《Alpha Daryl Reeds》Chapter 20

"What happened?" I asked over and over and over, but no doctor would stop rushing around me to answer, the packs hospital was busy. Pack members were everywhere, a lot when hurt blood dripping from legs and arms and head wounds.
Carson had left me after dropping me at the front desk of the hospital. They hadn't let me in the room where they had braked Daryl. He had wraps around his chest and one leg. I wasn't allowed in the room not until he woke so he could tell everyone I was actually his mate. Not just some bitch who was pretending, I growled at that but didn't stop the doctor from putting a guard outside his room.
Carson returned to me, telling me that a girl called Rosemary was looking for me. I followed him out of the door, I hadn't heard from Rosemary since Kevin no longer was allowed to be Beta and around me.
"I have some news." Rose told me as soon as I walked through the door of her and Kevin's house. It was on the end of the forest closest to the pack house. A house filled with unmated females and males wolves who live there until they get a mate and are allowed to build their own home.
"No," I grasped it was the first thought that popped in my head when someone said they had news.
"What? Oh! No." Rose giggles.
"So you are not pregnant?" I asked
That really got Rosemary laughing. "No my father would have Kevin's head if he got me pregnant before our wedding."
"Oh! Awe Rose I'm so happy for you." I tell her hugging her, she doesn't ask about how Daryl is but instead talks about us, as if he wasn't hurt like we were happy.

"We had our first date." I told her, I then went into detail about how we ended up kissing and everything my face trying red. I never talked to someone about boys not even when I had had sex for the first time and needed someone to talk too.
My phone rings and I picked it up. "Joyce?" Fred asked when I picked up.
"Oh hey Fred." I say mouthing 'brother' to Rose before turning away to talk to him.
"I need your help." Fred tells me.
"With what? You never ask me for anything." I say.
"Look I found my mate, but there is a problem." Fred mumbles into the phone.
"A problem?" I asked him.
I didn't get to find out because the phone went dead he had hung up on me. I sighed, Carson came into the room.
"Luna, Alpha Reeds is looking for you."
"He's awake?! Why didn't you come get me sooner!" I left the house and did not remember moving. I rushed to the hospital. I couldn't wait to see Daryl. I wanted to know what the hell happened.
The hospital was possibly worse, doctors running around, screaming orders calling for things people just keeps coming through the door. It was a madhouse, there was no one at the front desk and no one at Daryl's door, so I just walked right in and closed the door.
Daryl had his eyes closed and a pain looked on his face. He blinks his eyes open when he heard the door close. "Joyce, thank god you're okay."
"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked him.
"Hunters are running around, nearly killing me after I got the second bullet out of my chest." Daryl tells me pointing at the wraps around his naked chest.

I blushed at the dirty thoughts I was having. Even though we are taking this slow doesn't mean that I wasn't even part human who wanted sex, or love or just even someone to hold me and cuddle.
I cross the room and sit on the end of his bed, but he grabs my hand and pulls me down so I'm laying half in the bed on his chest. I could hear the beating of his racing heart. He sighs and I felt the air leave his lungs, or almost I guess from the way it sounded I think the bullet had hit a lung cause it sounded weird but I wasn't a doctor.
"Oh, I didn't know that." I tell him.
"That's because they were on the side of my pack." Daryl tells me.
"Just how big is your pack?" I asked sitting up to look at his face.
"Big enough for you to not notice that we were under attack."
"I was busy."
"How's your drawing coming along?" Daryl asked to change the subject.
"How's your pain level?" I asked back.
"That's not what I asked."
"Okay, but why didn't anyone at the front desk know I was your mate?"
"Why do you keep answering my questions with question?"
I don't get to answer this time a doctor walks into the room. I was still sitting on the end of Daryl's bed.
"Good afternoon Alpha Reeds. Glad to see you are awake," He says to Daryl turning to me he says; "your not allowed in here."
"She's allowed in here." Daryl growls.
That made the doctor jump and carry on with what he came in here for. "You are going to be fine, we removed the silver from your chest and leg. You'll be good as new in a couple of days, just try not to work too hard or move around a lot you might open your wound again. Silver isn't something to mess with."
"When can I take him home?" I blurred out.
"Well I would like to keep you here for a little longer but I'll let you go if you promise not to yourself more with those wounds."
"I'm your Alpha you can't talk to me that way" Daryl growls.
"Alpha Reed," the doctor said. "Please note I am your doctor and I'd like to not kill you by not keeping you here longer."
"I'll watch him." I butted in.
"Please do, and not sex until you are healed up, please." He says not looking up from his notes.
I blushed a deep red, we were not going to be doing that anytime soon. "Of course doctor." I tell him swallowing my embarrassment.

Leslie's Poems
This is a continuous collection of poems that I've written in chronological order, starting with the oldest and ending with the newest. This will be updated periodically and may have mass updates. More often than not, each poem either will be written in free verse or with zero adherence to traditional poem structure. Some poems may imply situations and actions that can be triggering or annoying, especially the earlier poems. I recommend skipping most of the ones from 2018-2019, or just not reading this at all if you feel it may hurt you. Please enjoy and read at your own discretion.
