She had never seen him so furious, for a minute she was scared and regretted shouting at him.
Shivaditya gave an impatient sigh, grabbed her, and threw her over his shoulder. Chitra squirmed, she struggled to get out of his hold. She was beating her tiny fists on his back which didn't affect him.
"Just leave me. You can't force me to come with you."
"I am exactly going to do that...now be still else you will break your neck." He warned.
Chitra snapped in anger "I hate you".
" Well, at least you felt something even though its hate, and I will always carry you off if you try to do anything stupid."
He carried her kicking and screaming and forced her to sit on his horse. He gestured his guards to bring Chitra's horse, while he rode back with her.
On reaching their palace he jumped from his horse, forcing Chitra to follow him.
"Let me go," she screamed, struggling in his vice-like grip.
"Stop making a scene here, Chitra." He said who
He grabbed her by the arms and dragged her along as he entered his grey-stoned castle. Everyone along their path stopped to bow their heads only to stop paralyzed, gaping at them. The rage emanating off him warned everyone to stay back, else he would take it out on their hides at the whipping posts.
She screamed and railed against him. However, considering he was 6'4" and full of muscle, her struggles were no more than a nuisance, dissuading him from nothing.
He caught her by her waist and pulled her forcibly in their room. Bolting the door he glared at her angrily.
"Why did you do this? What were you thinking? just tell me what is your problem?"

"Why should I stay with you when you dont care for me." She shot back at him.
"I dont care for you? Do you have any idea how much I care for you ?" His patience was running out.
"NO YOU DONT !" she screamed, "all you have ever done is lie to me. You hid your identity, then hid the truth about your first marriage. Next what? Are you already planning a second wedding? " She sneered.
He narrowed his eyes, "what nonsense! What are you talking about".
" Your mother, she explained to my duties to me quite well, that I have to accept all your infidelity, produce an heir, and just stay shut up!"
She said scathingly.
Despite the tense situation, Shiv chuckled.
"Forget what my mother said. She has her interpretations, I asked her not to interfere, but anyway. You don't have to follow her advice."
She raised an eyebrow, "oh really? You mean there is no pressure of getting an heir?"
He ran his hand through his hair," I guess its too early to talk about an heir when we haven't even....well I as said there is no such pressure, don't make my mother's words seriously."
"Then why did you hide things about your past?"
He sighed," there was no time, I couldn't say anything in the fort and then our wedding was so rushed, I never got the opportunity to talk to you anything. I had no intention of hiding anything."
She looked at him with distrust.
"You don't seem very keen to talk about it even now. In your own words, you don't want to talk about it." She mocked.
"You wanted me to talk about my dead ex-wife on our wedding night? Seriously?" His lips twitched.

"We had ample opportunity before and after that, your highness."
He closed his eyes for a moment.
" There is nothing much to know, she died within months. It was an accident. There you go, there is nothing much to say about it." He said impatiently and started pacing restlessly.
"Is that all? You are not hiding anything else?" She narrowed her eyes.
"What else could I be hiding?" He crossed his massive arms and looked at her questioningly.
"Well, for starter your father's grand plan of expansion, your sudden interest in me, my country. I mean why would you plan this entire scheme....."
"Wait," he held up his hand," I have no idea what yoi are talking about. Can you be more specific from you got these lofty ideas in that pretty head?"
" I met Devburman today, he told me everything," She said flatly.
His eyes were stormy.
She suddenly found herself pinned to the wall. Both of his hand on either side of her face.
"You met Dev?" He asked through written teeth.
For a minute she was scared, placing her hand on his chest she tried to push him away.
Paying no attention to the struggle he asked.
"Answer me!" He growled.
She swallowed a lump and slowly nodded.
"Why did you meet him? You are not supposed to talk to him ever! Do you understand?" He struggled to stay placid. Though his anger emanated from him.
She pushed at his massive chest again.
"Get away from me!" She pushed against him, which didnt affect him at all.
Catching her wrists he pinned them on either side of her face.
"You will never meet Dev again, this is my command." He hissed.
"Why not? Are you scared of me finding out the truth? I already know everything. You are a monster. I hate you" She screamed.
"What did he tell you? Answer me Chitra now !"
When she squirmed instead of answering, he tightened his grip on her wrist making her wince.
Her bangles broke where he was gripping her wrists, shards of glass pierced her delicate skin.
"Please stop! you are hurting me...." She cried in panic.
He recalled her words which she said 6 years ago...Mriganayani pleading "Please stop! you are hurting me".
He immediately left her and stepped back "No! Please dont run away. Dont fall off please."
Chitra looked at him curiously "Your highness what's wrong? "
He looked lost and distressed.
"I am sorry please forgive me. I will never hurt you."
She looked puzzled at his sudden change of stance and stepped cautiously towards him. He was shaking like a leaf. She held his shoulders and made him sit on the bed.
"What's wrong your highness? You can tell me."
He hugged her waist and said softly.
"Mrignayani died because of me. I killed her".
He hugged her tighter while she stared at his shaking figure, shocked.
