《Violet》«Epilogue - Mine forever.»

Adrian's POV
Five years...
So much had been changed in my life since then. Audrey, Mark and Christy were arrested and further awaited for their trial in the courts.
I remember seeing an interview taken right before they were charged into the police station. None of their faces showed any remorse. Just anger filled glares and replies for the reporters who desperately tried to get some emotion from them.
After I was rescued along with Violet and Darcy, We were sent to the hospital where we were treated for my injuries. But I never cared about myself, I cared about Violet. She had to be in care longer than me and Darcy for the injuries she had sustained. I had a large cut across my arm for which I needed to get treatment for. But it was nothing compared to Violet's injuries.
I visited her several times in the hospital. It was so difficult to look at her in that broken state. I promised myself that I'd never leave her again. My parents and Lexie visited us too. It wasn't easy for Lexie either to experience this with Darcy. My parents informed me that a trial was taking place in a few months against the criminals.
After we got discharged from the hospital, Violet and I stayed with my parents for a while. We just couldn't get over the shock of the events that had taken place before for a while.
And then the trial had begun, It was hard for me, Violet and my parents, walking into the bitter court. Audrey, Mark and Christy were all tried for first degree murder. Violet, Darcy and I sat opposite to them, as witnesses and victims for the prosecution.
Although the defense fought hard versus the prosecution with a fake alibi claiming that they were not guilty, there wasn't enough evidence to back it up.

Violet, Darcy and I had our testimonies of the day we were abducted and what had happened after. Our testimonies diminished the defense as we had a detailed description of the events and also the police dial that Lexie made on the day.
We needed to fill the court in for the abuse that Violet was experiencing prior to the event, which was when Darcy and I had found her in her room. The evidence was tied up and the jury had reached a final verdict. The foreman, a lady in her mid 30's stood up and spoke.
"Due to the evidence that has been obtained from the victims themselves, the jury find Mark, Audrey and Christy Cherie guilty of all charges for abduction and abuse against
Violet Cherie, Darcy Steve and Adrian Hayes."
The criminals were sent to prison without the possibility of parole. They were to be sent to a high surveillance prison where they would be held in solitary confinement for the rest of their sentence.
I hugged my parents in relief and happiness, and did the same with Darcy too. I could never forget to look in Violet's eyes that day. She appeared so relieved and happy.
When I looked back at the outraged criminals who were pushed by the guards through the doors that sealed their justified fate, Audrey turned back for a second. I could never forget the rage her eyes reflected, it was as if she was envisioning killing me with her own eyes.
I glanced at her emotionlessly before turning away whilst hugging Violet as we walked out of the court. It didn't bother me whether Audrey hated me to the point where she desired to kill me. All that mattered to me was that Violet was safe.
Violet had finally got her justice from the

evil.

But everything about those days disappeared as I stared into the warm, mesmerising brown eyes that I loved more than anything in the world. Her beautiful hair sprawled out on the ground and giggles sounded in my ears.
I shot her a fake frown. "You think it's funny?" I asked her and she nodded eagerly. "You look like a duck," She added, sitting up and patting Alora's head. "Great job Alora!"
I turned my gaze over to my 5 year old daughter and couldn't help but smile as she twisted Violet's lipstick into its container and put the lid on before placing it into Violet's makeup bag. "Thank you Mama! Dada looks so pretty!" She jumped up and down in excitement.
I picked up a mirror and bought it to my face. Red lipstick was smeared upon my lips and mouth, blue eyeshadow messily applied to my eyelids and mascara on my eyelashes. I could feel my face reddening in embarrassment when I put the mirror down and glanced at Violet. She leaned over and pecked my cheek before sitting back. "Of course, don't you think you look good Addie?" She asked as smirked at me.
"I look..." I looked back at Alora and saw her gazing up at me proudly. "-Fantastic. You did an amazing job, Alora." I smiled in appreciation and kissed her cheek. Alora giggled, "Thank you Dada." I smiled at her excitement and leaned down to whisper in her ear, "What about Mama's turn? I think she really wants a makeover too!"
In response, Alora squealed in excitement and nodded her head in approval. We both turned our eyes onto Violet, who seemed to have gotten alarmed at our sudden change in demeanour. "W-what are you two up to?" She suspiciously asked.
I kept my eyes glued to Violet's as I said to Alora, "Sweetheart, bring the makeup out. But let's start with the lipstick." I jumped on Violet and heard her laughing beneath me as I puckered my lips out to hers.
My angel is mine forever.
