"Capo!"

Matteo's voice caught my attention. I turned to see his face and I knew instantly that it was important. I had been sparring with the other capo regimes when he ran in, his face pale.

It has been a few days since Aria was introduced to the mafia and it's safe to say that everyone has fallen in love with her, myself included. She has been nagging me to start training but I have refused for the time being. She got shot a week ago, there is no way I am letting her do anything that may re-open her wound. Much to her reluctance, she has been prohibited from entering the gym. the last time she came in, she had been running on the treadmill for 30 minutes before I walked in.

Silly woman.

She was adamant that she would help my mafia in some way, stating that she is my 'sidekick' and that she has to do something. So I got Gio, Astrid and Veronica to teach her coding. According to him, she is a natural and could actually be a real asset to the technological side of my mafia in the near future.

I grabbed a towel and hung it around my shoulders, following Matteo to wherever he was leading me.

We entered my office, the guys, Damien, Silas and Astrid were following me as well. I sat down on my desk. the table that was in this room a few days has been removed. It's only brought in when there are large meetings.

I looked at Matteo. "Well? What is it?" I barked. I wasn't really in the mood for bullshit today, it was Saturday and I was planning on getting back to my room before Ria woke up, it was only 7am after all.

"Leo, don't get mad." Gio mumbled as he passed me his laptop.

It's safe to say, what was on the screen made me mad.

"They know where we are?!" I yelled, standing up out of my seat, making most of them flinch. "How the fuck do they know where we are?"

"One of our men found a tracker on one of the cars. We think that they must have put it on the car at the airport in Rome." Theo was the one to answer me.

"Fuck. Silas, Damien, I want Aria to have permanent bodyguards. I don't care what you have to do, she needs to be protected. Also, start training those newbies now, we need as much manpower as we can." They both nodded and left the room to carry out my orders.

"Astrid, go and help Gio with tracking down any of the Russians that are nearby, I know you have experience in that field."

"Sì Capo." The two walked out of my office after giving me a curt nod, Leaving just Enzo, Killian and Theo in the room.

I ran my fingers through my messy hair, sighing deeply.

"Leo? You okay?"

I looked up at the men that I called my brothers, my family, and for the first time, I know that they all saw my true emotions.

Fear.

Fear of losing the one thing I care about, the one thing that's important to me, the one person that I couldn't live without. Fuck, we've only known each other for a few months, but I already know that I couldn't live without her.

"I can't lose her."

"We won't. I only just got my baby sister back, we are going to keep her safe." Theo stated, his jaw clenched and face cold.

I was going to respond when a knock at the door interrupted me.

"Enter."

Two guards walked into my office but they weren't what made me stand up. It was the small person standing between them, wrapped in a duvet.

"Amore mio," I said, while walking around my desk. I nodded at the two guards that they could leave and they left swiftly, probably waiting outside in case I needed them again soon.

I opened my arms and she stumbled into my chest, wrapping her arms around my torso and resting her head on my chest.

"Where did you go?" she mumbled as her face was squished against my chest, a little yawn escaping her lips. I picked her up and moved to sit behind my desk, with Aria sitting on my lap.

"I'm sorry amore mio, I went to train and then something came up, I thought I would be back before you woke up. Why did you get out of bed baby? I told you that you should be resting today." I replied while stroking her soft hair.

"I was cold." She whispered, playing with her fingers and pulling the duvet tighter around herself.

A chorus of chuckles were heard from the guys and it was only then that Aria realised that there were other people in the room. Her face reddened in embarrassment.

"Oops. Was I interrupting something?" She asked, tilting her head in confusion.

God, she's adorable.

"No, Bambina, although, this does concern you." I answered. I really didn't want to tell her about the Russian threat but she deserved to know. It wasn't fair to hide all of this again, especially after what happened last time.

"How?"

"Muffin, we found something out today, we're going to tell you but you mustn't worry okay?" Theo answered her question.

She gave a slight nod and Enzo spoke.

"The Russians have found out where we are, bug, and they are sending even more threats to us, about you."

I felt Aria tense in my arms and it was silent for a few moments, I was obvious that she was lost in thought. After a few minutes, she looked up at me with tear-filled eyes. "Do you want me to go? I'm causing a lot of hassle."

"Of course not!" I yelled. "You are here, and you are not going anywhere Aria. We are all doing all that we can to keep you safe, you are not going anywhere."

"Are you sure."

"Ria, I only just found you again, there is no way in hell we are letting you go." Theo explained

"Yeah, we're not giving the Russians our Donna. No fucking way." Enzo said, his jaw clenched.

After a long time of us convincing Ria that she wasn't leaving, the others left my office and I finished some work, with my baby still on my lap. I looked down at the little angel and realised she was asleep, soft snores escaping her little mouth. As quietly as I could, I closed my laptop and stood up, Aria still in my arms. I walked out of my office, sending a curt nod to the two guards on my way out.

I made my way to the library. I knew how much she loves reading and I know she hasn't been able to visit this library yet. I've been insisting that she doesn't explore too much until she's fully healed. The guards that were stationed along this corridor opened the double doors of the library for me and I walked in, my angel still asleep in my arms.

I sat down on one of the sofas in the library and I felt Aria stir. She opened her eyes and stretched her arms like a kitten that had woken up from a nap.

"Ciao amore mio,"

"Hi" She whispered up at me with a small smile on her face.

Fuck, she's adorable.

I slowly pressed my lips to hers, she responded almost instantly.

"The things you do to me, bambina."

She laughed, bringing her hand up and brushing her thumb over my cheek. She was about to respond when she looked at something behind me.

"You have a piano?" She gasped, happiness and excitement evident in her voice.

"Yeah, I haven't really had time to play recently though." I shrugged.

"You play? I do too!" She grinned, making her way over to the piano, taking a seat on the velvet seat.

Her fingers brushed the ivory keys lovingly, playing a few random notes to get the feel of it. She looked towards me, silently asking for permission.

I nodded at her, urging her to play.

Carefully, she started to play some chords, then she added in the melody. Within the first few bars, I recognised it as Nuvole Bianche, composed by Ludovico Einaudi.

She played every note perfectly, not once stopping or hesitating. She had her eyes closed, a stray tear making its way down her right cheek. Once the song had finished, she turned towards me, a small smile on her face.

"That was my mother's favourite song." She explained. "My father would always play it for her on a Sunday evening. Eventually, I learnt it too when I was taught piano. Now, I know it from memory."

I walked towards her and swept her up in my arms, placing gentle kisses all over her forehead.

"It was wonderful amore mio, can I play you something?" I asked.

"Please." she replied, taking a seat next to me on the stool.

I thought for a few moments on which song to play. Eventually I decided to play a different song composed by Einaudi, called I Giorni. My mother had taught me this song when I was 17, insisting that my life couldn't just be composed of training to become the next Capo.

About a minute into the song, I felt Aria lean her head on my shoulder. I looked across and saw that her eyes were closed, a look of pure bliss adorned her face.

When I finished playing, Aria looked up at me, a look on her face that made my heart stop.

A look of adoration. A look of love.

"That was beautiful, Leo. Thank you for playing for me."

"It's truly an honour Amore mio." I replied, placing a quick kiss on her forehead.

"Leo?"

"Sì"

"Can we do this more often? I really like it in here, with you."

"Of course, this will be a regular thing now, and, Aria?"

She hummed in response, gazing up at me with her beautiful emerald eyes.

"I really like my life with you."
