《I Need You》Chapter Nine

I set Sirs plate down, serving him his brunch since he woke up later today. It wasn't a big deal for me since that meant I got to get a few more of my chores in. Today was the big day, well it would be in a few more hours, that everything would happen. Nothing could be suspicious, that's why I carried on normal.
I watched from the corner as Sir ate his food, just thinking that this could be the last time I'm in this position. Making his food, while I was wondering when my next meal would be while he just sat there and ate like a king. Taking orders from him all the time, doing things he wants. It could all go away after tonight. And the thought was thrilling.
Liam didn't come down. I didn't know where he was, but I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to be with his father. Over the past few days, I've heard Sir talk to Liam about marrying into another pack to make our pack even stronger.
In my opinion, it wasn't that strong in the first place.
They ambushed my first pack, where I'm originally from, and succeeded because it was very unexpected and it was small. We weren't big. There was only a select few of us. But I miss it more than words can describe.
Sir grunted and scooted back his chair making a screeching sound that hurt my ears. He left his plate on the table for me to pick up and walked out of the room. The whole time I never looked up to look at him, cause if I did then he could interpret it in the wrong way. Thinking I was trying to defy him in some way.
Washing dishes, the door opened again and some of the teenager/jock boys came in, pushing each other and joking around. Of course they would notice me.
"Looks like little miss maid decided to make an appearance," one of the said looking me up and down.
I didn't look at him and continued to wash the dishes.
They all started laughing and then one of them came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. He started touching my waist, slowly going up to the breast area. I started squirming trying to get out of his hold. I didn't want this. This wasn't supposed to happen.
"Looks like she's putting up a fight dude," another one said still laughing with the others.
"Yeah, she thinks she could hur- OW WHAT THE FU-,"
He couldn't finish either of those sentences cause I kicked him in his balls first from behind me and then turned to do it yes, another time.
It was amazing how sensitive it was for a guy down there, good or bad.
I tried to run out of the kitchen when I heard a groaned out 'get her' and another guys hand on my wrist.
He twisted it and pulled it which hurt a lot, don't get me wrong but I ended up punching him in the nose with the same hand and kept running.
Seeing the glorious sight of the attic door, I rushed in, locked the door, and leaned against it with heavy breaths. That was the fastest I've ran in so long that it took a major toll on me. I took slow steps to my makeshift bed, my vision fading in and out due to lack of water and food I'm guessing, and I fell down on my knees.
The last thing I remember was loud pounding on my door.

My alarm went off at one in the morning.
I must've slept for at least twelve hours and I'm also still very much alive. I haven't done any of my chores to hide the suspicion and Sir hasn't broke down my door to beat me.
My hand and wrist hurt a lot. Punching that guy right after he twisted my wrist took a lot out of me. But I couldn't let anything stop me from doing what I was supposed to do.
Gathering myself, I headed out the door to the prison ward. And along my way, I made sure to unlock the doors that would lead to our escape. I don't smell Sir in the house which means he's somewhere else, and it's very unsettling to me and makes me even more nervous.
Opening the prison ward door, I heard Adrian shuffling right away. When I reached him, he was already standing up waiting for me to come closer to him. He looked beautiful. As always.
"Hey sweetheart," he spoke. He didn't look the slightest bit nervous. Just very confident.
"Hi."
He reached out his hands to grab mine. "The doors are all unlocked?" He asked, raising a perfectly arched eyebrow. His eyebrows were better than mine that's for sure.
"Yes, I unlocked all the doors and Sirs not in the house. I'm not sure where he is-"
"I can handle him if I see him don't worry love." He smiled at me to reassure me. And it worked, the added "love" probably helped too.
I looked down at our intertwined hands, and thinking of how much it felt right. The sparks, how my hands fit into his, just everything. I didn't want to think that after we escaped, if we did, that this would be the last time I'd experience this feeling.
"I can tell you're scared. Everything will be okay." He intently looked me in the eyes. "Do you trust me?"
It's been at least a week since I've known him now, and that question has been on my mind the whole time. I've thought about it to many times but never came to a definite answer.
If I trusted him.
"Yes," the word came out of my mouth quickly before I even had time to register it through my mind. But my answer pleased him, it brought a smile to his face. His dimples peeled out of his cheeks.
Letting my hands go, he put his on the bars ,"You might want to back away from the bars."
Adrian was getting prepared I could tell. The minute he broke those bars, someone would hear. Someone would come down. I think he knew it too.
Backing away to the other side of the wall, I leaned against it and patiently watched. My nerves were on end, but everything seemed to be going so fast, it felt like a rush.
The bars started to make a squeaking sound. Adrian was bending them off of the hinges. It seemed effortless to him, which left me in shock. His strength once again left me breathless. Also the fact that I could see how muscular he was in that moment, his shirt was tighter. This was one way to get my mind off of everything.
The bars were almost now completely dismembered from the wall, except for the bottom and top that were connected by big steel nails and a steel closing.
"Damn it," Adrian remarked, frustration written on his face. He raised his foot and with all his might, kicked the door into the other side of wall. It caused me to jump backwards a little bit, but nevertheless it made a loud noise and i knew we had to act quick. Anyone could come down any minute, and realized that this strong man has broken out of, what seems like, the worst cell to ever put him in.

Now that he was free, he walked towards me. I was still looking at the cell door that was now resting on the floor, but him grabbing my hand caused me to leave the spell that all of a sudden came over me.
"No matter what, Im not letting this hand go."
At first I thought he was kidding but when I looked up to see his face the joking facade had left , and he became completely serious. Slowly letting me know that whatever that was about to come our way, wasn't about to easy. Our close proximity was calming me down, and helped me feel more at ease.
He interlaced our fingers and trudged along the dark stone hallway. I kept quiet like usual and followed his lead anticipating for someone to realize that he was free. The bars should've echoed, someone was bound to hear.
As if on cue, we could hear footsteps running on the other side of the door. Adrian gripped my hand tighter and stood right in his place causing me to run into his back. The door slammed open, a guard breathing heavily but kept his eyes trained on Adrian.
And then his eyes drifted towards me.
"I should've known you had something to do with this," he remarked. This guard would mess with me a lot in those ways I don't like to think about. He's also the stupid jock kid that tried grabbing me before and I punched him in the nose. It was still bruised from it. But the way Adrian looked, it seemed he would have more than just a bruised nose.
The boy charged at Adrian, ready to do what he was "trained" to do, which wasn't much compared to Adrian.
He swung at Adrian, making me flinch backwards. I couldn't go back far since my hand was still in his. But before it made it to his face, the boys hand was swallowed up by Adrian's, the force of his swing was nothing to him. He twisted the boys hand behind his back and kicked him against the stone wall. Hard. Nonetheless, he groaned in pain but wasn't knocked out. It wouldn't be to long until he got back up and followed us.
When we ran past him, he grabbed onto my ankle yanking me back roughly, which made Adrian pull onto my bad wrist to keep me from falling with the jock kid. I hissed in pain as both areas now were throbbing. Adrian came towards him and finished off by kicking him right in the face— finally knocking him out.
I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. Adrian let out of breath of frustration and tugged onto me to keep going. I was limping now, with the added injury that couldn't have had better timing, but i had to keep going. Adrian hasn't taken notice of my pain and part of me wanted him to not find out yet, so he wouldn't focus as much in me and focus more on us getting out of here.We we're both fast walking— it was getting harder for me to keep up.
Two other guards showed up when we reached the doorway. Noticing they were some of the other guys from that day, I was confident that Adrian could handle them. They didn't hesitate to run towards us. Adrian shoved me behind his back, pushed another one back with one leg and grabbed the other one by his neck and swung him into the other, causing them both to hit their heads. There was also cracking in the midst of all the commotion and it sounded like it would've came out of some horror movie.
My reality was a horror movie.
The door we just came out of swing open, revealing the first guard but he halted with a taunting smile on his face, but you could tell he was still petrified of Adrian. This time, it wasn't just his fists he brought, he had a gun. No, no.
He aimed it at us.
"I've been wanting to do this ever since you got here, alpha," he said snarky.
Alpha? He was.. he wasn't..
Cutting me out of my thoughts, Adrian growled and stood protectively in front of me. I his behind him, I was to scared of everything. This was all to much for me to handle. Why couldn't this be a easier? My life was a living nightmare.
"And you," he looked at me, " Didn't think i'd want my revenge for that little stunt you pulled earlier? I should've killed you right there." I became more frantic. His words were terrifying.
I cant die right now.
"You'll never never live to see another day again." Adrian took a few steps forward.
The boys finger just got tighter on the trigger. He was shaking.
He spoke what seemed confidently, " I'm afraid that I'm the one that should be saying that, not you."
I closed my eyes, not wanting to know what was about to happen next. I was gripping Adrian's hand so hard, and then I heard a gunshot go off. But he was still standing in front of me. He seemed fine.
I opened my eyes to Liam standing behind the boy, the gunshot have going to the ceiling, and the boy now passed stone cold on the floor, due to the syringe in Liam's hand.
Liam didn't look at me at first, but was looking at Adrian and Adrian was doing the same. Then Liam's eyes focused on me. His pink lips mouthed one thing that I understood when it seemed like time was slowing down.
Go.
Liam helped me. This time in the most ultimate way. My escape.
"Thank you," I whispered. I was allowed to thank him on this one.
Adrian squeezed my hand again.
"Come on," we started to run to the door down the hallway to our right,"We have to hurry. They'll end up being to much eventually and I probably wouldn't be able to take them all down at once," he still hasn't let go of my hand. The door we were heading towards was my freedom. I'd finally get to step out of this place after 10 years.
10 years..
We were almost out of the building when I heard over the little intercom in the prison ward, " We have gotten word that Adrian has escaped, block all exits, he on patrol on the borders, he's not getting away this easy." It was Sirs voice, "And you my little darling angel, Kayla.." I shuddered, he chuckled, " You're a daring one aren't you? I'll see you soon."
The door opened and I saw what I haven't seen in a while.
The stars. The grass. Seeing trees and other plants up close and not through a window. It made me feel mlike when I was younger again. But the feeling had to leave as quick as it came. Things were getting scarier. Adrian, still holding onto my hand, kept running. Me trailing behind. It felt like I was holding him back. It would be nice to have the strength that a normal werewolf would have right about now.
I tried my best to keep up anyways. This was my life on the line and our whole plan couldn't be stopped all because I felt tired or weak. What could go wrong would not be my fault. Nothing would be my fault. For once in my life.
It was a matter of time until we heard the paws of wolves coming after us. We made it to the forest now, dodging loose limbs and things in the grass. If I thought it was harder before, I really didn't know what was to lie ahead of me.
Pulling me closer to him, as much as he could while running, Adrian started pulling down his shorts the best to his ability. What's he doing?!
He was still holding my hand too.
"Jump when I say jump okay?" he said airely, still looking for straight ahead of him. Some of the wolves were running beside us now and I could see the wheels turning in his head.
"What?" The air was slowly leaving my body. I felt like I wasn't going to make it much longer.
"I know it's all you got left sweetheart okay? Trust me." He was still looking straight ahead, focusing on the path we were taking, making sure they weren't getting close to us.
"Oh-oh-kay," is all I could make out. It wouldn't get much better than that.
After a few seconds of still looking at our path, he finally said..
"JUMP!"
