My head was spinning. This can't be right. I needed to find out, but how?

I got home and I immediately went to bed. I couldn't face anyone. I decided the only way I could find out the truth was if I follow Alessandro around.

That wasn't going to be easy tho. He had eyes on me 24/7. Then it hit me. One time Matteo told me about a secret passage way. It was in the Alessandro's office. The following morning I went into the Alessandro's office and looked for the so called passage way.

I was rarely in here. Where the heck was it?? I looked around and then sat on his chair. I looked down and I saw a fancy rug. I moved the rug and looked for anything out of place. I saw that one of the tiles on the floor was off. I lifted it and I saw a handle. I turned the handle and a perfect chunk of floor lifted. It was rather small. It led straight down. There was some bars that helped you climbed down. I climbed down and I came across a straight tunnel. I went all the way to the end of the tunnel. I reached a door and opened it. I was inside a shed. I walked out of the shed and that led me to the vineyards.

So this was how I was going to get out and follow Alessandro. I walked back inside. I was back in Alessandro's office.

Tomorrow I would follow him. I called a taxi service to be ready and pick me up tomorrow at 7:30 am. That's what time Alessandro left for the office.

I pretended to be tired and slept in all day. That way I wouldn't have to talk to anyone. Alessandro wanted to take me to the doctor but I insisted it was just a migraine and I was going to sleep in.

I woke up the following morning and I felt Alessandro leave the room. I got up and I had my clothes ready. I changed really quick, but before I did I stuffed the bed with pillows to make it look like I was asleep.

I ran to his office and made it down to the tunnel and I reached the vineyard and sure enough the taxi was waiting for me at the end of the road. I gave him Alessandro's office address. He dropped me off and I sat in a coffee shop in front of his office building. I was sure nothing "strange" would go on in his office. I wanted him to leave his office to see where he goes to.

It's been hours and Alessandro has not left his office. I was going to give up when I saw him exit the building. Since his office was on a busy street there were taxis everywhere.

I got in a taxi and followed him. He stopped at what seemed to be an empty factory. I told the taxi to drop me off and I walked to look around.

I hid behind a building. I saw a few men walking around. When I saw the coast was clear, I walked to the back of the factory, to see if I could find an entrance. There was a door and surprisingly it was unlocked. I walked inside. The factory looked abandoned. What was Alessandro doing here? I walked around the factory I didn't find anything then I made it to some stairs. I slowly walked up the stairs. This place gave me the creeps. It wasn't completely dark but it was poorly lit in here. When I reached the second floor I heard someone yelling. The room I was in was big. Covered with old factory equipment. I reached a hallway. As I reached the end of the hallway I heard more screaming. I reached the end and I pocked my head out. I saw 5 men they all had their backs to me. Two of them were beating up two men on the floor. The men on the floor where covered in blood. "Please forgive us. We didn't know who she was. We were just told to grab the girl and push her around a bit. We didn't know she was with you." One of the men said and then passed out.

"Please spare is this misery. Just shoot us." The other one said. They were begging to be killed. Their voices seemed familiar.

Then it hit me. Those were my kidnappers. I never saw their face but I could never forget their voices.

I was too busy looking at the men to realize that one of the men standing there was Alessandro.

"No, not until you tell me who hired you!" Alessandro said and kicked one of the men. I covered my mouth and tried not to gasp.

"We can't and you know why. It's code" he said. What does that even mean.

"Fine" Alessandro said and pulled out a gun and shot one of the guys.

"No!" I yelled. Everyone turned around and realized what I did and I tried to run down the hallway.

"Who's There?" Alessandro yelled as I tried to get away. Unfortunately one of Alessandro's men caught me and put me over his shoulder. I tried to fight him off. He took me to Alessandro.

Alessandro didn't know it was me at first but once his guy put me down, he looked at me and said "Aubrey?" With his eyes wide.

I looked at the man on the floor that he just shot. I could feel all the blood draining from my face. I ran towards the man he just shot. One of his men was going to go after me but Alessandro said "don't touch her" and he stood in place. I tried to feel a pulse. The bullet went straight thru his skull. He was gone. I was still in shock. There was another guy next to him. He didn't get shot at but he looked unconscious. I stood up and slowly walked away and I felt my back hit a wall. I could feel Alessandro's gaze on me.

"You...you... shot him" I said. I felt tears run down my eyes. I didn't even realize I was crying.

"Aubrey" he said taking a step towards me.

"No" I yelled. I put my hand out "don't come near me" I said. I then realized I was shaking.

"Aubrey please let me explain." He said.

I looked at him dumbfounded "no Alessandro there's nothing to explain. I know everything" I said. I was in shock. I wasn't looking at him. I was looking at the two men on the floor.

The I heard more people come into the room. I looked up and Matteo walked in with two other men. He looked around the room and looked confused "Aubrey? What the hell is she doing here?" He asked turning to Alessandro.

"Shut it" Alessandro said. His eyes never left me. I felt like my world was falling apart. Alessandro slowly walked towards me. He had his hands up.

"Don't Alessandro. Don't you dare come near me" I said holding out both my hands.

"Aubrey please let me explain" he said.

"Explain. Explain. Really Explain? There's nothing to explain here. It was all obvious from the beginning. I don't know how I didn't see it. I'm so stupid. You all must of laughed in my face. I really was the only one here who didn't know what you were. Are" I said correcting myself. "How could I be so stupid?" I said still looking up. I did my best to hold my tears in but nothing wasn't working . All of a sudden I felt the room spinning. Oh no. I was having a panic attack. I need to get out of here. I looked at the hallway and tried to run towards it. Alessandro caught me and hugged me. My breathing had picked up, I was getting hysterical. "No let me go. Let me go" I tried fighting him off but it was useless. I felt like I couldn't breathe, the room was spinning and then everything went black.
