dante. But when I stretched out my hand, I lost my balance and fell on Dante, making him fall too.
A moment later, both of us were on the ground, laughing. When the laughter turned to small chuckles, I realized what position we were in.
Both of us were on the ground with him lying on his back and me sitting on his torso, practically straddling him with his hands on my hips.
We had now stopped laughing and my heart started beating faster, my breaths got deeper. I suddenly felt heat rush to my cheeks and felt a burning sensation on my ears.
"Get off me, will you ? You're kinda heavy." Dante said, teasing me.
"Oh yeah ? If I am so heavy, then why did you carry me to my bed last night ?" I retort, while getting off him.
We stood up and continued cleaning. It was his time to blush now.
Dante fucking Romano, the Don of the Italian mafia, blushed ?
"Aww. Is someone getting flustered ?" I cooed at him.
He rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"Only for you, Stellina." Dante murmured.

The Children of the Divine Limit
A realistic, psychological isekai: What pushes people to rejoice, to torture, to sacrifice, to kill? What gives some the will to survive and thrive in a new land and others the craving for dominance and exploitation? What would those who grew up without power all their lives do when given the approval and blessings of God Himself? How far will someone go to protect those close to them? How far will someone go to exact vengeance against an unjust world? How far can someone go before the abyss looks back at them? "Everything in the world is about sex — except sex. Sex is about power." - Oscar Wilde “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.” - Abraham Lincoln Greed is the worst of all the deadly sins; all of human history lays out the evidence to support this thesis. Consider all of the above before reading this story: A 12th-grade high school class is sent to another world; a world of sword and magic called Omicron where other-worlders are revered as heroes given the divine blessing of the Lord God Sapiora, creator of Omicron's human race. It is currently a world at war. The humans of Omicron need these divine heroes as weapons against the Demon Emperor and the demihuman forces of the evil god Azazelin. However, two students within the class, Ajax Leonid and Shaula Seikennith, haven't been given the hero's blessing. They've been given something else, something more curious; the blood of a deity who noticed their specialness. As a result, after escaping the clutches of their summoners who tried to kill them for their lack of heroic potential, Ajax and Shaula enter the new world of Omicron with no one on their side except each other. While wading through rivers of blood, Ajax and Shaula seek a stable life, a life where they can salvage happiness. They have each other above all else. Perhaps the cost will be worth it. Perhaps not.
