《PAINTER'S MODEL》02: WATCH

"Nice! Look more fierce for me now." The flash of Lois' camera blinded you a bit. It's early in the morning and here you are doing a photoshoot in your own apartment. You have this one room where you can do photoshoots and whatever. It may look plain, but with the help of your boyfriend's skills, the photos always ended up looking stunning. You strike a couple more poses until your boyfriend gave you a thumbs up, "Alright, we're done," He grinned.
You gave out a sigh of relief and fist-bumped him for finishing another, well-done, work. "Also, (N/N), go and change into something casual," Lois said. "Oh, why?" You stopped in your tracks. "Let's go on a little date, you did well today." He sent you another one of his signature winks.
You nodded and looked at your watch. It's 11 am, you definitely still have more time for the date and to prepare for the meeting with Calvin. You think back on the conversation you had with him last night. You squealed in your head.
I'm going to meet the very, very famous Calvin Doris. Holy Shit.
It was all so sudden, and it felt as if the Gods or whatever supernatural being there is, is guiding you to success. Collaborating with a person like him is a big thing. You should really act professional and try your best to be polite when you're around him.
After shuffling through your wardrobe and picking your clothes for the date, you're ready to go. You walked down the stairs and felt hands around your waist. "Looking beautiful as always," Lois kissed your cheek.
Once you entered the car, you realized you haven't told your boyfriend about this meeting you have with Calvin Doris.
"Hey, Lois?"

"Yeah?"
"I'm scheduled to meet Calvin Doris later at 4 pm. He wants to work with me."
You almost got thrown off your seat when your boyfriend stepped on the breaks a bit too harshly. "Holy...Really!?" His eyes bulged out. "What? When? How?" He runs his hands through his hair. "That's fucking cool!" He grabs your hands. "I knew you would reach this part of your career," He gave you a big smile.
You laughed, "I know! He called me last night. At first, it was kind of weird, but he revealed himself as the Calvin Doris and asked me to be in a painting of his." You put your hands in the air. "Weird? What do you-" Lois started to question but the sound of cars honking behind
you stopped him. He immediately stepped on the gas pedal and the honking stopped.
"Woops, uh, anyway, what do you mean?" You realized you should not really call out on that part of last night's call to your boyfriend, but you already did, and you couldn't stop the curious demeanor of Lois.
"I don't think it's that much of a big deal, it's just that by the beginning of the call, I only heard nothing but heavy breaths. I was kind of worried since it seems like as if the person just finished a long tiring run away from something, but, I don't know." You said.
Lois glanced at you, "Are you sure that call is not a scam?" One of his eyebrows raised. "It's definitely not a scam! The sound of his voice is very similar to those interviews of him." You asserted.
"Suit yourself, then." Lois sighed. "But I must admit, from what I've noticed on his interviews, Calvin Doris seems like a weird guy," he commented. "Just keep an eye on him, and take care of yourself, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, alright." You glared at the window. However, you do have to agree with him, Calvin does seem strange, despite his enormous fanbase and popularity, he seems odd in his interviews.
He speaks in a straightforward and stern way, with the use of some words that you can see in Shakespeare's poems, almost like a strict college professor. Though, that trait of his is genuinely adored by his fanbase.
After a long ride, you arrived at a fancy building. It looks new, judging by numerous posters showcasing their menu and the number of people there are. "Woops," Lois said for the second time today. "Well, that's a lot of people." He chuckled.
He intertwined his hand with yours and pulled you towards the entrance. People look and point at you, until one shouts, "(Y/N)?!" A random person exclaimed, and when you turned around at that person to wave, it confirmed the people's suspicion, and now everyone is running at you.
You sweatdropped, "Oh God," Lois muttered and pulled you into the building. Both of you uttered lots of "excuse me" as your boyfriend waded through the crowd of people just to find a waiter or whoever works in the establishment. "Oh, hey-!" Lois tried to grab the attention of a person who wears a uniform. The uniform of the person contains the name of the restaurant. "Table reserved for Jean and (L/N) please." Lois exhaled.
The person nodded and walked towards a place upstairs, which signaled you both to follow him. As you walked up the stairs, you scanned your surroundings. Even with this amount of people, there are still some spaces. This restaurant is fancy and huge as hell.
"Here is your table, Sir." The waiter gave you both menus and bowed before he left. You took a seat and let out a sigh of relief. On this floor, there aren't that many people, which is a good thing. The table you're sitting at is also beside the glass walls, giving you a view of the outside. "Woah," You admired the scenery.
"I know. I'm good at choosing places for our dates, aren't I?" Lois chuckled as he runs his hands through his hair. "You definitely are." Your eyes remain glued to the busy streets below you, not being able to see the blush that appeared on your boyfriend's face after your compliment.
Lois cleared his throat, "Let's choose our food," You turned around and grabbed the menu, scanning through different delicious yet expensive meals. "Ooh, this looks good," You turned your menu around, showing Lois the food you picked. You're doing all of this, and you seem to not notice the eyes that are stuck on your form. The same pair of eyes from yesterday.

Needletongue, Carrotcake
The world isn't fair. If anything, the inherent injustice of the world is what separates it from the fiction we so adore. Luis Freighthold knew this all too well, and that was why it took a bit longer than it should have to realise when he suddenly had everything he could ever have wanted. Raised in a working-class single-father home, Luis had no other escape than fiction. Specifically, vampire stories of varying quality and genre. There was something appealing about the ability to fly, turn into shadows and become smoke. Danger. An unfamiliarity with the social world that rejected him so. Was it so wrong for him to hope for a different life? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, now he had it—a lust for blood and abilities beyond the understanding of civil man. Could you really say that he had anything left to complain about? A vampire story following an unconventional vampire boy forced to accept that maybe becoming a vampire doesn't magically solve all your problems. As a matter of fact, it might just make a whole bunch of them even worse. Regardless, Luis is prepared to try everything to live up to the vampire books he had previously gorged on. What did it matter that his vampire form had no teeth, replaced instead by a long, needle-tipped tongue? He was still a vampire, wasn't he? Chapters are around 10 A4 pages long, releasing once a week on Mondays, 01:00 CET.
