《Stranded on the Old World》Prologue

Prologue:
In the 20th Millennium Humanity is scattered not only throughout the stars but also on Terra the cradle of humanity. Millennia have passed since the schism that fractured the once powerful race and ended their Golden Age, but humanity is starting its epic comeback; the Terran Unification Force is slowly but surely unifying the differing factions on what was once Earth, it was the time of heroes and legends but also of unimaginable brutality; weapons believed to be lost to time are found and then used against their fellow man, the price of unification is steep but the Council of Terra promise their foundling Empire that it will all be worth it when they re-join with their scattered brethren in the wider galaxy.
Magic and other Sorceries once believed to be the stuff of children’s tales were rediscovered during the Dark Age of Man and now every human is capable to some extent at the manipulation of the power of their very soul to perform miracles, cast magic and reinforce their body to a superhuman degree. While the state of the sciences has declined the rediscovery of magic has made up for it.
Through the unholy matrimony of Sorcery and Science the genetically engineered Arbiters have taken the forefront split into Crusades of a 100,000 super soldiers each, they are the invincible fighting force of the Unification Forces, Each Arbiter is worth a hundred men with their enhanced body alone and a hundred more with their devastating mastery of the magic arts.
Each Crusade force is joined by a legion made of between 500,000 and a million men and women who with their inferior human selves fight alongside the Arbiters making up the armoured divisions, artillery regiments, scouts, garrison forces, medical and non-combat roles.
Each legion is given a small detachment of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST) humanities finest non-augmented fighting force. Known for their brutal tactics they fight with inhuman zeal earning themselves the nicknames ‘Scions’ and ‘Suicide Corps’ and ‘Helljumpers’.

The ODST’s are one of the last remnants of Golden Age tech and tactics. They are launched from ships in high orbit onto the planet bellow in their semi-coffin shaped drop pods with barebones armour and life support, not even one-in-ten make it to the ground undamaged and further one-in-ten don’t survive the landing. It is a force for only the desperate, the insane and of talented War-Slaves.
The War for Unification is coming to an end one final push and then the Council of Terra can turn their attention outwards towards the unyielding blackness of space.
But that is an epic for another time, no this is a tale of an impossibly ancient man an Immortal who throughout the millennia of human history has fought and somehow not died in every major conflict and plenty of minor ones, now on the brink of Terra’s re-unification he is thrust out and deposited on another world at the other end of the galaxy…

Re:The Worst System Leveling Turned Me Into A Zombie
Before I reached Lvl. 100, they called me Death God Hei. But when I broke the limit, the System punished me. It cursed me to become this monster. I woke up as a Lvl. 0 again. Dying only brings me back to a save point now. But I don't go back until I die twice. First I suffer as a human, then I hunger as a zombie. The worst part is...I still have to watch when that thing takes over my corpse. I call it the Gray. I can't do anything even when it's hunting down those I'm trying to save. Sometimes, I wonder. When I level, I swear I can hear a voice speaking to me. This thing...can it think? It's like Re:zero crossed with SAO, Solo Leveling, and Tokyo Ghoul Re:The Worst System is a dark, 1st person timeloop story where the main character is slowly driven insane by his ability to respawn at a save point. However, each time he levels, there's a possibility that the next time he dies, the zombie inside him will become too powerful for anyone to stop. So he has to level up a harem...ahem, others, to fight for him against the System. Oftentimes, Hei will get trapped in repeating death loops which are truly terrifying. You've been warned...please don't read if you're not willing to see the darkness all the way through. The light on the other side may be a long ways away...I'll be trying to post on Thurs/Sundays, but honestly, depending on how I'm feeling, chapters could come out at some wonky times. Goddess of Computation
Doing a coding assignment last minute, Ada Newth, a computer science student, fell asleep and woke up in a different world where she was informed by the System that she was randomly selected from an infinite number of universes to be a Goddess of Computation. The trouble is that she's barely passing her first class and now she's meant to be a Goddess? Worse, she can't understand why she's needed in this world where the technology level is about equivalent to that of Earth's Middle Ages. Clearly, most people can barely read or count and even the other gods are of no help. In fact, most of them are rather dangerous idiots. If she can't convince them to help her change the status quo, she'll just have to gather her allies and followers and make some major changes to the system. 21 NOV 2020:I may update all the systemshelper interface to match better with a programming language already out there. I'm thinking either C++ or Python. 20 SEP 2020: I update at least once a week - typically on the weekend. When I have more time, I'll update more. Also, note that I added a few more Tags that I thought was relevant.
