Emily

"I think I'm ready." My mom just brought my wedding dress in the room, so I can get dressed. Julie is wearing her pink bridesmaid dress. She actually found the dress when we were out shopping and loved it. It fits with my colors perfectly and looks gorgeous on her. Ethan is going to thank me.

My mom and May are wearing pale pink dresses. Charlotte is even in the other room, I asked her if she would like to be in the wedding, but she declined. She is wearing a really pretty light yellow dress and looks like she's glowing. It wouldn't surprise me if she was pregnant too.

Cora looks like a princess, she is wearing a white dress that is the same material as mine.

I love the crepe and when Cora saw it, she wanted one just like me.

I look in the mirror at my hair and makeup. Marcey and Grayson did an amazing job.

My makeup is light and natural and my hair is just what I imagined. He curled all of it and pulled the front part into an intricate braid. It looks so delicate and I love it, he placed my veil below the braid and my long curls are in the front and back, so you'll still be able to see my back in the dress.

I stand and hear a knock on the door. I pull my silk robe tighter and step back from the dress.

"Who is it?"

"The bride's dad." I laugh, he couldn't tell it was me, but he still responded that he was my dad all the same.

"Come in, dad." He opens the door and peeks in like he's expecting everyone to be changing.

"We have about a half and hour 'till and Braxton sent me to give you this." He hands me a small box that looks just like the one I gave him.

"Okay, we'll let you read that in privacy, come on Leo." My mom and dad leave and I'm the only one left.

I open the box and see a letter. That is exactly what I did, I open the letter and begin to read.

Dear Em,

I don't even know how to start this letter. I'll just jump right in. I love you, Emily Rose Shaw. Soon to be Dr.Thompson. Cora is officially a Thompson and when you read this you will be minutes away from becoming one too. I remember the day I met you as if it was yesterday. In some ways it does, you are still just as beautiful as you were then, if not more. You caught my attention that night and have had it ever since. Waking up without you was devastating, but running into you at that cafe was the greatest surprise I've ever been given.

You make me a better man, because I want to be the man that you deserve. You deserve everything this life can give you and I promise to make that happen. You have already given me everything I need and so much more. I will love you and our family for the rest of our life. You, Cora, our son, and all of our future kids are my life. I wouldn't survive without you, I almost faced that and I knew I could never handle that. You have changed my life in the best way possible, I could have never imagined that the most amazing woman I met that night would one day become my wife and the mother of our children. I love you to the moon and back a million times. I can't wait to be your husband and make our family official.

Love, Brax

P.S. This necklace was my grandmother's. Before she passed, she told me to give it to the one woman in the world that I couldn't live without.

It's a really good thing that my mascara is waterproof. I try to blink away the tears, but don't succeed, so I grab a tissue and try to stop crying.

I can't believe that this wonderful man is marrying me. I'm so ready to be his wife!

I look in the box and see a gorgeous necklace. It is obviously expensive, but that's not what draws my attention. It's a gold chain with a gold moon and star. I love it so much.

"Mom, can you come help me get in this dress before I cry all my makeup off?" She walks in and comes over to hug me.

"I love you so much, Emily. I'm happy you found him." It means a lot to me that my parents approve of Braxton.

"Here let me put that gorgeous necklace on you." She places it on my neck and it's perfect because I still needed my something old. My something new is my dress, my something blue is the earrings my mom gave me, and my something borrowed is my mom's veil. She wore it when she married my dad and it matched my dress, so I asked if I could wear it and she loved the idea.

"Okay, step in honey." I step in my dress and she helps pull it up and zip it.

I rest my hands on my bump and look in the mirror, I love everything about how I look.

"You look so beautiful, Emily." I pull her into another hug and Julie walks in with Cora.

"Mommy! You look so pretty! We match!" I lean down and give her a big hug.

"Thank you, baby girl. I love you so much." She whispers it back and my heart is so full.

Just then I feel another kick, my son can't miss out on any of the action. I bring Cora's tiny hand to where he kicked and he does it again.

"That's my bwother!" I grin and stand up.

"Okay, it's time, right?" Julie nods.

We get in the car and drive to the place on the beach, where we are getting married.

I hand Cora her basket of pink and orange petals to scatter down the aisle and Julie her bouquet. Then, I grab my own, it's full of light pink roses.

The drive is short and we all get out, no one can see us yet because we are behind a tent, but I'm so ready!

"Congratulations, sis! You look amazing." Ethan wraps me in a hug and then turns to our mom and starts walking her to a seat. Jack and May give me hugs before walking down the aisle.

When I turn around my dad is behind me and offers his arm. I take it and watch as Cora and Julie walk down together. I can't see the arbor, but Cora does a great job of scattering the flowers. The pumpkins look so pretty scattered around and I love all the cute designs that we made.

I look at my dad. He gives me a smile and we start walking down the aisle. To my forever and always.

When I can finally see him, I smile. He looks more handsome than ever. His face is lit up with my favorite grin.

We get to the arbor and my dad gives me a kiss on the cheek before placing my hands in Braxton's.

The pastor starts talking, but I don't hear a single word.

My eyes are locked on Braxton's and this moment couldn't be more perfect.

I decide to start paying attention, after all I don't want to miss the cues.

"Do you, Braxton Jack Thompson, take thee Emily Rose Shaw, to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part, according to God's holy ordinance, pledging your faith?"

"I do." His voice is strong and confident. Tears prick the backs of my eyes and I hold them in.

He pulls my ring out of his pocket and places it on my left hand.

His eyes stay on mine the whole time and I grip his hands tighter as the minister repeats himself, but with our names switched.

When he gets to the pledging faith part and finishes, I answer.

"I do." The tears I kept at bay before, are cascading down my cheeks. Julie hands me his ring and I slide it on his left hand. The baby kicks and it's perfect, I have my whole family.

Braxton removes his hand from mine and wipes them off. It's pointless though because I quickly replace them, eventually he takes my hand back and I tune back in to the pastor.

"I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride." Braxton places his hands on my belly and pulls me close before kissing me. It doesn't last long because we are surrounded by our family, but it's perfect. Everything about him is perfect.

I can't believe I'm married!

He holds my hand as we walk down the aisle, together this time.

The tent that I stood behind earlier is where we are holding the reception, we head inside and everyone waits outside for a few moments, getting instructions from the pastor.

"I love you so much!" He kisses me again and this time it's delicate. He sweeps his tongue inside and caresses me. He's gentle and sweet, only taking as much as I give him.

I pull back and he kisses my temple.

"I love you too, Brax." We are smiling like crazy, but I guess that's to be expected. We are newlyweds!

I look down at my wedding band and it is gorgeous. It matches my engagement ring perfectly.

He knows me so well, even with the small things.

He leads me over to a pumpkin by the bridal party table and I gasp.

It says, 'I love you to the moon & back', but instead of the word moon, there is a hole shaped like a moon. There are stars all over and it's absolutely breathtaking.

"Is that your pumpkin?" He nods and I swipe at the tears that are already falling again.

My finger grazes the necklace he gave to me and I think about it.

"It's perfect. Did you do that because of the necklace?"

"I thought it fit. I loved the cufflinks and how you had the C for our kids." I smile, I knew he would like that. If he had his way, I would probably be popping out kids constantly.

"The necklace is beautiful, thank you." My voice is soft, we probably don't have much time left, but I love having this special time with him.

"Thank you, for everything. I thought of a name, for our little boy." He places his big hands on my belly again.

"What is it? Come on, you don't want to leave your wife in suspense do you?" His eyes light up at 'wife'. I love it already, I'm Braxton's wife. He's my husband.

"Colin." I love the name, but I have to think it over first.

"Colin Thompson, Colin and Cora, I really like it. What would his middle name be?"

"Maybe it could be Jack, after my dad and my middle name." I cover his hands with mine.

"Colin Jack Thompson. Brax, I think we just named our son! It's perfect, just like everything has been today." Colin decides to join the party and kicks our hands.

We both start laughing, he sure knows how to make an entrance.

People start trickling in and sitting down at the tables set up.

The caterers have the food ready and soon everyone is inside the tent.

Food is served and the two of us go back out to the arbor with the photographer.

We take a few shots then move out to the water.

"Okay, turn your side into him. Yes! Just like that!" She has us moving in all kinds of positions, but I don't mind. Half the time we move the wrong way, then end up laughing.

I hope the pictures turn out, but I know that my memories of this incredible day will be worth more.

"Are you guys about done?" My mom is peeking out of the tent and I look at the photographer.

"Yeah, we are finished." We head inside the tent to celebrate. After all, I have a lot to enjoy!
