After getting back to my room, I felt drained but I also felt a sense of relief since my plans were all going accordingly.

'I'll finally be able to escape that monster.'

The crowned prince, Malik, was not a bad person but to me as someone who is trying to escape death, he was like a looming monster. He was a person who was described as a cautious person, he had suffered many hardships because of people aiming to take him down from the position of crowned prince or people aiming to take advantage of him because of that very position.

Besides being very cautious of everyone around him, he was very possessive of those he deemed his people and would not show mercy to those who hurt his people. With Thea being the most special of "his people." it meant that me becoming involved with either of them only meant death. The very being of Alina's character raised those two flags for him with the power she held amongst the nobles and with the situation with Thea.

As my thoughts became deeper, I began to slip into a deep sleep. I hadn't been able to sleep well because of the feeling of my looming demise weighed heavy on my heart.

Knock-Knock

Someone knocked on the door, awaking me from my sleep.

"Come in." I responded in a groggy voice.

The door began to open, and as soon as I saw the flaming red hair, I began to panic. My mind was running wild wonder what I had done for him come here. All I could think of was his mocking gaze when I first saw him.

"I,I'm sorry. I just woke up. Is there anything you need, brother?"

I immediately began to speak for fear of another situation when I first awoke here. I put on my my most warming smile to cover my uneasiness.

"It seems true." Seth mumbled under his breath.

"What?" I couldn't hear him clearly.

"I said father called us all for dinner since he has time tonight."

'I'm sure that not what you said though?'

He almost seemed conflicted when he answered me, so I decided to not pursue it further.

"Oh, okay. It will head there in a minute, I need to receive something from Dr. Richard."

I replied honestly without much thought, but once he called me out I soon regretted talking.

"Dr. Richard? Is something wrong?" He seemed concerned when asking, never having any siblings before made my heart waver.

'How could you not like your siblings? Well I guess you don't know what you have until you've lost it.'

Seeing him like that made me see him as a puppy. I knew his personality since he was a second male lead who pursued after the heroine only to have his heart broken.

He was a tsundere, he was a very innocent character who I always felt bad for and wanted to protect like a little brother. Although, in this body I am younger but mentally I am older. I struggled to keep my hand from petting his head before responding.

"You don't need to worry brother. My body is just weak, the doctor is giving me supplements to help my body."

I felt bad for deceiving him, but I wasn't lying about what I was saying. There is no treatment for my sickness, so all I could do was support my body as much as I could.

"Well, stay well. Just come to dinner before you food gets cold."

Although he was pretending to be annoyed, I could hear the slight softness in his voice. I couldn't help but smile warmly, and before I knew it my hand was patting him on the head. He tensed as my hand reached his head, and I then realized my mistake.

"I,I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I won't do so again."

I began to panic when I saw his complicated gaze on me, but to my surprise he just walked out without saying a word.

'I couldn't control myself and now I've messed things up. Urg!!! I couldn't help myself.'

I couldn't help but see him as a little brother and want to show him affection, but now I've gone and made him uncomfortable.

Now he will hate me forever!!!!
