Jessica started blinking awake before jolting up. She looked out her window where the sun was high in the sky as she throwed the blanket off of her and scrambled out of her room. The house being eerily quiet making her nerves jolt. She ran quickly down to her sister's room finding it empty. She sprinted down the stairs as her panic began to overtake her.

"Sophia!"

She went to the living room finding it unoccupied before rushing to the kitchen. Not surprising to find it empty as well. She goes for her phone before finding a sticky note stuck to it. Her body relaxing as she read it.

Jess,

I have princess with me. Don't worry and rest up. Will be home this evening. Love you!

She slouches against the counter before her eyes catch sight of the time. 3:24 PM. How the hell did I sleep so much? Was I really that tired? Deciding to trust her sister, she goes and grabs a glass of water before going back upstairs. Stripping she lowers herself in her bathtub allowing the stress of the last few weeks to evaporate in the room. The water working her muscles in a magical way. A smile gracing her lips incredibly thankful for the sister she was given.

After some time, she gets out feeling 10x better than yesterday and decides to go downstairs and prepare a dinner for everyone. She has become accustomed to Brad coming over after work to visit her and Destiny. He will make an incredible dad one day. She decides to text Taylor inviting her as well. She gets an immediate reply.

Chuckling she begins preparing spaghetti with some garlic bread for everyone. It doesn't take long for her to begin hearing car doors shutting and presumes everyone has arrived. She smiles as she walks to the front door. To her surprise, she finds a black car with a man opening the back door. Jessica yelps as she is lifted before laughing as Brad spins her momentarily before setting her back down. Kissing her cheek loudly he steps back as Taylor comes into her arms. Jessica holds her warmly before she also moves to the side. Jessica steps back gesturing for them to go in as her eyes look to the car.

Sophia steps out with the help of the man along with her baby. She grins walking on the grass not caring about being bare foot as she greets her sister and daughter. Sophia smiles bringing her finger to her lips letting her know to be quiet. Destiny is fast asleep in her aunt's arms. Hearing a car door shut, Jessica looks behind to find Mr. Sanford getting out as well. He comes around to Sophia before kissing her cheek affectionately.

"Mr. Sanford, would you like to join us for dinner?"

The man turns his head with a look of surprise. Jessica smiles gently thankful for the man. He has done a full 360 around her sister and her happiness meant the world to Jessica. He turns to his driver and Jessica turns to the man as well.

"You are welcome to stay as well"

"Thank you ma'am, that is very kind but my wife may kill me if I don't come home."

Laughing lowly she nods her head in understanding before looking back to Mr. Sanford expectantly.

"I don't want to imp-"

"It would my pleasure Mr. Sanford. You have helped me in more ways than one."

"Luca.. please" Sophia says lowly giving him a look. His face softens and he nods his head.

Jessica shakes her head still smiling as she reaches for the play pen in the driver's hands thanking him once more. She begins walking back in with Sophia and Luca in tow. She walks in to hearing her two best mates bickering in what sounds like the kitchen. Sophia continues walking taking the sleeping beauty upstairs. Turning around she finds Mr. Sanford standing there looking uncomfortable.

"Mr. Sanford-"

"Luca."

Smiling she tries again, "Luca, would you like a glass of wine?"

"Thank you Jessica"

She walks into the kitchen hearing footsteps following her. She walks in to find Brad with the bottle of wine while Taylor is jumping for it. She stomps her foot HARD on Brad's foot instantly making him lower his arm which Taylor is quick to snag it. He grumbles while she sticks her tongue out at him. He hobbles over to a chair and finds Jessica's eyes.

"Taylor hurt me Jess!"

"You deserved it" Taylor commented not lifting her gaze from the bottle as she poured.

Jessica rolled her eyes walking over to the freezer grabbing a bag of frozen peas before handing it to Brad. He gives her a thankful smile while getting situated in the chair. She walks over taking one of the glasses Taylor has prepared before walking it over to Luca.

"Thank you"

Hearing the soft pats of foot steps, Jessica catches her sister walking down with the baby monitor before instantly coiling her arm around Luca. His body relaxing as he reciprocates swinging his arm around her waist.

"You two definitely make me feel single.."

Sophia laughter shakes her body as she turns her head into Luca's chest. Taylor pulls out her phone typing away before bringing the phone over to Jessica. She erupts in laughter before glancing at Brad.

"It won't fit"

"What won't beauty?" Taylor takes her phone showing the screen to Brad. His eyes going wide before narrowing on Taylor. "You are NOT BUYING ME A MUZZLE!"

She shrugs before walking back over helping Jessica take the remaining dishes to the long table. Everyone begins taking seats. Brad sitting in her father's previous chair. She and Taylor to his left with Sophia and Luca across from them. Everyone begins passing around the dishes to make their own plates as small talks begin. Jessica felt so light for the first time in a long time as her gaze shifted around the table. This was her family now...

"Beauty, this is exquisite as usual."

"He's right sis... This is so good." Sophia nods in agreement. Jessica gives a slight head bow in acknowledgment to the accomplishment.

"Okay can we talk about what happened today?!"

Jessica turns to Taylor who looks like she is about to jump off her seat. Her eyes glancing at Luca for a moment. He attempts to conceal it but a faint smile is there as he shakes his head at her. Sophia leans against his side laughing at Taylor's excitement. The sight making Jessica melt.

"If you must Ms. Wood"

Jessica turns her attention to Taylor who sits up straight.

Flashback

Taylor gathers her notepad and a pen along with her cell before making her way out of her office. She straightens herself feeling slightly nervous. This was the first meeting she would be attending for monthly review as head of Finances. She got into the elevator going to the top since Mr. Sanford requested her to come up early. The doors opened and her eyes widen.

"Sophia why do you have Destiny?"

"Jess needed a break. She would have collapsed if I didn't help out."

"But what about-" Taylor trails off pointing to Mr. Sanford's door. As if on queue the door swings open.

"Ms. Wood, as you can see I will be needing Sophia to remain only upstairs today."

"Of course"

Hearing the baby cry, Taylor watches as Sophia instantly walks over to the play pen picking up the new born. Her whimpers quieting almost instantly as Sophia continues rubbing her back and swaying. Taylor can't help but melt at the sight. Sophia is incredible with the little girl.

"Sophia, I've asked Brad to come up to watch over Destiny while we're in the meeting."

"Thank you Lu- Mr. Sanford"

The stone cold boss chuckles walking over to her before kissing her forehead. "I think Ms. Wood knows tesoro."

"Agreed." Taylor speaks up making both turn to her. The redness on Sophia's cheeks making her grin.

The ding of the elevator makes everyone turn to find some of the executive heads stepping off. They look at the scene with wide eyes before making their feet go towards the meeting room. Taylor looks back to the couple where now Sophia looks panicked. Luca turns her and the baby into his chest shielding her as he hugs her. Taylor decides to take that as her queue to leave going towards the meeting room.

Walking in she finds all other 4 department heads in the room. The only face she really recognizes being Mark. She walks over taking a seat beside him as she hears the table talking about what they just saw.

"It would be wise to keep your opinions to yourself Ms. Dean." Mark says to the head of Marketing, Monica Dean.

"It's clear she is not really doing much work, especially if she brings her kid with her. This isn't a daycare."

Taylor goes to retort but Mr. Sanford walks into the room with Sophia in tow. Her head bent shielding her face. Luca walks over taking a seat and pulls back the chair to his right for Sophia. Her feet timidly taking her to sit down beside him as she has some papers with her. A moment passes before you can visibly see her take a deep breath and lift her head. Her face blank of emotions.

"Let's begin."

Sophia hands out the packets to each person. Luca opens the first page as everyone follows. He stops and points out certain things throughout the meeting to each department on areas for improvement. The whole time Sophia remained professional helping hand out drinks to everyone. She begins passing Monica's chair when the woman backs up her chair ramming it into Sophia's side. The room goes quiet as Sophia straightens herself out but everyone could feel the tension as their boss threw daggers at Monica.

"Ms. Dean, is there a problem?" His voice dripping with barely kept rage.

"Of course not Mr. Sanford. I apologize I didn't see her there."

Taylor couldn't help but scoff out loud making everyone turn to her. Not being able to control her tongue, "Yes it wasn't like she didn't walk around the last four chairs near you without any problems."

"Excuse me but why are you even here?"

"She is here because I asked her to be here Ms. Dean." Luca says standing up.

Taylor smirks lowering her head as Monica crosses her arms in her chair. Glancing to her side, she finds Mark also trying to contain his smile. Glancing back she finds Luca taking a paper he had set to his side.

"Recently it was brought to my attention that some of our funds have not being used accordingly."

He throws the paper unceremoniously towards Ms. Dean. She scrambles to grab it trying to read it. "What is this?"

"This would be a copy of the quarterly market budget and the funds that have been utilized."

"Okay?"

"This was your expense report correct?"

"Yes sir"

Luca gets quiet for a moment making everyone look between her and him. Taylor is lost but doesn't dare speak up. He reaches out grabbing another document passing it to her. Everyone can see how she visibly pales and her hand trembles slightly.

"This was the expense report I had someone else run showing exactly what was signed off on. Can you explain why there is $10,000 difference."

She attempts to clear her throat setting the papers down on the table. "The-There must be a mistake sir."

"No I do not believe there is Ms. Dean. I decided to have the person run the report for the previous year and there seemed to be these 'mistakes' every time."

"May I ask who ran these reports? I should be able to face my accuser."

Taylor looks to Mr. Sanford. His arm comes out gesturing to Sophia. Taylor smirks not surprised that Sophia found another weasel in the company. A snort is heard making her turn her attention to Monica. Her arms crossed she looks to Sophia.

"Her? That woman isn't even an employee. She is stand in and doesn't even have the decency to take her kid to a daycare instead feels it's appropriate to bring her brat-"

"THAT IS ENOUGH!" Luca's voice booming as he slams his hand down on the table. Everyone goes wide eyed. His body practically shaking with his anger. He takes the final page he had set to the side slamming down on the table in front of Monica before standing back at the head of the table.

"What is- YOU CAN'T FIRE ME!"

"Let me make this clear to everyone! I will not tolerate any dishonesty in my company. This company was built with the help of hard working individuals who put in the time and effort without being dishonest. Stealing from me or the company will result in automatic termination along with a lawsuit."

"But... I-I"

"Ms. Dean, you may leave the room or I will have you escorted out."

"She is a nobody! I have worked here for years under your father!"

Luca doesn't even hesitate to walk around the table to stand shoe to shoe with Monica. She stumbles back slightly at the deathly look he is giving her.

"She... is everything."

The doors open and Sam along with another guard come in walking over taking Monica by the arm. Her screams and wails are heard as she leaves kicking and screaming. The door closes and Luca is still standing rigid glaring at the door. Not a soul willing to say anything. He eventually walks back around standing at the head of the table.

"I will state this once and only once. Ms. Andrews has more worth in this company than almost anyone in this room. Speak ill of her and I will fire you without hesitation."

No one dares to say anything further as Luca gestures for everyone to get up to leave. Taylor takes a look to find Sophia with her head bent down remaining seated while she leaves. She steps out with Mark.

"That was intense." She whispers lowly.

"That was entertaining." Mark said grinning like a teen. She laughs as they all make their ways to the elevator.

Taylor turns to find Brad sitting in Sophia's chair with Destiny on his chest as he talks softly to her. She can't help but melt at the way he is with her. If it wasn't for his damn mouth...

Flashback Ended

Jessica can't help but look to her sister. "So Monica has been stealing from the company? For how long?!"

"According to my analysis, it actually goes back by about 5 years." Sophia says glancing to Luca. His face set in a stony expression. Sophia kisses his cheek making him relax in his chair.

"I can't believe I didn't catch that. I'm sorry Mr. Sanford."

He nods his head while taking a sip of the wine. "I didn't catch it either. It seems your sister's algorithms keep catching all the frauds in the company."

"That's my sister"

Jessica meets here sisters eyes winking at her while she just smiles in return. The sound of the monitor going off means her beautiful girl has awoken. She excuses herself making it upstairs to find Destiny moving her arms and legs around. She coos as she picks her up and the baby begins gurgling.

The sound of a loud thump catches her attention from downstairs. "JESSICA!"

She makes haste back to the kitchen. Her heart practically stopping in her chest at the sight.
