"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

All four of you were silent, just staring at the words written on your arm. Those damn words. Why couldn't you get a red string? Why couldn't you get what Iida had and have a mark where you first touch the person, or even the other way around? Why did you have to be stuck with someone that was the epitome of all your insecurities in life?
You weren't sure if Uraraka was trying to cheer you up, or if she was just that optimistic, but she said with a tone full of energy, "You don't know the true meaning behind those words, (Y/N)-chan! They could mean that someone as beautiful or as wonderful as you would be too good for them!"
You looked at Uraraka with disbelief. "Ochaco, I highly disagree with that stateme—"
"No," she interrupted, looking at you with a gentle smile as she gripped your shoulders. "Listen to me, (Y/N)-chan. You are such a wonderful person. From the first twenty minutes or so that I've known you, I've seen how weird your personality is, and I love it. Iida loves it. Izuku loves it. We wouldn't be sitting here with you as your friends if we didn't. We need you to trust us when we say that those words on your arm are the best things that will ever happen to you. Okay?"
This girl was a fucking angel. You couldn't believe it. You doubted your household religion all your life, but now. . .

You smiled at her, not being able to contain it. "Thanks, Ochaco-chan. Do me a favour and marry me sometime in the future."
She giggled and jokingly replied, "I'll hold you to that."

What the fuck even was Modern Hero Art History? Actually, no, correction: What the fuck even was Miss Midnight? Why was she so deadset on pairing students up according to her own guesses on who would be soulmates? She had given everyone a sheet of questions for each pair to ask one another, in a way to "get to know the one you'll be spending the rest of your life with".
This wasn't fair. You didn't like this. You were a small introverted fart. You didn't like talking to randos (unless they seemed friendly enough). The guy you were paired with hadn't spoken a single word. But to be fair, neither had you.
But goddamn, was he a looker.
His face still managed to look beautiful with the scar covering most of one half of his face, and the duel-coloured hair of his didn't change that, either. In fact, those features were what made him even more enchanting. And his eyes. You could stare at his heterochromic eyes for years and never get sick of it.
Also because he was currently staring at you, and you were willing to take up the challenge.
A few seconds later, you decided to speak up, "Hey, how you doin—"
"I don't think someone like you could be my soulmate."
Ouch.
You were too hurt to realise that you arm had been glowing, until you noticed the dude's neck was glowing. You hadn't even noticed the words on it until now. Your eyes widened in realisation as you looked down at your arm. The light was blinding now, and it was catching the class' attention. It got to the point where everyone (including the teacher) had to shut their eyes and look away. You winced as the pain of the light stung even with your eyes shut.

Then the light subsided. You opened your eyes, blinking rapidly to help your eyes adjust. You looked at your arm, and the words were no longer black, but a shimmering gold.
What the flying fuck? Normal soulmates with this classification would have their words completely disappear. So what the heckity heck was this?
You looked up at the guy in front of you and saw the words on his neck were the same gold as the ones on your arm.
Remembering his words earlier, you awkwardly smiled at him before saying, "Sorry to disappoint. I'm your soulmate."
