The Deal

Picking up the cup of coffee she carried it out onto the balcony, still in her towel. She stood there looking out at the view, drinking her coffee. Going back inside she ate the food and drank the orange juice. Feeling a little more human she gets dressed after putting all her clothes away. Taking the tray she heads downstairs, looking for the kitchen.

Finding the kitchen she washed up her plates and set them in the rack to dry. She then decided to check out the place since she would be living here for a few months. It wasn't a Mansion but still a very large home, and he certainly had good taste. Going outside she saw the inground pool and going over sticks her toe in. It was heated and with it being a nice day she figured she would change into her bathing suit and go for a swim.

Swimsuit on she takes her tablet with her and after a swim, she would do some work. Since Austin was going to be busy in his office all weekend she would keep busy with her own work, he wasn't the only one who was busy. For over an hour she enjoyed swimming, it was nice having the pool to herself. When she had enough she gets out and dries off. Stretching out on the lounge chair she opens her tablet and starts working.

She wasn't sure how long she was buried in her work, maybe a couple of hours or so when she saw a shadow looming over her. Shielding her eyes from the sun with her hand she looks up to see Austin in swim trunks. "I thought you were going to be working in your office all weekend?"

"Just taking a break," he answered, his eyes taking all of her in. Without saying anything else he dives into the pool.

Lowering her head she pretended to be working when actually she was watching him. He looked so hot with his muscles rippling with every stroke he made while swimming. When he came out from the pool she licked her bottom lip as she watched the water trickling down from his hair onto his chest. There was also a pool of wetness between her legs, he was getting her hot, her core throbbing. Getting up she grabbed his towel and handed it to him, letting him get a good look at her and hoping he would make a move on her.

"Thanks," he said, taking it from her. "It'll be dinner soon, what are you planning on making?"

"You expect me to cook?"

"You are the wife, right?"

"What a sexist thing to say, just because I'm your wife doesn't mean it's my job to cook and clean for you. Maybe you should make dinner for me, that is if you can cook. Don't you have a cook or a housekeeper?"

"I have a woman that comes in Monday through Friday to clean, she cooks dinner and if I'm not home she leaves it in the oven for me to heat up. Weekends are up to me to cook and clean. I want to make one thing clear to you. She is not here to cater to you so I expect you to treat her with respect. Don't make any demands on her or cause her any extra work, pick up after yourself. Now be a good wife and make us something to eat," he said, giving her ass a light slap when he walked away.

"Hey," she yelled at him, rubbing where he had slapped her.

He went back inside to change, and to take a cold shower. It was all he could do to hide the bulge that was growing inside his trunks. Seeing her in that bathing suit got him hot, it suited her, showing off her curves, her skin looking so soft. Damn, he had to stop thinking about her body and how it felt.

It was a few hours later when he heard her knocking on his office door and she walked in. "Yes," he said, wondering what she wanted.

"You wanted dinner so I made it and it's ready," she said snarkily, and turning her back to him walked out.

He really wasn't expecting that she would cook, so he had planned on ordering some takeout. Getting up and going into the kitchen she was dishing out pork chops and potatoes so he sat down.

"Well eat," she snapped. "Don't expect me to cook all the time."

"You won't have to cook tomorrow night."

"Why not?"

"We're going to a dinner party at an ex-client of mine, Ryan Platt."

"Is it normal for a lawyer to have dinner with someone he defended in court?"

"Not normally, but it's his way of thanking me. He was an innocent man accused of assault and rape, he could have gone to prison for life, leaving a wife and two kids without a father. I told him we'd be there so if you could wear something appropriate I would appreciate it, seeing his kids will be there."

"Sure, whatever you want," she said, a wicked smile appeared on her face.

He watched her as he ate, and seeing that smile on her face he wondered what she was thinking about. She did agree too easily, which wasn't like her. "Thank you," he said, hoping she wasn't up to anything.

When she went to bed that night Austin was still working on the case he had for Monday. Still not feeling good from the night before she was tired and went right to sleep. Morning she made them breakfast without having to be asked. She left him alone to work before they went to Mr. Platt's home for dinner.

She looks in the mirror after getting ready for tonight and smiled. Let's see how he likes this look.

Austin waited downstairs for Blair, he wasn't worried about her taking too long, they still had plenty of time. He stood when he heard her coming, his eyes went wide, his mouth dropped open. "Are you fucking kidding me?" he asked.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing. She had her hair done up in a tight bun, her dress was one that a woman wore years ago, it was plain and the hem reached her ankles. On her feet, he could see socks and black flat shoes that looked liked boy's shoes.

"What?" she asked, shrugging her shoulders. "Isn't this how you want your wife to dress, all plain and dowdy?"

Tilting his head back he closed his eyes. Taking a deep breath he opened them and going over grabbed her arm, leading her upstairs. "I can't believe you, how dare you try to embarrass me like this."

"You wanted me to dress respectable, that's what I was doing."

"I never asked you to dress like an eighty-year-old woman," he answered, pushing her down onto the bed. He then goes to her closet and picks out a blue dress and some heels, tossing them on the bed beside her. "Put these on," he snapped at her.

"No," she said with a defiant look on her face and crossed her arms.

He runs his hand over his face before getting in her face. "Your boss, Mr. Ritter is going to want to meet me someday. How will it look if the first time he meets me I'm drunk and make a pass at his wife?"

Her eyes widen in fear. "You wouldn't."

"Do you really want to test me?"

"You bastard, you would, wouldn't you?"

"Yup," he said, smirking, knowing he had won.

"Oh, alright, give me twenty minutes."

"Good girl. I'll wait for you downstairs." He was pleased when she came downstairs wearing the dress he picked out. She had applied just a touch of makeup and he thought she looked beautiful. "That is so much better," he said as he held out her jacket for her to put on.

Mr. Platt's home: "Austin, I'm so glad you could make it," Ryan said, shaking his hand at the door and he turned towards Blair, taking her hand to shake. "This must be your lovely wife, Blair I believe."

"Nice to meet you," she said, shaking his hand.

"Come on in, the others are here." He steps aside for them to enter. He showed them into the family and offered them both a drink. "I was surprised to find out that you were married, Austin, you never said anything when you were working on my case."

"We just got married a few days ago."

After meeting everyone and having a couple of cocktails they sat down to dinner, there were three other couples besides them. Ryan kept asking her questions about her business, he was impressed with how well she was doing at such a young age.

Later when Ryan spotted Blair standing alone he took her over a glass of wine, handing it to her. "Your husband is an excellent lawyer. If it wasn't for him I'd be sitting in jail right now."

"Yes, he is. May I ask what your case was about?"

"He didn't tell you?"

"No," she replied.

"This young woman I was having an affair with was beaten and raped, she accused me. It wasn't me, the man that did it was wearing a ski mask, she never saw his face."

"So why would she say you did it?"

"I love my wife and felt bad about betraying her so I broke it off, she didn't take it well. She said she would find a way to make me pay so when she was raped she pointed the finger at me. The case went on for so long but Austin showed there was no proof I did it."

"So you were innocent?" she asked him, not sure if he was telling the truth.

"Yes. Why would I have to force myself on her when she was willing and was having an affair with me?"

"What about your wife, did she believe you were innocent?"

"My wife had doubts at first, but she soon realized I wouldn't do such a disgusting thing. She has forgiven me for the affair and we're working on our marriage. We have two kids together, twin girls, they are worth saving our marriage for."

Starting to feel uncomfortable with the way he was moving closer she looks over at Austin. "Will you excuse me, I think my husband wants to see me," she said and went to walk away but he stopped her by placing his hand on her arm.

"Your husband is a very lucky man to have such a young and beautiful wife."

"Thank you," she said, moving her arm from his hold walked over to Austin. Tapping him on the shoulder, getting him to turn around. "It's getting late, can we go home now?"

He looks at his watch. "Sure, are you alright?"

"Yes, I'm just tired and have a busy day tomorrow. I just got a text from Rachel saying that Mr. Ritter has come home early and has scheduled a board meeting. Apparently, he has some important news to tell us. I think he's going to announce selling the company. I thought I had another week or so to prepare."

"It's a good thing we got married when we did," he said, whispering in her ear so that no one else could hear him.

After saying their goodbyes to everyone they left, getting in his car they drove away. She was quiet on the way home, lost in her thoughts. Her dream of owning her own company was so close, she was sure her boss would sell it to her.

"What happens if he won't sell his company to you?" he asked as he drove.

"Then we can get the marriage annulled and you'll be free. I will start up my own company from scratch. I didn't want to have to do that, it will take so long," she said with a sigh.

"I hope you remember the clause in our contract that states if you don't get it you will have to pay me the two hundred thousand dollars you offered in the beginning. Since I won't be getting the shares I asked for."

"I remember," she said, turning to glare at him.
