《Moonlight ✔︎》Chapter 17

The drive there was short, as traffic had been clearer today.
Ian had beaten me to Miya's, his black car came insight as I parked on the curb outside of her house.
I grabbed the snacks I had bought on the way here and got out of the car, walking to her front door.
I knocked on the wooden surface and Ian came into view.
He opened the door for me and gave me a side hug.
Miya sat with her legs crossed underneath her on the kitchen counter, a bucket of ben and jerry's was in her hand as she fed herself the ice cream.
I ran up to her and wrapped my short arms around her slim waist.
She sighed and hugged me back.
"I'm sorry M." I cooed, rubbing her back.
"Don't be, I'll be fine." She assures.
I pull back from her and grin.
I hold up the alcohol and chocolate that I brought and she smiles at me with teary eyes.

Hours went by and we were successfully all a drunken mess as it hit midnight.
"He can have my kids." Ian exclaims loudly at the tv.
"Mhm." Miya agrees.
I start giggling like a madwoman.
Drunk me = Walking embarrassment.
"Damon or Stefan?" Ian points a lazy finger at me.
"Team Damon." I say proudly.
Miya gasps loudly and nearly tumbles over herself.
"Y-you said Team Stefan when we watched i-it together." Miya says hiccuping over her words.
I giggle and slump my body over the couch.
"Yah, then I changed my mind when Damon came onto the screen." I say.
"Guess your Team Stefan on your own M." Ian says shrugging.
An hour later, Miya and Ian were now passed out, their bodies sprawled out on the bed.

Ian having the football body that he has took over nearly the entire bed.
Which left Miya basically filling up the rest of the bed.
I took our second half-empty vodka bottle and took a swig.
I stumbled outside on the balcony and sat down on the cold concrete with the bottle in my hand.
I adverted my eyes towards the sky and looked up at the bright moon.
As I looked up at the globe my drunken mind solely remembered a certain boy, the one whom I had met under the moonlight.
I lazily took out my phone and unlocked the screen.
I went into my messaging app and began to type in his contact.
At this point, I had let my intoxicated heart and mind do its works.
Angel.
I bite my lip as I patiently wait for him to respond.
I looked back up at the sky and took another swig of the bottle.
I giggled to myself at the numb taste and sighed as I gazed at the stars above.
My phone dinged, and my heart began to race.
Daisy.
It was like I could hear his deep voice through the screen.
His voice was soothing and clear though it was also rough and deep, intentionally making any man or woman weak at the sound.
You're pretty.
Smooth.
All of a sudden my phone starts to ring.
Oh shít.
"Hi this is Daisy, please leave a message after the tone." I say into the phone.
Silence fills the line and I try to stifle my laughter.
"Daisy." Angel's deep voice comes through the phone.
"Yes?" I answer but then slap my forehead at what I had just done.
"Ow." I mumble as I rub my forehead.
"Drunk?" He questions emotionlessly on the phone.

"No why w-would you think that?" I slur.
"Where are you?" He asks the sound of jingling in the background, assuming it was his car keys.
"No need to worry, I'm safe and sound." I tell him as I lay down on the hard ground.
It goes silent for a while.
"Angel?" I call.
He hums in response.
"Can you stay on the phone until I fall asleep?" I ask him softly.
"Yes." He answers.
I sigh and look up at the sky.
"I'm looking at the moon right now." I whisper into the phone.
"So am I." He tells me.
I giggle softly.
"Ironic." I whisper.
I could practically see his stunning eyes roll through the screen.
I feel my eyes start to close and the sudden urge to sleep erupted within me.
"You know I'm lying on the concrete right now, though I think this is going to be the best sleep I've had in ages." I murmur through the phone.
"Moonlight, go to your bed." He urged.
"I'm at Miya's." I say quietly as I felt myself doze off.
"I'll see you soon." Is the last thing I heard before I fell into a slumber.
