Chapter 12
At the front page of the newspaper, the picture of his back leaving the altar which he regretted of doing that was broad at a side with the headlines, "BILLIONAIRE DOLLARS NATHANIEL HUGH LEFT HIS WIFE AT THE ALTAR". The sentence was bold on the front page as he skimmed through it before he stopped at the last test, "Did they really do fake wedding as people whispered or…?" a big question mark was pasted at the head. He threw the paper away in a fit of anger as he felt anger rushed through his vein and shouted ordered ar his startled PA, "Who the fuck publish this absurdly" he yelled, clenching his fist while his PA gulped nervously, rubbing his long arm, his boss was always calm and collected but this news had made him piss of. No, but totally pissed off.
"I believe it is Mr Maxwell's company" he responded slowly. His happy mood this morning had been dampened with the news, "Sue the company for infringement of my name" he barked out the order, rolling up his sleeves, "And call my lawyer to collect the charges or close down their company" while the PA rushed out to carry out his boss orders. The PA didn't know what made him explode like an explosive time bomb. His boss was ruthless and cold, within his finger tip, he could destroy or make someone's life. Just a call!, he knew that Mr Maxwell and his company was gone with just a phone call his boss did, the PA shivered and shook his head in fear.
I'm going to make him regret ever thinking of publishing this, Nathaniel seethed.
Nicholas was about to enter his car when he heard his phone rang, he took it out front his front pocket and swiped the green to pick it, "Yo brother!" he greeted in cheerful tone, "how are you and your wedding night, I hope it was splendid?" he asked and the mischievous could be heard in his voice, gesturing for his two cousins to enter the car for him to finish his call with his friend. "I'm Lea…" his question was interrupted by his not so happy friend - Nathaniel.
"Where the fuck are you?" he asked, simmering in anger. He had left his office in anger to meet his friend's house only to find his door was locked. He had fired almost all his employees in his office earlier, anyone he saw slacking, peeping or just saying a word was fired whether he or she was good at what he or she did in his company. He didn't care because he would see other workers.

"I'm just leaving granny's place" Nicky said while Nathaniel grunted in response.
"Is it important?" Nathaniel asked, knitting his brows in confusion. Why did his friend need to see him?
"Yeah".
"Okay, let's meet at p&p down the street" Nicky informed and hung up, putting on his shaded glass and drove off.
Nathaniel drove to the familiar environment before packing a house away from the Cafe as he saw his friend who rested on his car and high-school girls surrounding him, swooning over him as his friend was busy flashing them his ladies killer's smile. He shook his friend in dismay, his friend was what was called Player.
Nathaniel didn't wait for his friend who was surrounded by females and walked inside the Cafe as he entered, a different scent of coffee assaulted his two nostrils and he breathed it loudly. He took a seat beside the window as others entered making themselves comfortable.
"You can't even wait for me?" Nicky said, dragging his booth to the back before sitting on it.
"Why should I wait for you when I've seen you've busy yourself with something else?" Nathaniel muttered disdainfully, nodding at his friend's cousins as a response to them greeting him. "So what's the urgent thing that you want to tell me that makes me break all the traffic rules today?" he inquired, raising his right brow.
"I went to the office today" He stared only to be stopped by Nick who stared at him as if he had grown another pair of heads.
"You mean your company?" Nick asked while Nathaniel nodded grimly.
"Don't tell me you leave the poor girl alone again without seeing her?" Nick asked slowly again while he nodded, thin lipped.
"What's the actual fuck is wrong with you" Nick shouted at him, banging his hand on the table while the people turned and stared at their table and he mumbled out an unheard apology with a small bow. He stared at his friend for a long period of time yet a short moment before shrugging his shoulders and gesturing to a nearby waitress.
"Yesterday has been a long day for her so I thought that excusing myself from home and I don't think she needs my presence also" he defended his action.
"Why is your common sense not common my dear friend" Nick sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. His friend was one of the most complicated human beings ever seen.

"But…".
"No but" Nick reprimanded, "when I tell you to take part in learning female's anatomy but you refused, see where it leads you to" he admonished, "I'll just tell you that, you should go back home to your wife…" he tried to advised his friend as a melodious voice drifted him from what he was trying to say and he raised his head up only to met with a brown big doe eyes.
"Welcome to the p&p coffee shop" the waitress smiled softly at them in a professional way, not casting them a flirty gaze which bruised Nick ego. The lady blatantly ignored him.
"I'm Reina, your waitress for now. What can I get you sirs?" she asked, holding out his book and pen to write down their orders..
They stated their orders and the lady scribbled down them without looking at any of them in eyes which infuriated Nick and impulsively smacked her on her butt.
Nathaniel shot his friend a question and his friend ignored him. The lady looked shocked before her beautiful face morphed into anger and she raised her hand up then slapped Nick hard across his face.
"Woah" Nathaniel whistled, it was the first time his friend would receive a slap from a female. His friend finally met a lady who would put his player's ass in his place. He grinned impishly, folded his arms waiting for his friend to recover from the shocking slap.
"How dare you nitwit human being touched me without my permission" the waitress screamed angrily, clenching her small fist before taking a menacing steps towards his friend, poking his chest, "I'm different from the rest, if you try it with me again" she hissed and walked out, his friend released a breathe he had been holding in when the lady neared him.
"See your face" his friend's cousin laughed out while a smile played on Nathaniel 's lips.
A moment later, a stout man came out of the office worriedly, gulping nervously, "We are sorry for her employee's behavior" the man cracked his neck. The manager was scared for his life, he knew who the men were, they could destroy his life and everything. The manager turned to the lady who didn't look with an ounce of regret in her as she could send hateful diggers at Nick.
"Reina" the manager called the waitress, "please do say sorry for your action to the customer" a pleading tone could be heard in the manager's voice, "Customers are always right" the manager tried to remind Reina of their protocol here.
"Excuse me sir" the waitress gritted her teeth together, "how do you want me to plead when he was the one who was wrong" the lady tried to defend her action. She was outraged, how could they expect her to beg when she did nothing wrong.
The manager slumped his shoulder in defeat and turned to Nick, "we are sorry for the inconvenience sir" the manager bowed.
"Okay" Nick said, with a sly smirk playing on his lips while the manager sighed in relief, sending a quick prayers to God, "but…" Nick touched his cheek "You're Not the one who is wrong" he stated arrogantly, "it was her I want to beg" he said rudely .
"Sir.. " the manager trailed off.
"Choose her or me" Nick smiled arrogantly. He knew and the manager with everyone knew that the manager was going to pick him for who he was.
"Beg or quit" the manager threatened.
"I would rather quit than to beg this foolish arrogant son of nutcracker" Reina hissed loudly, removing her apron and slammed it down on the table then turned a angry glare at Nick as tears glistened in his eyes, "I hate you don't ever show your face to me again" she screamed at him and walked away, not wanting to shed her tears.
Nick stood up abruptly, wanting to follow his fiery little lady, the hatred in his voice made his stomach churned and he felt bad, "we will talk on the phone later, do go back home and your PA informed us about what happened. We'll continue later" he said quickly and rushed out, leaving Nathaniel on the table while his cousins followed him.
Everyone with his problem.
