The village was in an uproar. Four creatures, suspected to be the legendary Toe Goblins, had spent the last three nights torturing innocents, and no one knew who they were, or where they came from.

The creatures' leader seemed to think that one of the villagers had killed a member of his 'crew' a few nights prior.

So now the villagers were knocking on Malcolm's door, demanding answers. He had been seen shooting arrows the night the creature died. Moreover, one of the attacked men named him as a suspect. That meant Malcolm was a target.

Malcolm addressed the crowd from his porch. "People of Norfolkdor! I see you have questions. Well, I am here with the answers!" The crowd grew silent, anxiously waiting.

"The rumors are correct, and I WAS shooting arrows the night the creature was killed. But to be honest, I'm not sure if I murdered the 'Toe Goblin'."

Stunned, the crowd stayed quiet for a moment. Then they roared at Malcolm, assaulting him with a million questions. Once the mob had quieted down, Malcolm continued.

"I am aware that I have been marked as a suspect. Moreover, from the stories I've heard of the Toe Goblins, that is definitely not a good thing!"

Clearing his throat, he continued. "But fear not! For I have a plan!"
