《learning to love》8

I woke up by the sound of someone knocking at the door. I threw the sheets and got up I realized I was just in a sleeping bra and shorts, I quickly wore a T-shirt and went to open the door.

"I- you just woke up?" I nodded struggling to keep my eyes open. I heard him sigh.

"I'm leaving for work, I'll be back at 8" I looked at him when he paused "are you even listening?"

"yes" He handed out a card to me, I took it and looked at it. A credit card. "It's my credit card, get yourself some clothes or whatever you like"

"I don't need it I ha-"

"you're too sleepy to argue I don't want you to use anyone else's money, not even your parent's, you're my responsibility and it's my duty to take care of you so do as I say" I looked at him I barely processed half of it, you can't blame me.

"whatever" I closed the door shut and flopped on the bed again. The door opened with a loud thud and I flinched.

"Did I say I was done?" He said in a loud voice. I sat up on bed and kept looking at him. "you're no longer a kid stop being childish and start taking responsibilities" This time I was wide awake. I looked away and he slammed the door hard. I stuck my tounge towards the door and dropped myself on bed again.

I sighed and sat up. I opened the door and walked downstairs. He was sitting on a chair having his breakfast and a maid was standing next to him.

A maid?

There was no one yesterday.

I walked downstairs and the maid gretted me "Good morning mam" I did not like being called that but I did not say anything, she looked old I did not feel good with her calling me mam. I smiled at her and kept watching Samir from a distance.

After he was done with his food he got up and the maid went near him, she made him wear his tie and did it for him.

He doesn't know how to wear tie on his own?

I watched them carefully, Samir smiled at the woman and muttered something which I couldn't hear.

He walked out without looking at me once. The maid turned towards me. "Mam can I-"

"Please don't call me mam, my name is Pihu" I smiled and she replied with a sweeter smile.

"as you wish, should I prepare your breakfast?"

"not right now, but can you teach me how to make a tie" She was startled at first but then a smile of amusement was spread on her face.

"Sure, do you have a tie?"

"Nope, I can get one from Samir's room"

"okay" I hurried upstairs to his room. His room had a different scent, it smells like him. I opened the closet door and looked for a tie. It wasn't hard to find his room his so arranged.

I took a royal blue colored tie and went downstairs and stood in front of the old lady.

"here" I extended the tie while panting.

"are you okay Pihu" I took a deep breathe and nodded.

"Teach me, please" She wrapped it around my neck and started doing it, I kept observing the steps carefully. Once she was done she tightened the tie and smiled

"Done" she said " can I ask you something?"

"Mam you're free to ask anything" I smiled and pulled the tie out.

"why do you wanna learn this?" She had a glint of mischief in her eyes.

"I don't know, it just seemed interesting" I hesitated, I did not know why I want to learn this. weird.

I completed the tie and looked at her "is it good?"

She giggled "a little messy, Samir would like it to be neat"

"I'm not doing it for him" I said while looking at her, she smiled

"yes yes, I know"

I am not doing this for him, seriously.
