My whole world seems to stop from hearing that single word. Alpha Jordan is the first to say something.

"Your Highness, I do not mean to question you, but she is a lowly Omega, there must be a mistake."

This causes Kenna and six other people to growl. The prince and princess had joined their parents sometime during this whole thing and were in shock and seemed to be angered at Alpha Jordan's words. Luna Adaline was also someone who growled and seemed very upset.

The Alpha King was the one who gave out the most vicious growl of them all and seemed to be shaking with anger.

"What.Did.You.Say.Mutt?"

Alpha Jordan just submitted to the King and collapsed on the floor at Alpha Lucas' feet whilst mumbling apologies to everyone.

I was still in shock and didn't know how to address the situation. Kenna on the other hand was howling and prancing in joy at finding our mate.

MATE! WE FOUND OUR MATE!! TOLD YOU WE WOULD!!

Kenna... he's the ALPHA KING! We can't be his mate.

HE'S OUR MATE! He will love us and get us away from the scumbag at our feet! We are free! So say something to him!

"H-hi..."

I just put my head back down waiting for him to say something as I tuck a piece of hair behind my ear. Anything at all would be nice...

Luna Adaline is next to speak.

"Dear, it's alright. You needn't fear."

This puts a slightly confused look on the Alpha King's face before he hides it away behind a mask.

"So what is your name,mate?"

Kenna keeps pushing and clawing at my mind to make eye contact with our mate again and to say something but my fear has taken over my body, causing me to involuntarily shake.

As the seconds ticked by that I didn't say something, the King's aura grew, everyone around could feel the Alpha King's aura grow with each passing second. Many people dropped to their knees, unable to keep themselves upright against the ever growing aura.

The only people left standing was the King's family, Luna Adaline, and me. I was paralyzed with fear, unable to break my stare with the floor. Finally Luna Adaline said something.

"Your Highness? I mean no disrespect but you are frightening her. She has not had an easy time while residing under my husbands rule."

I risked a look upwards and saw the King with his head slightly tilted whilst looking at Luna Adaline. The way he was looking was adorable and I couldn't help the giggle that escaped my lips.

All eyes snapped to me and I realized my mistake. I made a sound. Sounds equal beatings when we get home. Stricken with a new sense of fear I'm stuck looking upwards, unable to move my head back to the floor. Kenna also isn't helping, wanting a good look at our mate.

"Luna Adaline, what do you mean she has had a hard life?"

I didn't recognize this voice, but it sounded older and feminine. Must be the King's mother.

"She was beaten your Highness. My husband would take all his anger out on her. No one treated her kindly and all the men were given permission to beat her. Jordan encouraged it. No one wanted to disobey him and day after day I would have grown men, begging me to forgive them and to get her out of there. No one wanted to beat her or be unkind, but if you showed an inch of kindness, then Jordan's wrath was directed towards them."

Once Luna Adaline was finished, A large pulse of anger shot from the King, making everyone whimper in fear. In one swift motion, the King had Alpha Jordan up, dangling in the air, by his collar.

"Did you do these things?"

Alpha Jordan just nodded his head, fear prominent in his eyes.

"Then I strip you of your title, Alpha of the Rapid River Pack. You are now an Omega, and due to treason performed on the Royal family, on my MATE, you are sentenced to death. Any last words?"

Alpha Jordan just looked at me with pure disgust and looked at Luna Adaline with pure anger.

"You were a horrible fake mate Adaline! Without me you are worthless! Aud-"

Before Jordan could say what he wanted to me, the King snapped his neck.

I was frozen in shock. I'm free. I'm free. I'm Free!

Audrey! We're Free! He can't hurt us anymore! We can be with Mate! Adaline is free too! I told you we were going to get away from him!

Kenna, we can't go with him! He just killed someone like it was nothing! He could hurt us! I'm sorry Kenna but we can't be with him.

Audrey what are you talking about? He's our MATE!

"Y-your H-highness? I-i'm sorry b-but t-there m-must b-be a-a m-mistake..."

A loud growl sounded through the whole ballroom causing me to start shaking and a whimper to escape my lips. This caused the King to stop growling.

He pulled me to his chest and yelled out to the whole ballroom.

"MINE!"

With that I let the fear in my chest to cloud my vision. My legs gave out as I collapsed into the Alpha King's arms and chest.
