《"Pillow Buddy" ✔》100 Donuts In A Minute

If I am ever in a situation where I have to choose to either I accept Cloud's offer or accept the fact that I can't achieve the honor goal is distressing, but it seems like the world hates me so much because during our last period we have to at least have a passing score of 60 over a 120 question exam in all subjects this coming exam season.
Nick didn't even look fazed about the announcement even though he is new here, after classes I spoke to Nick "You look confident"
He grinned at me.
"Nope not really because I don't have confidence in my skills, to be honest, I am nervous like I am supposed to eat 100 donuts in a minute to save my life" his comparison is weird but It is quite amusing to hear.
"Nick don't be too humble or else she might have her grades drop even more" Cloud patted his shoulder and before stepping out of the classroom he gave me a wink.
"What do you mean too humble?"
I was left confused as I asked myself because Nick gave me a sheepish grin then ran out to catch up with Cloud.
Yara walked up to me and showed me what she searched on her phone
Holy crap

I look up to Yara with a bewildered face, she sighs while slowly shaking her head at me "If you haven't caught on, he's gonna ace the test"
I was done from the start, looking at all of my test scores I have never even passed even at least half of what the test contains so if I fail every exam I have to do a retake and my chances of getting an Honors is going to be harder.
I might go berserk because of the situation I'm in, I left and Yara just let me be because she felt pity and I just want me to be alone right now.

I slowly walked out of school while I stare at my foot kicking a small pebble forward, I saw two white converse shoes in front of me and I look up to see Cloud with a smile on his face.
"Your answer?"
I was silent I didn't let out a word and I try to understand my situation
If I accept his offer I can achieve my goal and the constant teasing of me being dumb will stop but at what cost? I have to sleep beside him but my guilt of knowing that Jane likes Cloud makes my guilt even worse
Everything depends on my decision but I need more time.
"I need more time" I answered him
"But I thought you would still say no?" He asked but I know he is making fun of me.
"I have my reasons"
"Suit yourself" he shrugged and walked away waving bye to me.
I fiddled with the strap of my bag as I watch his back go farther and farther away from me
I need more time

We were preparing dinner and I was helping Mom make the lasagna
"Mom"
She didn't looked at me because she was chopping onions for the other food we were making, she instead answered me "hm?"
"Am I dumb like to the point I can't achieve honors kind of dumb?" I asked quietly to avoid others hearing our conversation.
"Sweetie you're not dumb it's just.." She went silent and was thinking hard not to at least lower my self-esteem.
"It's fine Mom, you don't have to answer" I smiled at her and walked away to prepare the table along with Brie and Wendy, something inside me yearned for her to say that I might have at least potential but she went silent.
Was I really that dumb for Mom to be quiet? I thought to myself, Mom is honest and she really wants the best for us but I don't think she sees anything in me. I accidentally let go of the late because I was so deep in my thoughts that it slipped from my hands.

Dad and the rest of my sisters came running to the dining room check what happened.
"It's nothing, the plate slipped from my hand" I said out loud to assure them that everything is fine, they all went back to what they were doing before.
I picked up the broken plate pieces on the ground and threw it in the trash. We ate dinner, I know school would to be brought up in the conversation because I can sense that Dad looks like he is about to ask how our day was.
"So how's school?" Dad asked all of us as we eat.
See?
"I have a math competition" Adeline told Dad, she was chosen as a representative for her class to do the Math competition. Wendy got a perfect score in her pop quiz in Science, Brie announced that she was top in her class today, Natalie said that the head surgeon praised her after a successful surgery.
Ella's essay paper was used as an example for having perfect grammar and complete research and finally, Caramia is now class president the reason is that she knows best about everything and is always punctual. They all looked at me waiting for my answer, I glanced at all them from my plate of mashed potatoes
"It's fine" I muttered
They didn't question further and the topic has now changed on what plans do we have for our future, I immediately finished my plate of food and left the table to go up to my room. I closed the door and slowly walk to sit at my window seat, it was pouring outside right now
I might disappoint them again since I don't really know what I would do for my future
I heard a knock at my door and I didn't bother answering it, not even bothering to look at the door. I heard the door open.
"Hey, Sweetie do you want dessert? It's pudding your favorite" Dad asked me.
"No thanks Dad" I said to him
"Ok but we will leave some for you at the fridge" he closed the door.
I was listening to music for a while when I saw that it was bedtime for everyone, I removed my headphones to go out of my room. I walked quietly and as soon as I was about to go down the stairs I heard Mom and Dad's conversation.
"Honey she asked me if she is dumb" Mom said
I took a peek and they were watching some late-night show and were cuddling on the couch, Dad kissed her on the forehead.
"Maybe in time she can catch up with her peers, you know how children have different speed levels in learning"
"I'm just worried, her future depends on her decisions and how can she make those decisions if she can't even catch up?" Mom told him with so much worry in her eyes.
I am such an idiot, for me to make my parents worry about my future. They don't even worry that much about my sisters because they know the future they would have are bright
I didn't want to hear more so I quietly walked back to my room, closing the door slowly and sat on my bed. I was just lost in my thoughts, my eyes wander around the room and it landed on my phone that was on my desk.
Should I call him?
I stood up and picked up the phone and searched my contacts, I got Cloud's number because he was so full of himself that he took my phone and put his own number in it.
Thankfully I didn't erased it
I was hesitating to press the call button, I remember everything that everyone told me over the years.
Will it stop if I accept it?
I called Cloud and he picked up fast
"Hey Sleepy" his voice was energetic
"I'm surprised you are not asleep at this hour" I joked
"Yeah, it's kind of hard. So what is your answer?" He asked
"I accept your offer" I told him and I can imagine his face right now with that signature smirk on his face
I'm sorry Jane

The Emperor's Concubine
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] The heroine is good and the villainess is evil. That was the absolute truth. That rule was undeniable as well as the fact that only the heroine would receive true love and her happy ending. Likewise, the malicious villainess would always suffer and leave the stage to clear the path for the perfect heroine in the end. So, for Blanche it felt like her world came crashing around her when she remembered the truth about her life. As the villainess in the typical romance novel “To Be Empress” she was fated to be condemned and abandoned by her lover. No matter how devoted she was to Theodore Estien, the emperor of Artias, she would only be the bratty concubine that would obstruct the heroine, who happened to be Theodore's lawful wife and the empress. In the end, the villainess would be deserted and executed. It was destined to happen like this, and yet she couldn't give up. She had to change the future. Preventing the romance between the main characters would get her killed. Much like trying to steer away from the enemies' intrigues, in which she was already caught up, would. But neither the heroine nor the emperor's political rivals would change the fact that Blanche loved the man that was supposed to be the heroine's. And no matter what happened she would always stay by her lover's side. So she wouldn't just follow the book's storyline and let her own doom arrive. Blanche would survive while trying to suppress all of the selfish desires that had made her the villainess. But was she truly fine with that? Did she not desire more than just surviving? Did she even have the right? Could the villainess ask for a happy end? Was she too brazen if she just wanted to stay with the man she loved and receive his affection? And wasn't there a bit more to this novel than she remembered? She didn't know and in the end that mattered little when the world around her changed with each day as more and more questions about the future and the past arose. "The Emperor's Concubine" will be updated thrice a week (usually on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) *The Profanity tag was added due to the characters' occasional swearing, which should not happen too often.
