《Rebirth of Fa Wei Lan》Chapter 17: Learned Lesson

Min was leaning against the pole watching me clean the tea pot as we talked about the next competition. When a voice came out of no where, I almost dropped one of my mother's precious jade cups. Scowling, I looked up to see Bai Sun.
"Lan-Lan, when will I have the chance to taste your tea"
"Wei Lan doesn't think young Master Bai likes tea"
The last time Bai Sun was at Fa Port, I remembered he did not touch a single cup offered to him by the workers there.
"As long as Lan-Lan makes it, I will like it"
I sighed inside my head. This guy was too outrageous and thick skin.
"Bai Sun, you should really get that my mei-mei doesn't like you" Min said bluntly with his chuckles.
Bai Sun eyes went cold as he look at Min. I was surprised by the sudden fierce expression, while Min appeared unaffected. Instead, my older cousin looked amused to see Bai Sun cold eyes.
"Consider yourself lucky that you're Lan-Lan's ge." I could hear the icy tone from Bai Sun. "Next time, I won't be as polite"
Min didn't seem to be bothered and continue to smile.
"Sun-ge, where are you?"
Bai Xiao Xue voice was heard nearby. I instantly flinched at the thought of the girl with the annoying and unreasonable glares.
"Lan-Lan, we will speak again later" He smiled at me before leaving.
When he left, I let out a tired sigh.
"Mei-mei, how did you get Bai Sun attention in the first place?"
How should I know?
"That guy doesn't have a good reputation with women" Min said straightforwardly. "This young and he already hold hearts at every port"
I was not surprised.
"Tell me honestly mei-mei, does he hold a heart at Fa Port?"

I looked at Min with a dry expression making him laugh.
"Your expression says it all mei-mei" Min laughed more.
"Min-ge, it's not nice for you to laugh at other expenses"
"You're right. You're right" Min tried to control his chuckles.
Honestly speaking, if it was the old me, if I had known Bai Sun before Hou Rong, I would have fallen immediately. The past me had been that foolish. I had been so sheltered and hidden from society and the first handsome face I saw, I fell in love without thoughts. I was lonely. I was desperate. A single smile from a handsome face would have made me fall. The lesson was cruel and deadly. And because of the cruel lesson, I learned never to fall in love so blindly. The last time I rushed into love, I ended up with nothing and my life forfeited. I was not stupid to repeat the mistake this life.
"Mei-mei?"
I quickly hid my sorrow with a smile.
"Min-ge, let's not talk about Bai Sun... instead, Wei Lan is more interested in Min-ge preparation for your competition tomorrow"
I was glad that Min didn't push further. The last thing I want to think about is love between a man and woman. Right now, I want to enjoy the childhood I never had.

8 131The Dead Poets
The year is 1959, and for its very first time, Welton Academy Boarding School is now accepting female students. Violet Ross is not only one of those girls, but the only girl in the graduating class. She feels as though she must face her fears entirely alone, until she comes across a quirky group of boys. Also known as The Dead Poets. Violet soon finds herself becoming rather close with one in particular..."I'm not entirely sure I even knew what constituted 'love,' until I had met him. Now the mere thought of him made me ache to be with him, to look at him, to touch him. I couldn't quite put my feelings into words. Even as I try, few seem to suffice. An entire sea of ink could not adequately describe my feelings towards him. It was almost as if all the stars in the sky were condensed into a single, twinkling one. The only words I felt could convey some of what I felt for him, easily fell from my lips. ' I love you, too.'"
