I was peeling the boiled eggs when I heard footsteps descending down the stairs.

"Pihu, what are you doing here"

"I decided to cook for you today, the cook won't be coming for a few days" He nodded and I served him Avocado toast with boiled eggs and a glass of fruit juice. "Is it good?" I asked as he took his first bite.

"I didn't know you could cook so well" I pulled a chair and sat down watching him eat in silence. I'll get bored today, the maid isn't here either. "thanks for the food" I smiled and picked his plate placing it in the sink. I washed my hands and dried them with a towel.

I went to him and he gave me his tie, I made a neat one without messing anything. After fixing his collar and tie I smiled and he muttered a small thanks.

"Do it only if you want to, no one's forcing you okay?" He placed a hand on my cheek. I hummed in response. "I'll leave now, bye"

"bye" He left and I dropped myself on couch. Is this what married life is like? I smiled thinking about him.

He's so sweet, except for that evening.

A frown appeared on my face and I quickly cleared my thoughts.

And now I'm alone for the whole day, I don't know what to do.

I doorbell rang and I quickly got up from the couch and opened the door, and there he was standing with a shopping bag in his hands.

"Hi" He smiled and I knew he was tired.

"It's for you" He handed me the shopping bag and I closed the door. I peeked in the bag to see a few packets of Muddy bites. I took one out and it was cone waffle snacks.

I love them, last time I went for shopping I couldn't find them in store.

"Priya Loves these so I got them for you too, I thought you might like them"

"I love them, thank you so much" He smiled seeing me too excited over some snacks. My love for chocolates in beyond imagination.

He sat on the couch, I kept the snacks on table and gave him a glass of water. He gulped down the water and looked at me.

"Don't eat them today, I don't want you to skip dinner for them" A frown appeared on my face and I replied in a whiny tone.

"why?"

"no" He said while closing his eyes and removing is tie.

"I don't need your permission" I said glaring at him, he was so unbothered and it made me irritated "stop being bossy you don't need to look after me like I'm a toddler"

He opened his eyes and scoffed "you're worse than that" He got up before I could say anything he took the snacks and kept them in the highest shelf.

He thinks I can't reach it. I mentally smirked looking at him.

I'll wait till he falls asleep.
