《My Unwanted Child》Chapter 2

Nathan POV:

I've been trying to not think about Mia, but it's been hard. I've been going out to clubs and parties every night and drinking until I couldn't think. I hooked up with a few girls and even while having them ride me or suck my cock all I could picture was Mia. My parents flipped out at me cause I missed my finals but luckily they pulled a few strings so I can take make up tests. I avoided the campus so I didn't run into her.

After graduation my parents wanted to take me out to dinner to celebrate. "I'm proud of you son, although you could have gotten better grades." My mom slapped his arm. "Stop it Gary! Son, we are very proud of you. But what happened these last two weeks. Why did you miss your finals? If your father didn't call in a favor you wouldn't have graduated." I looked down. I need to tell them.

"Mom, dad, there's something I need to tell you." They nodded and waited. "First, Mia and I broke up." My mom laughed. I looked up at her surprised. "Well, of course you did. I knew she was just a phase." I was shocked. "I thought you both liked her?" My dad nodded. "Son, She was a nice girl and smart. But let's be serious. She was raised low class. She would never fit into your world." My mom just agreed. "She's not low class, she was raised middle class and she is beautiful, intelligent and an amazing woman!"

My mom waved her hand. "If she's so great why did you dump her?" Now I got nervous. I started sweating. Just spit it out I told myself. "She's pregnant!" I bursted out. My mom shrieked and started crying then my dad said "Are you sure it's yours?" I was surprised by this statement. "Of course, I asked her to get rid of it, but she said she won't." Then my dad sighed. "We'll take care of it, you just focus on the company." I was stunned. "Take care of it? How?" He rolled his eyes. "Don't worry about the details. No more fooling around though. I expect you to work hard at the company and show me you will be ready to become the CEO. Also, I want you to forget about this girl and never see her again. Understood?" I just nodded.

After that, we talked and acted like I didn't just tell them I'm going to be a father. I do miss Mia like crazy, I'm just not ready to start a family. Now, I really have no choice but to fully cut her out no matter how hard that may be. After dinner my parents went home. My father told me I have 1 month to go on vacation or do whatever I want before I start working for him. I guess I should have some fun!

"Oh Gary, what are we going to do? If this gets out we will be a laughing stock!" I sighed. "Relax Lois, it will get taken care of. No one will know." She sniffles but nodded her head. Once we got home I went straight to me office and called my attorney. "What are our options?" I asked. "Well, it depends. We can't force her to terminate the child, but we can have her sign a nondisclosure form. You'll probably need to persuade her financially." I nodded. "Okay, and what about my grandchild. What will happen to him or her?" He sighed. "I thought you didn't want your son being involved?"

It's true, but this is also our grandchild. The heir to my company. "I want full custody. No one will know this is Nathan's child. We will raise our grandchild as our own. We'll come up with a story, that we adopted him or her." He sighed. "We can try, but she would have to sign over full parental rights." I started getting upset. "Just make it happen, I don't care how much it costs."

The next day my lawyer showed up and I've reached out to Mia. She reluctantly agreed to meet with my wife and I. "Oh Gary, what if she won't give up rights of our grandchild?" I sighed "she will, I'll pay her whatever it costs." There was a knock on my door and my butler entered. "Sir Miss Mia Constantine is here." I nodded and waved my hand to let her in. "Good afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Williams."

"Hello dear, thank you for coming." She just nodded and then took a seat. "I'm sure you know why we asked you to come?" She sat up straighter. "Yes sir, I believe I do." I smiled. "Good, this is our lawyer Mr. Johnson. He has some paperwork for you to sign." She raised her eyebrow. "Paperwork?" I just nodded. "Yes. Just a nondisclosure and a contract." She looked like she was getting upset now. "What kind of contract exactly?" Her tone was sharp. "Look Mia, your a smart girl with a bright future. We don't want to see that bright future be wasted. My wife and I decided we will raise our grandchild so you and Nathan have a chance to live your life properly, now of course we will compensate you. We will take care of all your doctor bills and buy you a penthouse as well as a sum of $5 million. We believe this is more then fair."

She started laughing. She is actually laughing at me. "Is something funny Mia?" I was trying to contain my anger, "Yes actually, it's funny that you think I would actually give up rights to MY child for money!" I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding, "I would think very carefully before you make a decision." She gave me a smirk. "With all due respect sir, you should have informed me this was a formal meeting so I could have brought my lawyer. Also, I will not be signing this, I will speak to my lawyer and draw up papers. I have no issue signing a non disclosure act but I don't want any money. All I want is Nathan to sign over his rights. Now if that is all, I'll be going." She stood up and grabbed her bag.

Lois started crying "do something Gary." I stood up as well. "Mia, think very carefully. I believe you are making a huge mistake." She turned and slammed her hands into the desk. "No Mr. Williams, you think very carefully. If you don't want me to ruin your family name I would suggest you play by my rules. Remember, I have the upper hand here! Your son walked out on his responsibilities, I'm nice enough to let him walk without tarnishing his reputation. I just want him to sign over the rights to my child and then none of you will ever see me again. Now, I'll have my lawyer contact yours! Good day!"

With that she stormed out. "Gary! What did you do? We will never see our grandchild!" I sat back down and sighed. "Maybe, it's better this way. I didn't think she was such a spitfire. I'm actually impressed." Lois shrieked "how can you say that. That...that woman is taking away our first grandchild!" I waved her off, "Relax. I'll wait to get the paperwork and then we'll negotiate something. Plus this child is the heir no matter what."

Just as Mia promised we receive paperwork within 2 days. She agreed to sign a nondisclosure act and she wants no money as long as Nathan signs over all rights but she also wants us to sign over any grandparents rights as well. She wants no contact from any of us. Well, this will not due. Our lawyer sent over a new contract. We agreed to everything, but we want visitations once every 6 months discreetly as well as updates on the child monthly. We agreed to not tell the child we are their grandparents and not let the child know who their father is as well which she requested. Also, we tried to get her to agree that we would pay for all expenses for the child but she refused to budge on that. We also offered her a monthly allowance and a home paid off and once again this stubborn young woman refused. We had no choice but to agree to her terms. We are grateful that we will be able to know our grandchild at least.

As much as I hate to say it, I am surprised by this young woman. I assumed she was dating my son for his money, especially since she got pregnant. But, she's not. I'm honestly feeling ashamed with myself. I should have never let Nathan walk away from his responsibilities. This woman was good for him. I know she is the one who pushed him in school as well. She graduated with honors and finished a year early. I also know she has a very impressive job lined up and I found out she's somewhat of an entrepreneur. She owns some real estate that she makes a good profit off of monthly. The surprising thing is she started purchasing properties at only 18. She's a smart girl.

"Lois, I think before we sign these papers we should talk to Nathan. Maybe we should stop saving him and let him take responsibility." Lois glared at me "and what, have him get married to this low class gold digger?" I sighed, "Lois, Nathan could have chose worse, she's a smart girl. She can easily be taught how to act in our society." She scoffed. "She's nothing but trash. I want nothing to do with her. I just want to know my grandchild! I will find Nathan a suitable woman when the time comes." I ran my hands through my hair. I feel like I'm making a mistake here but I signed the papers anyway. "Nathan will never know anything about this. Understood?" She nodded and signed the paperwork as well. I sent the paperwork to Nathan to sign over rights to his child as well.

I answer my phone and it's Nathan "whats this paperwork about dad?" I cleared my throat, "you know what it's about. You are signing over your rights to this child. You will never contact Mia or the child." I heard the line go silent "so I can never meet my kid?" I sighed, "this is what you wanted isn't son?" "Son?" Finally Nathan answered. "I mean, I guess. But I won't even know if it's a boy or girl. I'll never even be able to see a picture of my kid?" My heart broke for my son, but he made his bed. "That's right, you don't get to pick and choose when you want to be a father. You're either all in or all out. The child will be given up for adoption anyway. A closed adoption." "Dad, I don't know if I can do this." He sounded defeated. "You don't have much of a choice. You walked away from Mia, that comes with consequences." He sighed in defeat. "Fine, I'll send them back once I'm done signing them." With that he hung up.
