For the next few days, Daire spent his time at our house. He slept in my bed along with me and took me to the town's park whenever he could. He got around with my daddy and even called him by his first name. He and Carter were like best friends that have known each other for years. But Levi and Daire argued like they were brothers who hated each other's guts. But other than that having Daire living with us has been amazing.
I woke Friday morning with a smile on my face. I stretch my arms above my head and look at the other side of my bed. Like every morning it was empty. I get out of bed and accidentally step on Cotton who scratches my feet.
I giggle and reach down to pet him but he meows and runs away.
I say good morning and feed my fishes and tap on their tank. I then walk over to the chair where my five dolls were resting and kiss each of them on their heads. I then walked outside my room and towards the kitchen where I knew my family would be.
"Good morning everyone," I said with a bright smile on my face.
"Morning, Willy," Daddy said as he wrote something down on some papers. He bites his nails as he reads the long paragraphs. "Hey, Will," Levi said as he took a bite of his bagel. "Why aren't you dressed yet?" He asked frowning at me.
I look down at my outfit and shrug. "I didn't realize the time," I said biting my look and looking at Daire who hasn't addressed me yet. He was busy on his phone playing that new candy crush game I told him to download now he is obsessed.
"Good morning Darry," I said hugging from behind.
He turns his head and grins at me. "Hey bud, you sleep like a monster last night," He said pinching my thigh. I blush and hug him closer. I let go and sit I'm cushion seat.

"Daddy," I said my face turning even more red as I look around the room. "Yes, baby?" He asked looking at me with his bright blue eyes. "I-uh-uh need to ask you for something," I say biting hard on my lip. "Spit it out, Willy," He said frowning at me. "Yeah, okay. I need more tampons and pads. I started period last night." I said covering my red face behind my hands.
"Oh, yeah sure baby," He said taking out his phone. "I'll stop by the pharmacy, now go get dressed and you too Daire." He said looking between me and Daire.
Daire rolls his eyes and grabs my wrist and pulls me up.
We walk to my closet where Daire has stored his clothes. He digs around and pulls out his outfit. I smirk and hug him from behind. "You should wear what you're wearing now." I giggle.
"And get expelled? I think not," He chuckles. He picks up clothes and kisses me on the forehead before leaving the room. I sigh and spin in joy.
I walk inside my closet and take out clothes. I quickly get dressed before Daire can come back in and see me naked.
I brush the tangles out of my hair that has formed from the messy bun I wore last night. I bite my lip as I lightly apply some lipstick to my lips. I walk over to my dolls and help them get dressed. I happily braid Gretchen's hair when Daire walks inside.
He dries his hair off and grins at me.
He was in noting but in a towel wrapped around his waist. "I left my underwear here," He said as he takes some underwear out of his bag. My face was red with embarrassment as I watch him. He notices this and smirks at me. "You're drooling babe," He said and walks out of the room.

I blush and bite my lip and continue to braid Gretchen's hair. When I finish I place Gretchen beside the rest of the girls.
I then walk to my fish tank and looks inside. I really needed daddy to clean their tank so my fish don't die. I tap the tank and my fish Gem comes over. I smile at her and wave. She swims away and hides behind one of the plants.
"Okay, bud let's go before we are late," Daire said grabbing our backpacks from the corner of my room.
I look over at him and look him over. I couldn't help but stare at his appearance. He was just so hot for no reason.
"Were matching," I said as I grab ahold of his arm.
He grins and looks me over. "You look cute, Bud," He said as he pushes a strand of hair behind my ear. I bite my lip as my cheeks flush red. "Thank you."
He smiles and walks us downstairs.
"Sorry Willow, but there's no time for breakfast," Daddy said grabbing his work bag. He packs the papers he was writing in earlier and stuffs them inside the bag. He was the manager of a mechanic shop so he was a hardworking man even if he dressed like a poor farmer.
He grabs his coat and puts it on.
"Baby, It's November wear more thicker clothes okay?" He said looking me over. "Your gonna catch a cold, Willy."
I pull on my skirt and look down at my shoes. "Yeah I realize my clothes are very thin for the winter weather," I said biting my lip and pulling the tiny sweater over my chest.
"Come on," He said opening the door. Both me and Daire walk outside following daddy behind. Levi soon follows suit. He quickly jogs over to the car and hops in. Daddy held the door open for me and I climb in. He shuts the door just as Daire gets inside as well. Daddy gets in the car and starts it up. "Carter will have to pick you up, Will, I have a meeting with a dealer this afternoon," He said driving away from the trailer home.
"Okay," I say as I look through my lunchbox.
"Yes," I whisper as I see some goldfish crackers in a ziplock bag. I had been begging Carter and daddy to buy me some for so long. I guess they finally gave in to my pleading and got me the snack.
After 16 minutes we finally pulled up to school. "Take care of your sister, you know the drill." Daddy said looking back at Levi. Levi rolls his eyes. "She has Daire now, she has no need to worry." He said. Daddy glares at him. "Still, Levi she's your sister."
Levi sighs and opens the door. "And by the way, I have practice for the competition this Saturday so I won't be home until six." He shuts the door and walks away.
Daddy sighs. "Sometimes I wonder if I did a good job raising him," He said pinching the root of his nose. "I feel like he blames me for his mother-," He pauses and looks at me through the review mirror. "Nevermind, have a good day, baby," He grins at me.
"Bye, daddy," I kiss him on the cheek and wait for Daire to open the door for me. I step out and wave as daddy pulls away from the parking lot.
"Come on, bud," Daire said grabbing my hand. "Don't wanna be late do we."

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
