It was dark. The light of the full moon was hidden by gray clouds that covered the sky. The atmosphere was freezing.

Luana stood in front of a place she had never seen before. A kind of entrance to a city. A completely deserted city. On the arch of the entrance was engraved a large message.

she whispered as she read it.

This name was completely unknown to her. She stood there for a moment before moving towards a small bridge that connected the two sides of the city that were separated by a river.

she wondered, completely lost.

Passing by one of the abandoned houses, she saw her reflection on the glass of the windows. She was dressed in her pale pink nightgown and small slippers.

she wondered, confused.

She continued to walk through the dark, damp alleys. Her feet were leading her as if they knew exactly which path they had to take.

she wondered, completely lost.

After twenty minutes of walking, she found herself in front of a very large house. The exterior was in a terrible state. The front yard had a huge garden which was unfortunately completely abandoned. The walls were completely cracked and the windows broken.

She advanced towards the garden while being careful not to hurt herself by the dry branches of the trees. Suddenly, she heard a noise coming from the bushes. She turned around slowly to see what it was, fear in her stomach. A small hare jumped up from the bush to take the way out.

The girl sighed in relief before turning around again to come face to face with a masked mercenary.

she exclaimed in shock, putting her hand in front of her mouth.

The mercenary slowly advanced towards her, making her tremble with fear. But what surprised her was the fact that he passed her to approach the bush where the hare was.

he muttered to himself.

Luana stood there in silence, completely confused. She looked around and saw that there were many mercenaries guarding the place. But, apparently, they didn't notice her presence at all, which was rather obvious.

Without thinking for another minute, she walked towards the large front door and opened it which made a huge sizzling noise, proof that this place was indeed in total abandonment.

The state of the interior was a thousand times worse than that of the exterior. Cobwebs had taken up home in every corner of the room. The floor barely held under the weight of a single person. The furnitures was covered in tons of dust.

the young princess thought.

There were no mercenaries inside. The young girl took the large stairs to go directly to the top floor. She found herself in front of a long corridor which led to a single room. She could see that it was lit by candles inside.

She walked through it slowly, the sound of her footsteps resonating slightly until she stood in front of the door which was slightly open. Taking a quick look inside, she could see the silhouette of a man who was sitting on some kind of a throne with two mercenaries at his sides.

Her presence was still invisible to them, so she decides to enter the room. She stood in front of their leader and watched him intently. He was very tall and very muscular, bald with a dark brown colored beard, black eyes that perfectly reflected evil and very pale, almost grayish skin.

Another mercenary entered the room before bowing to the leader.

he declared.

Clanti replied with his deep voice.

he shouted angrily.

the servant replied, shaking.

Velthur clenched his fists tightly in frustration.

he asked.

he exclaimed in rage.

the mercenary replied, shaking very hard.

he growled in displeasure.

Luana who saw the whole scene, remained frozen on the spot, completely stunned by what she had just heard.

he ordered.

Luana awoke abruptly from her slumber with ragged breathing, completely covered in cold sweats. Her heart was beating very hard in her chest.

she whispered to herself reassuringly.

After she calmed down a little bit, she got up to drink a glass of water before heading out to the balcony for a breath of fresh air. The winter's atmosphere helped her take her mind off things.

she told herself.

She ran her hand through her hair, sighing in frustration.

After that, she went back to her room and laid back on her bed before falling into a deep sleep again.
