《DeLuca's Home for Mentally Disturbed Boys (BxB Fantasy Polyamory)》Chapter 25

"Um, will this work?" I asked Angel, showing the outfit I'd picked from my brand new wardrobe.

Angel eyed the pressed pale yellow button-down shirt, black shorts with suspenders, black thigh-high socks with a tasteful star pattern around the tops, and the black dressier shoes that I knew my Daddy had picked out.

"It looks good, sweetheart. Bring a jacket with you, though. It will be chilly in some areas."

I grinned and hugged his waist. "Okay, Angel!"

Angel smiled and bent over to kiss my cheek. "Go get changed. I need to get dressed as well."

I nodded with a broad smile, then set to my task as he headed for the door. I was already wearing clean black underwear after my shower with Angel. He really did have a magnificent body like Daddy.

I blushed to myself as I pulled on my socks and buttoned the collared t-shirt. I was very careful to do it right, since I wanted him to be as proud of me as I am for getting the buttons done correctly. I stepped into the shorts and pulled them up, carefully tucking the t-shirt in while I buttoned the shorts. I slid up the suspenders and tightened them.

I grinned when I hopped over to the bathroom mirror to brush my teeth again. I looked cute. Once I was ready to go with my jacket over one arm, I slipped my shoes on and tied the laces, then stepped out of the room.

"Aw, you're all dressed up! What's the occasion, Annie?" asked Waltz, as he bounded over to grab me in a hug.

I giggled and hugged his waist. "I'm going out with Angel."

Waltz's eyebrows rose. "On a date? I wanna take you out on a date!" he whined, cuddling my small form close to his body.

Angel laughed from behind him. "It's not a date, Waltz."

"Then why?"

"I just need him for a day." Angel smiled, so I grinned back.

Waltz pecked my lips, then hopped away. "See ya later, then!"

I giggled with a wave. "See you!"

Angel petted my hair. "Hold still, sweetheart."

I held perfectly still as he pulled something from his pocket. He brushed my hair back a bit on the right side, then clipped it in place with two barrettes. I felt the smooth cold plastic on top and the metal holding my hair back.

Angel cupped my cheek with a grin, pecking my lips. "Come on, then. Our ride is waiting for us."

He held out his hand, so I grasped it. As we began walking, I finally noticed he was in a very dark blue suit with a crisp pale blue pressed shirt with a stiff collar, and wore a tie with thin slanted stripes of gray and blue shades. His pale blond curls were tamed, and a fierce look was in his sky blue eyes. I blushed a bit, lowering my gaze to the floor. His dress shoes were the darkest blue I had ever seen. I almost mistook them for black, except that the light made a blue sheen appear.

I clutched my jacket a bit tighter and squeezed Angel's hand when I saw a fancy car waiting outside the home. I cocked my head to the side when a man got out and opened the door for Angel.

"Sir, your nine o'clock meeting is still on schedule." said the man, bowing to Angel as he climbed in. He glanced up and saw me. "Sir, may I inquire to who this child is?"

Angel glared at the man. "Ask him yourself, Clyde. He's an adult."

The man named Clyde immediately straightened. I grinned and held out my hand. "Nice to meet you! I'm Anwyll. What's your name?"

Clyde glanced back and forth between Angel and I, but eventually grasped my hand in a delicate grasp. "Clyde Graham, at your service." he said, with a tone filled with confusion. "How old are you?"

"Eighteen!" I grinned, my tail wagging.

Angel bit back his laughter when he saw my whirling tail. Clyde was stunned, but he closed his mouth as I climbed into the car. He shut the door, then Angel tugged my butt onto his lap. I blushed, but cuddled into his embrace.

"You are far too adorable, my beautiful little wolf." murmured Angel, petting my ears and head.

"Hehe, thank you." I kissed his cheek as Clyde settled into the driver's seat. "What's on the agenda today?"

"Mostly meetings, some paperwork, and a gala in the evening."

"Oh, will I be dressed well enough for that?" I asked in a soft voice. "I don't want to shame you."

Angel cocked an eyebrow. "Shame me? My little wolf, that is impossible. Besides, I approved your choice of clothing. Are you doubting me?"

I pursed my lips and shook my head. "No, I'm not. I was just making sure."

My stunning unicorn pressed a finger to my lips, then pinched my cheeks. "Then you have your answer. Don't doubt yourself, sweetheart."

I flushed and hid my face in his neck. "Mmkay, Angel. Thank you."

He chuckled, squeezing me a bit tighter as he buckled himself in. I nosed his throat, then relaxed with a soft sigh. My tail twitched across the cool leather seats, but my nose was filled with Angel's natural scent mixed with a light cologne. It was nearly intoxicating.

I closed my eyes and listened to the steady thump in Angel's chest. My breaths came out steady, but I could hear my heart pounding. My face flushed a red when I thought of last night, but I calmed down when I remembered the situation. Where exactly where were we going? And how important was Angel for him to be picked up in a sleek, expensive car?

"I can hear you thinking, sweetheart. Tell me what has your mind in a fuss?"

I rubbed my cheek on his chest. "Um, where are we going?"

"My work building."

"Okay, and how important are you for being picked up in this nice car?"

Clyde snorted, since the partition was open. "Sir, did you not tell him?"

Angel smirked as I tilted my head back to look up at him. "No, because it wouldn't matter to him."

Clyde glanced back in the rear view mirror. "Is that so?"

"I know Anwyll. He doesn't care about titles, but for the people who have them hanging over their heads." said Angel, so I blushed with happiness from the praise.

"You give him high praise, Sir, but what if he betrays you?"

Angel cocked an eyebrow. "Anwyll?"

"Yes?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Are you not going to defend yourself?"

I giggled. "Nope, because even if I try to tell him otherwise, he still won't believe me. Clyde really cares for you."

Clyde's breath hitched and he spluttered nonsensical things, squeezing the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white. Angel smirked, his chest puffing with pride.

"H-he's just my boss!" finally exclaimed Clyde, which startled me. I was just starting to get back into my relaxed state.

Angel sighed with a simple glare, and Clyde immediately shut his mouth. His cheeks were warm from mortification. I silently apologized to him. I didn't think Clyde actually held feelings for Angel.

Clyde wasn't bad looking, though. He was quite cute with a clean-shaven face and blue eyes. Dark brown hair was slicked back, and his figure was slim.

Angel petted my ears, smoothing the fur on them. I shivered, tucking my face back into his neck. He muffled his laughter into a soft snort. It grew silent and calming again, so I found myself falling asleep.

When the car came to a stop, Angel gently kissed my head to awaken my sleepy mind and body from its semi-conscious state. I yawned, gently rubbing my eyes as he climbed out with me in his arms. I yawned again, resting my chin on his shoulder. Angel handed me my jacket, so I held it tight while I snuggled into his arms.

"Anwyll," started Angel, so my wolf ears snapped up. "Be yourself, all right? You don't need to be afraid."

"Mm, I know, Angel. Thank you." I giggled sleepily as he began to walk. "I'm safe in your arms."

He turned his head and kissed my mine. I grinned, my tail wagging with happiness. Angel petted my thigh with his left hand, his other hand holding his briefcase. I relaxed again as we entered an elevator. Clyde followed inside and pressed a couple buttons, but I could feel his stare.

"Sir, if I may be so bold..."

"Yes?" snapped Angel, clearly annoyed with the silence being interrupted. "Spit it out, Clyde."

Clyde bit his cheek. "What kind of relationship do you have with the child?"

Angel turned his head and I heard a thump in Clyde's direction. I glanced over to see his fearful expression, so I leaned forward to nuzzle Angel's throat and press a kiss there. My irritated unicorn snorted and leaned back.

"That is none of your business, Clyde. You should know your place by now."

Clyde quieted, a dark expression in his eyes. He left the elevator on a different floor, then I felt many stares until the door closed.

"Angel?"

"Mm?"

I sighed. "You hurt Clyde."

Angel snorted. "So what? I don't want his feelings."

"He's still your employee. You can't treat him like some scum off the earth. He's still trying to work hard to keep his job, despite your blatant loathing of him."

"I know, damn it. Damn it, Anwyll, why do you speak truth?"

I giggled. "Because I love you, and I don't want anything to happen to you."

Angel kissed my head again. "I love you too, my precious wolf."

"You'll apologize today, right?"

He snorted. "Sure, sweetheart. I guess I owe him that much. He has been a pain in the ass lately, though."

"No swearing, Ange. You've got to tell him flat-out that you cannot accept his feelings, but if he continues to impede on your work ethic, then you will have to give him a warning that his job is on the line."

Angel hummed, then squeezed my thigh. "I will consider it, sweetheart."

I nodded and kissed his throat again, then settled down as the elevator ground to a halt. It opened, then Angel's aura changed. I grew silent, just happy to silently observe the reactions of people in the office.

There were more than a few busy people, so not many looked up at Angel as he strode past the cubicles. But those who did had eyes as large as saucers. I sleepily giggled and wiggled my fingers at them while Angel unlocked the door. They rubbed their eyes and temples, then took another look before Angel disappeared into his office. There was a young man at a small desk outside of Angel's office who was the most flabbergasted out of all the people I have seen so far.

Angel shut the door and made the blinds slanted to give us some privacy, then dropped his briefcase onto the desk and took a seat. I settled myself on his lap like I would sit on Daddy's lap in his office, with my butt on Angel's lap and my legs through the arms of the chair.

"Sleep, sweetheart. I know you're tired. I will awaken you if necessary."

"Mmkay, Ange. Love you," I mumbled, my eyelids heavier than a bag of sand.

"Love you too, sweetheart." he whispered, and I heard the whirr of his computer as it came to life, while my mind logged off into sleep mode.

The next time I awakened, I was on a small sofa in the corner of Angel's office. He was nowhere to be found. I sat up and felt something flop down, quickly learning that my jacket had been draped over me. I giggled to myself as I flopped back down and cuddled with my tail. Angel was so sweet to me. I wonder who he is, though, and what he does for a living.

I mean, his office is on the top floor with a fantastic view. Normal people don't get to work on this particular floor.

In the midst of my musings, the door unlocked and creaked open, so I perked up. The person who came in wasn't Angel, though. I bit my cheek as the man slunk inside, and I raised an eyebrow when he began to rifle through he drawers of Angel's desk.

"You're not supposed to be in here." I said softly, which made the man tense. He completely froze when I continued, "Are you?"

The man straightened and finally looked at me. He must have thought of something, because his facial expression turned from fright, to triumph, and now that of a slimy weasel trying to butter me up.

"Oh, what a cute kid! Are you Sir Angelique's little brother? Did you beg him to bring you to work? You must be so close to him."

I remained silent, just watching him with a neutral expression.

"I am actually his coworker and he forgot to give me an important file. I really need it, so I came to get it. No harm there." continued the man, but I obviously wasn't having it.

I got off the sofa and moved into the light. The man's eyes widened, while I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Look, Mister, you really need to leave. I can tell you have bad intentions."

The man dropped the blatant facade. "Oh? Can you stay strong, kid, when faced with this?" he asked, pulling out a knife.

I shifted my weight and stared him dead in the eyes. "Yes, but can you back up your subtle threats? Do you have it in you to slash up this kid?"

He gulped, his hands starting to shake. I walked over to him and removed the blade from his hand. "Look, Mister, I don't believe that you're doing the right thing. Angelique may be hurt by whatever you plan to do, and I can't allow that, but in the end, you will be corrupt and your heart tainted with greed. Can you love with yourself after ruining someone's career, because in the end, yours will be destroyed, too."

The man watched me with dull brown eyes. "Is that a threat?"

I cocked an eyebrow. "No, it's just how it is. Take it or leave it, but that's your future if you decide to go down this path. How many will trust you if this gets on your record? It's not easy to find a job after you betray someone important."

He sighed and rubbed his face. "Fine, I'll turn myself in and hand in my resignation letter."

"Just come with me." I said with a smile, holding out my hand. He stared at it with a dubious expression. "It's okay, I won't let Angelique do anything bad to you."

The man rolled his eyes. "We will see about that." he muttered under his breath.

The man took my hand, so I led him out of the office and closed the door. "Lock it and give me that spare key you made."

He frowned. "How did you—?"

"Angelique locks the door to his office when he leaves, so you must have had a spare key to get inside." I explained, holding out my left hand.

The almost-thief locked the door and handed over the key. I smiled and tucked it away into my shirt. The man let himself be led down the hall.

"Where's Angelique's meeting being held?" I asked, so the man gave me directions and plodded alongside me like a scolded horse.

I knocked on the wooden double doors, and waited patiently. The young man from before peeked outside and saw me.

"Kid, your brother is busy."

"I know, but this is pretty important." I said with a firm tone, staring into his eyes.

He shivered and looked away. "All right, I will ask him to come out."

"Thank you!" I grinned.

The young man disappeared, then Angel rushed out a moment later. He saw the man's hand connected with mine and growled deeply, yanking my body away from the man.

"What did you do to him!" snarled Angel, as he held me tightly.

I whimpered when my waist hurt from his grip, so Angel apologized and relaxed ever so slightly. "What's going on?"

"Mm, well, this man almost did something really bad and I stopped him." I said, which made Angel growl again, but I kissed near his horn to calm him down. My unicorn instantly became calm.

The man stared incredulously at the two of us. I giggled. "Anyway, he didn't touch me, if that's what you're worried about, but he made a spare key and was rifling through your desk when I stopped him."

Angel was completely silent, before he mumbled something about the Butterfly Effect again. I don't know what that is, but I'm assuming it has to do with choices.

"Anwyll, wait here for me. I must speak with this man alone. I will be back soon." said Angel, so I nodded and hugged his hips before he left.

"Don't be too mean to him, okay? He did come with me, after all."

Angel blinked in response and turned away, striding down the hall with the other man behind him. The young man from before peered out again. He gasped when he looked around.

"Where did the boss go?" he asked.

"Mm, he went to talk with the man that I brought. He said he'd be back soon. Do you need help?" I asked, tilting my head.

The young man almost seemed to write me off, then tugged me inside the meeting room. I was quite surprised about how spacious it was in length and width. There was a long oval-shaped table with more than a few chairs filled with older men and women and the same with younger people. I blinked a few times.

"May I see your notes?" I asked the young man, who I concluded to be the secretary, while staring at the presentation that was being given by a young woman.

The secretary handed them over. I read through each page and hummed under my breath. The other company had designed a new project for a special building near the heart of this city, and Angel was hosting the meeting since the other company was not a competitor but an ally. I kept reading, all the while walking over to the young woman who was stuttering through the process and getting nowhere. She finally stopped when I reached her side.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" she asked, trying to sound really sweet.

I scrunched up my nose when I sensed the underlying dislike of children. "My name is Anwyll, and I came with Angelique."

There were shocked faces around the table. I held back my laughter while I continued, "Did you do any proper research in gathering data, information, costs of building supplies, and payment to workers on such a lengthy build time?"

The woman spluttered, her eyebrows knitting together. "Y-yes!" she cried indignantly, then moved to knock me away from her but I avoided it.

"Then please tell these lovely people about the topics aforementioned. The useless prattle of explaining the view and the amenities are for later discussions. As of now, the core structure is extremely important so that it does not fail if the business or businesses inside are successful. Imagine, an entire building collapsing near the heart of the city. Oh, we have that all the time, don't we? Hundreds of people get killed. And do you know who gets sued? The company that hired the contractors." I reminded, shutting the file.

The woman clenched her jaw. "What do you know! You're just a little kid!" she shouted, moving to slap me.

I saw Angel in the corner of my eye as her hand came down. He caught her wrist in an iron grip, which made the woman yelp. Fear filled her eyes when pure fury emanated off Angel in waves. His rippling muscles tensed as he squeezed her wrist hard enough to hear a crack. The woman shrieked in pain.

"I'll sue you for assault!" she shouted, as Angel dropped her to the floor.

"Assault?" sneered Angel. "Then what you were planning to do to my Anwyll was not assault?"

Her face paled.

"You know we have a board of witnesses, do you not? You not only attacked my family, but you insulted him when he tried to help, and you have humiliated yourself and your CEO."

The woman's expression turned blank, her face ghostly white.

"Personally, I think this meeting is adjourned until otherwise notified." calmly stated Angel, as he lifted me into his arms again.

As he moved to leave, I handed the secretary the file he had given me and smiled at him, then tucked my head back into Angel's neck.
