《Cosmic Progenitor》Chapter 4-A Revelation!

So far I have found no combination that gets me closer to what I want. At least I have created more to fill the expanse. Though it does trouble me to say this but I have started to feel a new emotion, weariness. I had tried time and time again and as previously stated, and it hasn’t worked. Though I will continue a little longer, for I must try some more.

To change up my elemental combinations I will use air and mist. I decided to do this because it seems to be the next logical stage. I do not know if I will need to use less air essence equal to the parts of water and fire that was combined to make mist. That the air might overpower the mist for it was made up of smaller portions of the elements. Really I have no idea, but, there was only one way to find out. Taking equal portions of air and mist essence they are slowly combined. The result was neither fast nor slow as a condensed mist rose high in the air. I called it a cloud. All across the water there were clouds at different heights moving around at multiple speeds. Some, once they gained enough mist, dropped small drops of water, clumps of ice, and a powdery ice. I called the products of the clouds rain, hail, and snow. It gave the scene a sense of wondrous change.

To further this type of development combining lava and water was an expansion of that idea. I took the parts of lava and water and ever so carefully combined them. The combination happened very quickly and resulted in multiple different kinds of rocks. I called these igneous rocks. It didn’t really change much except to add more in the earth.

Soon I tried many different combinations like lava and air, mist and fire, crystal and air, and mortal flame with water. Though nothing really happened when they combined and fizzled out. I was so desperate for something to happen that in a moment of impatience I combined lightning with cloud. It was really an instantaneous motion but I still did equal parts. Finally something happened, what appeared to occur was the cloud slowly darkened and started to rain. At first I thought that was it, but then a violent jagged bolt of lightning exploded through the clouds, followed by a loud Bang! The lightning created a sound aftershock just by its creation! I had to make this a specific type of sound that follows lightning. Thus is was named thunder. And following suit I called the cloud a storm, specifically a thunderstorm.

Now I think it is time I stop for a while. I had created something so interesting and I want to continue but I believe I have been going on for too long. I have wandered for eons and recently gone through stressful experiments without any rest. It should be time to rest my consciousness for some time. So I slowly drifted off in peace.

My unfocused self slowly came into focus. Brought back from my rest, I gained awareness of my surroundings above the water. With a moment of thought I decided to drift around the expanse to gain enlightenment for my experiments. Moving across the water I took notice of the clouds above. Some just plain others explosive with their power. I continued to watch them in a daze strait into the fire domain.

Wait. The clouds are over the fire domain… that means they rain over it as well! I speed over to the clouds and watch them rain. The fire only sizzles when the water touches it. Does this mean the balance is upset?!

I rush back towards the water domain and it is completely in balance. To be safe I then checked the stability of the air domain and earth domain as well. I’m not really sure what this means for the expanse. In my rush, desperate for something to happen, I must have missed it earlier. I must inspect and see if any more cases of change has happened. Pushing through the fire domain I see something inconceivable. Pushing past the clouds and into the air is a huge cone of earth. Past this there is a series of them in different sizes and shapes. All of this in the middle of the fire domain. I go deep below into the earth and it started getting hotter and hotter. Eventually I reach a enormous area of flowing magma simply radiating heat. In observation it seems that it is the flowing magma causes the earth above it to shift and crash upwards together. It seems that some of the fire domain has partly shifted into the magma. Back up by the towering earth, I need a name for it. It should be called a mountain and the group of them should be called a mountain range. I explore further.

Away from the mountains I see something interesting. A mountain that spews out lava. Said lava runs down the side of the mountain and has particles of grey flakes rising into the air. It also had a lot of igneous rock around it. After inspecting the new mountain, it seems it was caused by a buildup of magma underground. I name this a volcano. Also for fun I named the particles ash.

Another observation was a wet soil caused by the rain. I called it mud. The extra water not absorbed by the earth created a path of flowing water called a river. But instead of flowing back toward the water domain, it created separate areas of water. Depending on size I called these ponds and lakes.

Not only has the fire, air, earth, and waters elemental domains changed but light and darkness have as well. Even though light and darkness aren’t elements and don’t have domains like the four base elements and lightning, they do have areas of influence. Originally it was light shining over the fire and darkness covering the water. Now it is in a cycle of light then darkness over all the domains. The catalyst should have been when I introduced lightning into the cloud. Since lightning has a greater authority over light and darkness, having some lightning constantly moving should have made them move in response.

With all the change in the domains it seems to me that they are merging together. That fire, water, air, earth, and even lightning, to some extent, is coming together to make one large elemental domain. Personally I am completely fine with the changes because the balance is kept and so many fascinating things are created. I continue to ponder over this new fact of the expanse.

That’s it! I don’t know why I haven’t thought of it before but, I should try combining the four elements together!
