《Married But Single》Chapter 13

Annabelle got out of the cab that had brought her back home and told the driver to take her luggage off the car. He helped her carry the bags into the compound where the security immediately came to take them inside.
She stormed into the house, ready to wage war against the Jezebel that had come to take residence in her home.
I thought you were a strong woman who could stand up for herself and what's hers.
David's words had been playing in her head since after he left on the morning of that same day.
Those words had hit her as hard as he had obviously intended. She must have looked weak and feeble to him.
Well, she was going to prove to him today that she was anything but weak.
She met Abigail cleaning the dining room and strode over to her.
Abigail looked up at her and dropped the cloth she was holding, her eyes going wide.
"Madam!" She squealed in excitement. "You're back."
Annabelle smiled. "Yes. And I'm not going anywhere again."
Abigail smiled. "You're welcome back, madam."
"Thank you Abigail." She looked around. "Where's my husband?"
"He left the house a while ago," Abigail replied. "He should be at the office by now."
Annabelle nodded, then started when she realized she had a mission to accomplish at the moment.
Without another word to Abigail, she made for the stairs and took them two at a time, anger rearing out it's head and David's words urging her faster.
She pushed the door to the Master bedroom open and it banged against the wall.
Stepping into the room, her eyes took in the objects in it and frowned when she didn't see what she expected.
She walked over to the walk in closet but met two surprises.
One.
Chanel's luggage weren't there.
Two.
David's clothings were present there. Which meant that he had transferred his personal stuffs to this room and which also meant that he was going to be sleeping, resting and bathing here as well.
She rushed out of the room and went downstairs seeking Abigail and found her in the kitchen.
"Abigail, where's Chanel?" She asked.
Abigail turned to her with wide eyes and Annabelle did a mental note to ask her why she always widened her eyes like that.
"You don't know, madam?" Abigail asked and Annabelle shook her head. "Oh, well, sir came home this morning and threw her out."
It was Annabelle's turn now to widen her eyes in shock. "He threw her out, like literally threw her out?"
Abigail laughed. "He ordered her to pack her things and leave and never return to this house."

A wave of shock, relief and despair washed over Annabelle.
Shock and relief, that David had had the mind to throw his bitch out and Despair that she hadn't been the one to do the job.
She hadn't been able to convince David that she was not as weak as he had thought.
That she could stand up for what was hers.
She paused and began to wonder.
In this case what was she fighting for that was hers? David?
She sighed. Was David really hers? They were brought together by an arranged marriage but they were far from being a married couple.
She shook her head, whether they were living as a married couple or not, David was hers by marriage and with that, she had a right over him than that Chanel had.
He was married to her and not Chanel for heaven's sake!
Plus, they had consummated their marriage. They were fully and undoubtedly a married couple.
"What about his mother?" She asked, dreading Abigail's answer.
"She left last night." Abigail replied and she sighed in relief.
"Thank you Abigail," She smiled at the housekeeper. "I'll be upstairs."

Annabelle paced up and down the room lost in thoughts.
She was still wondering why David had done what he did.
If she had heard that from another person and not Abigail, she might not have believed that person.
That David had thrown, no other person but Chanel out of his house.
It was really hard to believe.
She heard the door open and she turned to see who it was. Taking a deep breath, she got herself ready to face her husband in the storm that she knew was coming in a few seconds.
David glared at her for a moment, then stepped into the room, slamming the door.
"What are you doing here?" He asked drily, walking over to the lounge and dropped his case on it, then began to take off his jacket without sparing her another glance.
"Is that your own special way of welcoming your wife?" She asked in amusement, with a low toned voice that sounded rather seductive to the man opposite her.
He turned to face her, the glare still on his handsome face and a smirk pasted on her beautiful face.
"I wasn't expecting you today." He said, crossing his arms. "I believed you were having a great time in your boyfriend's house."
She placed her hands on her hips, the smirk never leaving her face. "Is someone jealous?"
He scoffed. "Jealous? That's a big word."
He turned away.
"Admit it, David." She purred.

"I won't give you that satisfaction." he said firmly.
She smiled sweetly and walked slowly and purposefully towards him. "David..."
"Stop it Annabelle," he snapped like he was battling to control himself.
She grinned as he turned away from her and walked to the mirror to loosen his tie.
She went over to him and wrapped her hands around his waist from behind him and he froze.
This was an action she had never performed before and it was quite surprising.
She slid her hands upwards to his chest and ran them over him and he stiffened amidst loosening his tie.
Standing on tip toe, she brought her lips to his ear.
"I miss you."
Lowering her hand, she cupped his arousal and he hissed.
He turned around and stared at her, all sexy and sweet for the taking. Without another word, he took her lips with his and carried her to the bed.

David got off her immediately after he got his release and she looked at him in confusion as she calmed, after the earth shattering sex they had just had.
He didn't even waste time after he came, before he abrubtly lifted himself off of her and headed into the bathroom without a word.
She sat up on the bed as he came out of the bathroom and began to put on some casual outing clothes.
"Where are you going?" She asked, looking at him with confusion.
"Out." he replied coolly.
"What?" She straightened, the blanket falling off her naked form. "We just finished making love and you're telling me this?"
He looked at her with cool eyes.
"We just finished having sex." He said coolly. "You asked for it and I gave it to you."
She gaped at him. "What do you mean by that?"
He arched a brow. "Do you want a replay of the way you acted about an hour ago when I asked what you were doing here."
"Why would you ask me that, when you know as well as I do that this is my matrimonial home."
He scoffed. "The same matrimonial home you ran away from to your boyfriend's house."
"I didn't do anything with him!" She exclaimed.
"Tell that to whoever cares to listen." He snapped. "You used your body to distract me from getting the answers I wanted at that moment, without remembering that when sex ends, reasoning returns."
She bowed her head in shame as she saw the truth in his words.
She shouldn't have seduced him with the intent of making him forget what had happened. She should have just spoken to him and apologize where there was need to.
She covered her body with the blanket as embarrassment washed over her.
"I... I... "
He shook his head. "Save yourself the words. I don't even have time for them."
He turned and left the room and as expected, slamming the door in his wake.
She sniffed as tears of shame started to gather in her eyes.
David had always had a way at getting back at her.

The clock chimed one and Annabelle decided it was time for her to go have lunch.
She stacked the files she was working on, neatly into the drawer then stood up and adjusted her gown.
She stepped out of her office and bumped into Katherine who was obviously going out for lunch as well. After exchanging pleasantries, the two beautiful women headed out.
Annabelle jumped as a feminine hand grabbed hold of her arm and she turned to see the intruder.
Behold, it was none other than the enemy. And at the moment, the usually beautiful woman's face was twisted into an ugly scowl and Annabelle wondered why she ever thought Chanel was stunningly beautiful.
"What's the meaning of this?" She snapped and released her arm from the other woman's tight grip before Katherine got to them.
"What's the matter with you, madam?" Katherine chimed in as she stood beside her boss.
"Shut up bitch!" Chanel snapped as she glared at Katherine. "I'm not here for you."
She turned to Annabelle, her glare still in place.
"You," She began coldly, pointing a finger at her. "You are the cause of all these! What have you done to him? What did you give to him? What sorcery have you used on him, you witch!?"
Annabelle blinked, glanced at Katherine who glanced back at her and then returned her gaze back to the crazy woman in front of her.
"I do not know what you are talking about, Chanel." Annabelle snapped back. "My friend and I are going out so you would do well to get out of our way."
Chanel glared daggers at her, fighting to control herself from creating more scene than she already had.
"He's mine and will always be, no matter what you do. I will never let you take him away from me without a fight." She came closer to Annabelle. "And mind you, in every fight I always win."
With that she turned and stormed to her car parked at a fair distance from theirs.
Katherine let out an exaggerated sigh. "Wow, that was something."
"That woman is crazy, I tell you." Annabelle murmured in reply.
