Chapter 7:
"Regina!" I wobble into the apartment, taking off my heels. Note to self never try to walk fast in high heels.
"What?" She races out of her room, with a face mask on her face, running towards me.
"Guess what?" My demeanor changed, and I looked up from my eyelashes and it seemed to work as her face falls, well good I want her to believe I didn't get the job.
"You didn't get the job?" She sounded disappointed.
"Of course..." I let my head fall and I can see her about to secure her arms around me before I stop her last minute grabbing onto her arms. "I DID!"
"Oh my god!" She starts jumping up and down and of course I joined her, after all this is an exciting moment and no more broke Embre.
"Okay okay let's calm down." She says, fanning herself.
She really needs to get into shape and so do I, it amazes me that we aren't fat the way we eat. "Okay so tell me everything." She dragged me to the couch.
"I'm his personal assistant. And-"
"You're his PERSONAL ASSISTANT!"
I cover her mouth. "Yes." She is more excited than I am.
"And I have to be there in two days eight thirty sharp don't be late" I mimicked, trying to mock his voice.
"That's exciting news! You get 25 dollars in hour, you know how much money that is every two weeks?"
"I can finally help pay for everything around here, it's a good feeling."
"Alright well let's celebrate, what do you want to do?"
"Just order in and chill, my feet hurt too much to go out again."
"Embre it's not even night time."

So what was her point?
I can tell she is looking at my facial expression and She laughs before saying the words I wanted to hear most. "Of course."
"Oh and Regina?" I turned back with my finger raised in to her.
"Yeah?" she answer back.
"He was the same man from the club." I told her, pointing my finger at her before dropping it and I walked to my room to change leaving her star struck.
*Two days later*
BEEP!
BEEP!
BEEP!
"IF YOU DON'T CUT THAT OFF IM GOING TO KILL YOU." Regina shouts over the alarm.
What time is it?
I look- more like glare- at my alarm to see it read.
Seven o'clock.
Well at least I'm not going to be late.
Rolling out of bed and onto the floor. I get up and half limp half walk to the bathroom.
Getting myself together in the morning is a hard task, watching out for not brushing my teeth too hard, to making sure nothing gets in my eye, when washing my face and getting frustrated that I can't do my makeup right when I've been doing it the same. The list goes on.
"Done." Putting down my makeup brush, I give myself a final look over.
Clicking my phone to see what time it was it read that it was seven thirty one. Then I clicked for the next song to play.
"Let's see." Searching my closet I picked up the first thing that I saw. Putting on my dark blue blouse and a black pencil skirt, and my black heels.
"Regina!" I shout, walking out of my bedroom.
"Its already on the table."
"Thanks." I grabbed a granola bar and her car keys. "Next time we can trade back our cars." I gave her a hug "See ya later."

"You too."
The door didn't half way close before I hear her again. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do."
Oh Regina...
Traffic.. Stupid traffic.
I honk my horn. "Come ON!" It's like a honking contest to see who's horn sounds the loudest, California is a busy place for sure.
Giving up for awhile- because that's all I could do- I wait to get pass the freak accident that happened ahead.. if people could stop being so nosey we could get somewhere.
Soon it was my turn to pass the car that seemed to have caught on fire and without giving it a second glance I accelerated down the freeway.
It was 8:20 and I needed to be to work for 8:30 .. this day couldn't get any worse. I needed to make this quick.. if I still wanted my job that is.
~
Parking my car, I literally jump out and half run, half wobble up the stairs to the building.
I'm so dead.
"Excuse me, Excuse me." I politely say, pushing pass people that were trying to get to their job as well. Rushing to the elevators.
It took its precious time descending down and all I could was wait. The people in it, stepped out of it like their dna was matched with a turtle or snail.
Stepping out of the elevator I thought I was safe until I heard the words. "Miss Daniels, Mr Hale wanted me to tell you to meet him in his office when you arrived." Well there went my job and it's only been my first day.
"It's about be your last." My conscious decides to step in and give me negative feedback.
I roll my eyes preparing for what ever Mr. Hale had to say to me.
