"Tyler, I swear if you don't shut up I will throw you out of this moving car." Jace shouted.

Right after school, we had gone to my house so I could pack a bag for the lake. I met my brother there, when he insisted that he come too or else.

I think he only wanted to go so he could protect his sister from the big bad Jace Johnson.

The only downside was that now Jace was grumpy, and Tyler was being overly annoying and doing his best to antagonize Jace, the driver.

Tyler sat between Cal, who was looking up to him like he was a god, and Hallie, who called him cute.

Currently, Tyler was singing the ABC's with Hallie as loud as he possibly could.

Cal, was laughing and encouraging him, and Jace was fuming.

I was torn between slapping my brother in the face and bursting out in laughter.

"Alexis," Jace hissed through his teeth, "Please shut him up". We pulled up to a red light and Jace looked at me, begging with his eyes.

There was probably only one thing that could get Tyler to shut up...

I leaned over and kissed Jace's cheek.

Jace's eyes widened in surprise, and a hint of a blush appeared.

"Alexis West you did not just fu-"

"Language!" I shouted just in time cutting Tyler off.

"Alexis West you did not just flipping kiss that boy on the cheek!" Tyler retried.

"I actually did." I replied smirking.

Tyler slumped down in his seat pouting.

Jace started driving again as the light turned green but casually commented, "She's kissed me on the lips too." I could feel the smirk through his words.

I buried my face in my hands. This was confirmation enough for Ty.

"Be lucky you're driving or I would've smacked you to China." Tyler hissed.

"Sure you would have." Jace nodded completely mockingly.

Tyler glared and sat still in his seat. "I can't believe you kissed my baby sister." he muttered.

...

When we got to the house, I knew the worst was to come when Jace got out of the car to get the bags.

After an 'oomph' and a thump, I knew Tyler had officially tackled Jace to the ground. Poor Jace, Tyler was a football player.

But then again, Jace was Jace.

And seconds later, the girly scream, and the groan confirmed that Jace was alright, but Tyler....

I got out of the car and saw Tyler holding his crotch as Jace winced. "Sorry man, but you tackled me." Jace apologized actually sounding genuine.

I grabbed Hallie and my bags as Cal grabbed his. I reached into Jace's pocket and grabbed the keys to the cabin.

We walked into the house and it was huge. The first thing that I saw was a beautiful grand staircase that curled around the room and showcased a giant chandelier that hung in the center.

"So where is everyone sleeping?" I asked looking around in awe.

"Im pretty sure almost everyone will have their own room," Cal said casually.

"One room has bunk beds, so we have to decide who has to share," Hallie explained.

"Oh, oh, Tyler, do you want to sleep in the bunk bed with me?" Cal asked excitedly.

"Yeah totally dude," Tyler said and fist bumped Cal.

I noticed something strange as the boys unloaded the car... Tyler and Jace were acting oddly civilized. I could tell it wasn't gonna last long.

"Wait Lex, you better lock your door at night, I don't want Johnson sneaking into your room at night," Tyler said loudly as he walked up the stairs to go to his shared room with Cal.

"There's no need for that, " Jace smirked cockily.

I turned to Jace with a raised eyebrow, "Excuse me?"

"You heard me," Jace whispered. he looked around to make sure that no one was around before he bit his lip and walked towards me. As he approached, I felt like the air had gotten thicker and warmer around us.

He backed me up until my back was against the wall, and his body entrapped me loosely.

"Jace...." I murmured, my voice coming out in a breathy whisper.

He dipped his head towards me, and we were focused on the same thing.

Before anything else happened, we were interrupted by a voice coming from upstairs, "Johnson get away from my sister."

...

After everything was unloaded from the car and we were all settled in our rooms, we decided to go to the dock and check out the lake.

It was spring, so it wasn't too cold, but it wasn't scorching, in my opinion the weather was just right.

Hallie and I got our swim suits on

"Where are the boys?" I asked her as I packed a bag with sunscreen and some snacks.

"They went to the dock already," Hallie said and grabbed my hand, "lets go meet them."

Hallie and I walked to the dock and it was huge. There were 2 jet skies, a few lounge chairs, and a table that the boys had a speaker on and was blasting explicit rap music. I covered Hallies's ears and then pressed the power off button on the speaker.

"Party pooper," Tyler yelled from an inflatable tube in the water.

I rolled my eyes and looked around, the view of the water was so pretty and there was a huge rock the size of a cliff across the lake that was just in sight.

"Lex grab a float and get in," Cal yelled from in the water.

"Okay," I said and took off my romper and shoved it in my bag, and then grabbed a float that looked like a doughnut, "is everyone wearing sunscreen?"

"Yes," everyone said collectively in an annoyed tone.

"Just checking," I said with a laugh and got in the water with my big doughnut.

"Hey Johnson," Tyler said to Jace, "tomorrow we should jump off of that rock over there," he challenged and pointed to the huge rock across the water.

"Okay I'm in, we can all take the jet skies over," Jace confirmed.

We all swam in the water for a few hours until the sun started to set, "Im gonna go start dinner," I said and started to climb out of the water using the ladder.

"Stop staring at my sisters ass," I heard Tyler growl from in the water when I was on the dock and out the water completely. I couldn't help but blush, "real mature guys, Cal you're in charge."

"What? Why is he in charge?" Jace asked, "I'm older."

"You're too busy actng like a child with my brother who is a child."

"Hey!"

I laughed and went up to the house to make Mac and cheese, and when I was done I went on the porch and yelled "Dinner's ready. Come on guys."

Tyler and Jace raced to the porch where Cal came in a split second earlier.

"Ha! I win." Tyler taunted.

"I will kiss her." Jace said pointing at me.

"Excuse me, she's right here." I piped up.

Jace flashed me a guilty grin and I rolled my eyes.

....

"This is so good, Lex." Hallie said as she ate her mac and cheese.

"Thank you Hallie." I said smiling.

Jace and Tyler sat opposite each other at the table, and they'd been having an ongoing glaring competition.

"So Lexi, what's going on with you and Jace?" Tyler asked oddly.

I almost choked on my Mac and cheese.

"Um, we, uh, just you know-" I spluttered. I looked towards Jace and he shrugged, "Nothing." I said.

"Good, you could do better than him. He doesn't deserve someone like you." Tyler shrugged, hiding a smirk.

Jace glared at him so hard that I thought Tyler might explode under the pressure of his gaze.

"Tyler, that's not true." I hissed at my brother, "Jace you know it's not true." I whispered turning towards him.

"No Alexis, let him talk," Jace retorted.

"Shut up, you're Jace Johnson and you're special to me." I explained. "And Tyler is an asshole, but he's doing what he thinks is right. Now please, everyone, calm down and lets eat."
