“Um… Can I have the baby?” Asked the man.
“Um… Is the baby yours?” I ask.
“... I know who the baby belongs to?” Says the man.
“Why is your statement a question?”
“Well… Um… I know who the baby’s parents are.” Says the man
“Is your hair blue?” I ask.
“No- Wait what? What does that question have to do with the baby?” Says the man.
“So what color is your hair?” I ask.
“It’s purple, wait, this still has nothing to do with the baby! Will you give me the baby or not?” Says the man.
I see… So what I think is blue… Is actually purple… Was I ever color blind? I don’t recall…
“Um… Hello? Can… Can I have the baby?” Says the man.
“Wait, you were still here? I thought you left!” I say.
“No… You just suddenly stopped talking… But… Can I have the baby?” Asks the man again.
“Why do you need the baby anyway?”
“Well, ah… The baby… Uh… The baby’s parents are worried about the baby, so they sent me!”
“So… Do you have any evidence that the parents sent you?”
“Well, uh… No, but I can bring you to them!” Stutters the man.
“Oh sure why not.” I respond. The worst that happens is that I die right? Now, for more walking… Yay… Wait. Why were they using a carriage in the first place when there are cars… I… I will never understand this place…
“Ah… Sir… It’s this way…” The man says.
Oh crap. Going the wrong way again… Damn… I keep going the wrong way… Is my sense of direction that bad? I mean… I have a map and I’m still lost… How does that work? Oh… Oh whatever. I can worry about it later, more walking needs to be done.
“Right so… Um… What is your name? I never caught it.” Says the man. You know… For someone who shouted out for me to stop, he’s surprisingly docile… Maybe I should just call him mister shy man…
“Umm… Could you please answer my question?” Asks Mister Shy Man, “WHAT. IS. YOUR. NAME.”

Jeez… I don’t need you to spell it out for me. I know english you know… Wait. What language does this world even use? Do they even use english? Maybe there’s some sort of auto translate feature for me? That would be nice… Actually… Does a person need to feel mana in order for them to manipulate mana? I mean, I could see it, but I couldn’t feel it… Maybe seeing is the same as feeling? Who knows…
“Sir. Please, just answer this one simple request of this lowly being, what is your name?” Mister Shy Man pleads.
Come on! All you need is my name right? You don’t have to add flattery and other things to make me tell you… I was going to tell you anyway…
“I deem you worthy to hear my name! My name is Eldritch, you don’t need to know anything other than that.” I say. What? I sound haunty? What are you talking about? He begged, and so I responded. If he casually asked me… I would respond casually… Or I would ignore him… No no, I would never ignore anyone…
“Yes! I finally got an answer after two days…” Mister Shy Man whispers to himself.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but I heard that. And there’s no way that two days have passed. Just look at the inner monologue that the auth- *cough* that was going through my head. And how could you walk without resting for two days? Unless you’re just not a human… Now that I think about it. I never bothered to ask if he was human. Maybe the reason those bandits or whatever are weak because they aren’t humans… Maybe this guy is an actual human? Hm… Or maybe he isn’t… Should I ask him? Hmmm…
I don’t feel like prying into other people’s business… I’m not a nosy person after all… Right, let’s ask him anyways.
“Hey, we’ve been walking for two days now, why don’t you need to rest?” I ask.
“Ah?” Says Mister Shy Man stupidly.
“I asked if you are human.” I say.
“Ah… No. I’m not human. I’m a type of human sub species. There are the pure forms of humans, and then there are the subspecies. The pure humans can utilize mana, while the subspecies… Most of the subspecies can’t.” Says the man.

I see…
“Is there anything like a demi human?” I ask.
“Demi human? I’ve never heard of that term before.” Says Mister Shy Guy.
“Is there a species called a devil, or demon?” I ask.
“Demon? Demon’s are a human subspecies that excels at magic even more so than the pure humans, they usually become generals in massive armies. As for devils… No… I’ve never heard of anything called a devil. There have been times in the past when someone was called a devil. But that was only because they had a massive amount of power any sentient being shouldn’t have.” Says Mister Shy Man.
I see… So whatever wiped out the frontier base of my species, would be considered a devil. Oh...kay… Alrighty then.
“So what type are you? What subspecies are you?” I ask.
“Me? I’m… a mix between a demon and a pure human.” The man responds.
“Is the mixing between subspecies common?”
“Mixing between subspecies is common, however, pure humans tend to look down on subspecies, so a pure human falling for a subspecies is… quite rare.” Responds Mister Shy Man while he looks down.
Hmm… I don’t think there are any beast men or whatever it’s called. But there seems to be humans, like usual, and then those that are… Different, but still fall under the same category as human… Oh...Kay…
“How long until we reach our destination?” I ask.
“Oh? We’ve already arrived one day ago, we’re just walking to the mansion right now.” Says the man.
Wait… So… How big is this person's territory… This person should be quite rich huh… Should I ask this person for a job? I’m still jobless after all… Maybe being a guard is a bad idea… After all, last time I was a guard I killed my employee… Yeah… Let’s be… um… Let’s be a mercenary looking for a job. Yes. That seems good, we’ll go with that.
“We’ve arrived” state's Mister Shy Guy. Wait, why do you seem so confident all of a sudden, shouldn’t you be really shy? What happened? Where did mister shy guy go?!
“Ah… Yes…” I say…
“Wow! You finally brought a friend! DEAR!!! DEAR!!!! OUR CHILD HAS FINALLY BROUGHT A FRIEND OVER!!!” Says an overly enthusiastic man with red eyes. Red eyes? RED EYES??! Yeah… This must be Mister Shy Guys father…
“I’m coming dear! I would like to see this friend you speak of.” Says a voice inside of the mansion.
Did I mention that it was a mansion? Well now I did. It’s four stories tall with four grand windows stretching from the first floor to the second floor. I wish Mister Shy Guy said he was a rich kid. I would’ve treated him much better. But now I can’t do that huh… It would seem weird to change behavior after all… Right?
Right.
“Oh, my daughter, you finally brought a man home!” Says the mother as she comes down.
Oh, daughter, so Shy Guy wasn’t a guy? I guess I can see how this person is a girl… Wait. This person was a girl this whole time? I thought she was a boy…
“Ah… No… This man was the person who found my little brother” Says Misses Shy Girl.
Oh, so the baby was her brother huh… If she said that earlier, I wouldn’t have had to walk, or I would’ve anyways. But still…
“I see, I see… Well? Don’t stand there. Do come in! Come in. Let’s have dinner before you leave.” Says the father.
“Ah… Well you see, I was actually looking for employment…” I say.
“That’s even better! Our last guard captain had to return to his home on a family emergency, you can step in for him!” Says the excited father.
“Wait, what about the other gua-” I ask, but get cut off as I’m dragged into the house.
I forgot to clear up the misunderstanding that their daughter brought me here. Whoops. But the girls is obviously a man though...
Author’s Note:
Okay… It seems as if there was a confusion as to what bold words meant. The bold words like this for example is to show the text the MC is seeing with his robot eye thing, whatever it is. Also, for the late update… Well… School is a wonderful place isn’t it.

Bloodlines
Bloodlines is the first major story set in the far larger and immensely connected universe known as Infinitum. A group of renegades and misfits take into the sky in their fancy skyship to fulfill the prophecy they don't care about and defeat the Empire they care even less about. In the process, they learn things (they would rather not) of the fucked up Universe, dead gods, and the future that holds no mercy. Bloodlines draws inspiration from One Piece. But in the bigger picture, Bloodlines is one of many stories set in Cosmere-like universe where plots stretch beyond planets and star systems and stakes are higher than godhood (like in Malazan chronicles). Currently, I am planning to finish the first arc [Bandit Arc], add 10k words interlude with some revelations, then publish a story happening elsewhere. Then I will be back to write the second arc. For now, the Fifth Region has 8 arcs planned. Officially, there are 5 regions. The Fifth Region is not the shortest but is far from the longest regions. - PS. Pay attention to flavor text. Chapters published weekly.

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.

Progenitor of Mana
Leo had always felt something was wrong with him. Hell, the world even confirmed this for him with the bundle of mental and physical health issues he had to battle his whole life. At least he always had his imaginary friend, The 'Voice', to guide him through his most troubling times. But what happens when the world comes to an end at the behest of something called 'The System'? And maybe The 'Voice' wasn't as imaginary as he thought as it had been telling him this day was coming for a year. This story is not for the light hearted, at least that is the direction I have it going.
