I couldn't understand a single word they were saying and even when I did, I had no idea what they were talking about. It was hard trying to piece everything together when there was a knife pressing up against my throat. Giovanni had his gun still pointed toward the old man, despite him saying he'd kill me if he didn't drop it.
He must work under Giovanni as a butler or something. His clothes gave off that impression and he did say that he served under his dad. So earlier when he asked me if Lorenzo mentioned Dino's name, he was talking about his father?
It seems like they don't like the fact that he killed him to get where he was. That must be why all this is happening, I wonder if it's connected to Lorenzo.
Agh, why do I care? I'm about to die.
My eyes widened as Giovanni looked at me and I felt shivers down my spine from the cold look in his eyes. He looked so angry and even scarier than the first time I'd seen him. The way he looked at me, I almost felt like he was telling me something.
He was going to shoot.
There wasn't a single doubt in my mind about it. I shut my eyes and braced myself and a scream escaped my lips as I heard the gun go off.
The bullet grazed right past my face and I felt a stinging sensation on the side of my cheek. The knife dropped and I heard the old man's body topple down to the floor and I backed up away from him quickly. There was a clean shot, right down the middle of his head, a perfect aim.
Giovanni rushed past me and up to the bed where a lady whom I had just noticed was lying down on. He held her hand in his and kissed it before bowing his head down. He stayed there crouched by her for a few minutes but there was no response from her.

That has to be his mother.
He whispered what seemed to be a prayer and let out a sigh. He cursed under his breath and stood up before emptying out his gun into the guy's body. My eyes widened as I watched him and I stumbled back as he raised his gun up to me. He pulled the trigger and shot behind me twice and I scurried back as I heard two bodies drop to the floor.
My heart has never beat so fast in my life. I didn't even realize someone was behind me, I thought he was shooting at me...
I felt tears coming to my eyes but I didn't move an inch. It felt like anything I do, would set him off again, the rage emitting from him alone froze me in my place.
"Jeyri..." He said in a low voice. He reloaded his gun before placing it down in my hands. "Kill anyone that opens this door that isn't me."
"W-where are you going? I don't know how to shoot a gun-"
He stood behind me and placed his hands over mine, fitting my hands around the gun and my finger on top of the trigger. We faced toward the door and he let out a sigh. I jumped as he pressed my finger down and a shot fired off then he let go.
"You get it right?" He asked and I nodded slowly. He should know I can't. He bent down over the two men he'd just killed and took the guns off of them before standing upright again. "Stay here, you got that?"
"Okay..." I said, my voice barely managing out. He shut the door behind him as he ran out, leaving me alone in the room with two dead bodies. I looked down at my hand, shaking as I held the gun and I jumped again, hearing loud shots being fired.

Why God? Why me?
I wonder if Melanie is safe. And Hayley... Knowing her she probably tried to visit me- If anything happens to her it'll be my fault. I'm responsible...
I don't know how long I was there for. Each second felt like an hour, time was dragging on so slowly, keeping me on edge. My heart nearly jumped out my chest when the door swung open. My eyes widened, I instinctively pulled the trigger and shot, I don't know how many times. The body fell forward and I covered my mouth with my hand as blood splattered over me. It was soaking up the carpet I stood on, and it felt warm under my feet.
Another person came and I shot at them just the same. If I didn't I was going to die. They were going to shoot at me. My hands were slowly losing grip around the gun from how much they were trembling. My eyes were completely blurry at this point.
I felt a pair of hands touch mine and I screamed but I was pulled into a hug. I dropped the gun from my hands as their arms wrapped around me and I let myself melt into it.
"It's okay now- I'm back..." He whispered.
I sobbed into his shirt and without realizing it, I was finding comfort in the man that I was so scared of. The man everyone feared... I felt relieved to see him- to hear his voice.
