Daire's Pov

"The dance is in a few days," I mumble to Carter as he paints on his canvas. He hums at this and continues to paint. "Carter I don't have a suit or any idea of what her dress looks like," I say pacing back and forth.

When Willow and I went dress shopping a few days ago Willow had refuse to let me see her dress. The only idea I had of the dress's appearance was its color. Jeremiah describes the color to being a light purple color. Willow said she wanted me to see the dress for the first time when she was actually in it.

"So what your telling me is, you need a purple suit before this Friday?" Carter said setting his paints down. I nod my head and run my hand through my hair. "That's exactly what I'm saying." I sigh heavily. Carter nods as he puts away his artwork. "Okay, I can help you," He said. I grin at Carter and follow him inside the house.

As we put away his art supply Willow walks in carrying that dumb cat in her arms. "Darry I need your help with my homework," She said biting her lip. I put away the paintbrushes and smile at Willow. "Okay."

I walk over to her and kiss her temple."Yeah sure," I take her hand and walk us inside her room.

She lets go of my hand and walks over to her yellow bookbag. "I need help with this assignment here," She said opening her textbook as she did a few pieces of paper falls out. She hands me the book and bends down to pick up the papers. "These are my notes that I don't understand at all," She said biting hard on her lip.

I sigh and open her workbook. Most of the work in there was right but then the other half was just a jumble of math problems. I knew Willow probably had dyslexia or just had trouble when it came to math. She did have some brain trauma when she was younger so that could also be another reason.

"Baby, you were doing great I don't know why you're so frustrated," I said re-writing one of her math problems.

"You don't have to lie, Darry," She said pulling on her sweater. I shake my head and smile at her. "No, you actually got half of the problems right, look," I turn the book over and show her. She looks at the workbook and frowns. "Um, I guess I did good," She stood up straight and shrug her shoulders. I smile at her.

"Let's get some ice cream," I said putting the book to the side.

Her sad face instantly becomes happy. "Okay," She said walking out the room. I chuckle and follow behind her.

We walk to the kitchen and find an uncomfortable sight.

Levi and his girlfriend were making out on the table we eat on. Levi stood in between the girl's legs eating out her face. It looked as if they had no clue of what they were doing. And the girl looked horribly uncomfortable.

Willow squeals and cover her eyes. She steps behind me to hide.

The girl pushes Levi back and jumps off the table. She fixes her outfit and hair making sure everything was in place. She then looks up at us and glares like we were in the wrong. What did she expect was gonna happened. Five different people live here, someone was bound to find her making out on the table.

"What are you guys doing," I asked looking between the two.

Levi's face turns red in embarrassment. "I-uh-uh, I-," he stutters out. I roll my eyes at his dumb response. "Do you got to be better you and what her names?" I said pointing to the blonde. She sighs. "Justina." "Yeah, you and Justin got to do better," I said with a smirk.

Justina gasps and pushes Levi's shoulder. "You're gonna let him talk to me like that?" She said with wide blue eyes. Levi looks at Justina and lowers his head and looks back at me. "Please Daire her, name is Justina." He mumbles avoiding eye contact with me. I frown at his weird behavior. He never acted like a sad puppy before not even when his dad was lecturing him. Clearly, Justina was a controlling bitch, but the pussy was blinded by dumb love.

"Well we were supposed to get ice cream, but I think you ruined it for the both of us," I said talking Willow's hand and leading her out of the house. But before grabbing Carter's keys.

"Hey, babe, let's go to that park," I said opening the door for her. She smiles at me before climbing inside. I shut her door before walking to mine. I get in and start up the car. "Maybe we can stop by and get some ice cream too," I said pulling away from the driveway. "Oh yeah, and we can get strawberry swirl," She said with a huge smile on her face. I grin and nod my head.

We don't drive for long until we stop at the park that Willow loves so much.

I look over at Willow's beautiful smile. She was absolutely breathtaking. Her face was lit up in pure joy. Who knew a children's park could make a teenage girl smile like that.

I open the door and get out. I then walk over to Willow's side and help her out. When she stands in front of me I can't help but let my eyes wander. "You look beautiful today, Bud," I said tucking some hair behind her ear.

She blushes and looks down at her shoes. "I didn't even try today," She said tugging on her sweater. I grin at her and kiss his temple. "You look amazing, baby." She shakes her head. "I don't think so."

She tugs on my shirt and kisses my lips. "You look even better."

The tip of my ears turned red at her compliment. I was very insecure about my looks and hearing her say I look good makes me proud and confident. No one everyone made me feel confident ever. My mom said I was just some ugly duckling that no one would love and I truly believed her for a long time.

"Come let's see if Alyssa is here," She said grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the blue slide. She looks around trying to search for the familiar faces in the sea of kids. She huffs when she doesn't see the children.

"Come on baby," I said grabbing her forearm and pulling her towards the swings. "We'll stay until they come if you want," I said sitting her down in the swing. She sighs and looks down. "What if they never come?" She asked slowly swinging on the swing.

I sigh heavily.

We sit on the swings enjoying the breeze and each other's company. We talk about whatever came to our minds. She kept giggling at my sarcastic comments. And I couldn't help but smile at her adorableness. We stayed there for what felt like an hour which I can confirm was how long we were actually there.

After another hour went by we were about to head home, when a girl with wild red hair came up to us.

"Willow," She said with a huge smile on her face. "Alyssa, hi," Willow said letting go of my hand and hugging the young girl. "We waited for you for so long," She said taking the girl's hand and walking away.

I sigh and walk over to the bench and sit down.

For like an hour and a half watching Willow play with her young friends. I was happy to see her happy, but it was literally boring. And what aggravated me, even more, is that whenever a kid came over to me and tried to speak, their parents will instantly take them away. Maybe because I'm an adult man me sitting alone in the park or maybe I just looked non-friendly. Both were true. But still, it was annoying.

Willow and her little redhead friend came running over to me with a little blonde boy who had a book bag that had a leash attached to it trailing behind. They all had huge smiles on their faces as they stop in front of me.

"Daire," Willow said.

I raise my eyebrow in response.

"Are you ready to go?" She asked looking at me with those beautiful brown eyes of hers. I look at the young kids that were smiling at me. "If you want to stay, we can," I said looking back at her. She shakes her head making her black hair hit her face. "Alyssa is heading once her dad finishes that phone call," She said pointing to a man that stood near the oak tree by the parking lot. "We can go home now it's getting late."

I nod my head and stand up.

"Yeah let's go," I said as I took her hand.

"Bye guys," She said waving at the children. She turns to me and smile. "I had a very good day," She said. I look down at her small frame. "That's good, Bud," I said wrapping my arm around her shoulder. She leans her head on my shoulder and sighs in content. "It might be to late to get some ice cream, but we can still get cinnanoman rolls."

We walk to the car and I open the door for Willow. She smiles at me as she gets in. I shut the door and walk to my side. Once I get in I turn to Willow and smile. "Okay, cimmanmon rolls right?" I asked her. She smiles and nods.

I grin and drive off to the direction to the diner.
