《NO STRINGS ATTACHED》CH. 87

It didn't take more than a few days for a dog to report to his Master. His Master being the jail warden Taïna. From inside her battleship, she received a call demand from one of the prisoners. She accepted it as usual. The man on the screen was ugly to the point she would have hung out right away if she didn't need to hear what he had to say.

Taïna: Report, dog.

???: Yes, great warden Taïna. I found his trace.

Taïna rose from her seat with a devilish grin on her face. Someone already found him?! That was certainly good news. She urged the prisonner to speak further.

???: So, I am in the mercenary's guild right now and I heard rumors about a very peculiar operation...

Taïna: I don't care about the context! Where is he?!

The ugly prisonner began to sweat as even lightyears away and seprated by a screen, he could feel her anger. She wanted answers and not rabblings. He got the point. As he used a hand to wipe the sweat from his face, he answered her:

???: Someone had put a bounty on him and brought more than three hundreds of the best to hunt him somewhere, even one of the five legends went there! And no one heard anything about them since then!

Taïna was really angry now. What was this? Didn't she clearly state that she wanted to know where he was? She did. Without a doubt. So why the fuck is that idiot rambling about the past?!

Taïna: Do you think I care about the past?! I want to know where he is now!

???: Yes, Great Warden! That's the thing! The planet he and his friends were on! He should have gone back there!

Taïna pondered for a moment. It made sense. Since he escaped, he would have gone somewhere he would feel safe about. If he had friends somewhere, it was likely that he went there. Or at least that those people knew where he was. Not too bad.

Taïna: Give me the coordinates.

And, at that, the prisonner began to sweat even more profusely. He didn't know the coordinates. No one did. He had asked around for a day now. While everyone had heard about the bounty mission and who went there, no one knew where it was. Worst of all, the bounty had been scrapped. The guild itself had taken it off. It was very rare for a bounty to be voided...yet it happened here.

Taïna: ...So, what you are saying, is that you called me even though you haven't found what I asked for?

???: W-what?! No? No! I would never dare! Great War-

Before he could finish, his head exploded and his body was torn to shreds. All of it was seen through the screen. Yet neither Taïna nor her employees even blinked from the sight. They were very used to this. Their boss was whimsical and easily provoked.

Taïna sighed. She was down. Her mood at an all time low. Is this what it felt to long for your dear one? She sensed her feelings and they were stronger than ever. How could she feel this way? What were those feelings? Truly incredible. How a man could make her feel so much while not being even remotely close-by.

Love was incredible.

She pondered for a moment and a thought remained stuck inside her head. While this idiot did not find out what she wanted, he did find something worth investigating into. Usually, she sent the information to her pawns. However, this time, she couldn't help it. She wanted to go there herself.

She wanted to meet him as soon as possible and for that, she was ready to work herself. The greatest hunter of the surrounding galaxies was making her move. She ordered her employees to warp towards the Mercenary Guild Headquarters. She knew the guildmaster and it seems like she needed to have a talk with her.

Time for no me- Time waited for no women.

While her employees were incredibly surprised at the decision of their boss, they obeyed it and soon, the spaceship began to move. It accelerated. Then the space surrounding began to warp and it was no longer to be seen in this area.

...

Inside a low-class bar on a mid-ranked individual civilisation planet, a man was drinking. He was very different from all the other customers. While the workers and customers were all green gelatinous skinned with some antennaes going down their heads, he had fair white skin and blonde hair. While they had three eyes and some kind of trump, he had two blue eyes and a small mouth.

This man that seemed out of the picture was from the race of Elves. More precisely, he was from the Twelth Moon Tribe of the Lunar Elves race. What differentiated him from other elves were the two horns at the back of his head that were crystal-like.

This man was drinking a strange blue drink leisurely and with grace.

However it was cut short as the tavern doors opened. All the boisterous chatter stopped and even the music seemed to have faded away. In a silence that wasn't one, all eyes fell on the man that entered. The Lunar Elve looked at him too. And he sighed. The man that just entered was staring straight at him.

The Elf asked him in a tired voice:

???: Let's not do this here, Ash.

Archbishop Ash: I did not come here to fight, Larongar. I wish to talk.

Larongar: *sigh* Talk...Of course...And will your flames be the ones talking this time?

Archbishop Ash knew that the man wouldn't believe him easily and as such, he decided to show him instead. He placed his palm forward and tried to create a flame. A small flame appearedd, flickered and disappeared in mere moments. However, it was more than enough time for Larongar to understand what happened.

Larongar: *sigh* ... I get it... Just take a drink and let's go upstairs...
