Part 32

Blaize's Pov 

She tightened her hold on my hand while I brushed her hair with my fingers. 

Soon her breathing got even and I knew she was asleep.

You all must be wondering why am I behaving like this. It's because whatever happened, whatever she did, I couldn't control my heart when I saw the broken look on her face. 

I was really scared when she was missing from the conference, bad scenarios were coming into my mind. But I was glad when she bumped into me. I scolded her because I was scared for her not because of some business or family name. 

I noticed her puffy eyes and all throughout the car ride she was extremely silent like one touch and she will break down. 

I thought she needed some space so I left her alone. I don't know what happened or why she suddenly behaved like that. 

After 15 minutes fighting with my mind I went into her room by closet but she wasn't there, she was in the bathroom. So I waited for her, I just wanted to ask what happened. I remember she was about to tell me but I burst out my anger on her. 

I really need to work on my anger with her. 

After waiting for 30 minutes I got suspicious and knocked. She didn't reply, so knocked harder and again she didn't reply. 

I had no other option so I opened the door with my touch key and saw her in the shower glass. She was still in her gown and shower was running on her skin. 

But the look on her face made my heart break. She was looking at the wall blankly but the broken look told it all. 

I went to her and asked her but she didn't reply. I turned off the shower and pulled her out. She didn't answer any of my questions. 

I understand it now, she must be missing layla, her mother. I understand how precious layla is for her and I think that's the reason behind her change. 

I kissed her head and told her everything will be fine. But she just hugged me. My heart felt the painful knot at her broken self. 

After making her change I bought her to bed and prepared her for rest. 

Now I don't care that she betrayed me and all, now I know she has changed. It's all in the past now and we can't waste our marriage time playing anger and kind.

I also want to talk to layla, I want to ask her how she could let her daughter do that, after mom layla was my mother figure and seeing her in this condition broke my heart.

I wanted to be happy with Angel too and I don't want anyone except her now, so tomorrow I'll ask her about that bastard and make her confess. 

I will tell her to promise me her loyalty and then we can start the new chapter of our life. 

I know it in my heart that even if I deny but I still love her and will do anything for her. 

My heart beats faster when I confess it to myself that I love this girl in my arms. 

She stirred on my lap and I looked at her, her face expression changed like she was in great pain. 

A whimper escaped her lips and tears escaped her eyes. "Hey Shhh it's ok, calm down" I said holding her hand. 

I rested her head on a pillow and covered her in a blanket, maybe she was feeling cold. 

She cried silently and whispered "Pl-e-ease L-leave me"

Is she- is she having a nightmare? But she never had them when we were together. 

I held her face and kissed her head "Angel, it's ok I'm here and I'll never let anything happen to you. Calm down" I kept saying soothing words in her ears and kissed her head, she eventually calmed down and buried her head in my neck. 

I took a deep breath and held her close. I need to have a very serious talk with her. I need to know what happened while I wasn't there. 

I didn't notice when sleep occurred to me and I fell into deep slumber. 

Morning

Sunlight hit directly on my eyes, making me very uncomfortable in my sleep. I felt someone breathing on my neck and I opened my eyes. Then I remembered last night. 

I looked at Angel, she was still sleeping like sleeping beauty. She actually looked much more beautiful than any Disney Princess, for me she is My Queen. 

I kissed her head and her cheeks. I'm so happy today. Because finally I'm gonna start my life with her. I'm gonna ask her for every single thing and she has to answer me. 

I hid my smile when I felt her stir. She looked up at me and I gave her my expressionless look. 

"Get up, it's already late and we need to complete our project work today so we can start tomorrow." I said and stood up from bed. 

She looked at me for a whole minute and I walked out of her room. I know she must be surprised by my behaviour last night and in the morning too. 

As I walked out I bumped into someone. " Lacey? What are you doing here?" I asked her but she frowned looking at me. 

"Where were you? I searched for you everywhere but you weren't in your room or anywhere" I nodded my head at her. 

"Yeah I slept with Angel last night" I told her with a smile. She looked very shocked but composed herself soon. 

"Oh, actually there was a post for you in the morning and I thought I could give it to you" I frowned at her, why would anyone post me when they can mail me anytime. 

"It's ok, leave it to my study and I will check that later" I said and went to my room. 

Layla was my good friend, I met her when I first finalised a deal with her father. He is a very good and honest businessman. Lacey is of course like a modern girl but she has a good heart. 

She always understands me and never denied any help. I know she liked me but I cannot return her feelings and I already told her that. She said it's okay and she will always be with me whenever I need a friend.

But her behaviour changed a little bit since Angel came back in my life, but I cannot judge her like this plus I respect her father so I can't disrespect her too. 

I took shower and changed into my casual wear because I will be doing work in my library/Office. 

At breakfast I asked the maid to make veg soup for Angel. She was so cold last night and I fear she might get sick. 

Everyone gave me surprised looks and I ignored them. Angel soon joined us for breakfast. She looked really beautiful in her white blouse and pink Jeans and a messy Bun.

"Uhm, soup?" She asked, looking at the maid. I know she doesn't like soups. "You need it, you were so cold last night that you might get sick. just have it" I told her in my scolding voice and she looked at me again. 

"You were in her room last night?" Bryan asked with a smirk and I could see Angel getting red in her chair. 

"Shut up and have your breakfast" I hissed at him, my phone rang then and it was James Morris. 

I picked up his call and went to my office. I know he needs the code for the mail I sent him yesterday.

After hanging up I was about to walk out when I saw black envelope on my desk. I frowned and took it. 

There was no name on it except mine, then I remember Lacey told me about it. 

Before opening it, I wanted to know who sent it so I opened my secret CCTVs. 

I saw at the very main door a little boy gave it to my guards and then the guards saw Lacey doing her morning run and gave it to her. She frowned and shrugged before pocketing it. 

It's really strange how someone so secretly sends it. I opened the envelope and the world crumbled down my feet. 

My heart shattered again into million pieces and Anger took over me. 

Things will never change, they will only get worse.
