《Astral Land》Chapter 9 Journey to the Paragon Kingdom

On the way to the Paragon kingdom, Reno is seen talking with Adis.
Seeing the scene that took place between the royal daughter talking very cheerful to Reno makes the King's entourage quite surprised.
The girl who usually temperamental and very ignorant with men looks happy, laughing so freely to a man.
On the other hand, Patih Adira looked jealous of the situation before him.
Patih does not believe what he just saw in front of his eyes.
He never even got such kind of treatment from the royal lady.
Adira, who considered himself as Patih as well as the King's right hand seem very difficult to accept such harsh reality.
Despite Patih Adira's irritation and anger at the situation before him, he could only take a deep breath and hold back his anger.
After all, Adista was a princess from the Paragon kingdom. If Adira acts rashly, his attitude will likely hurt his image in front of the King.
While talking to Adis, Reno gained new insights that most of the population in the astral lands belongs to the Nemok race.
Nemok race themselves has a population of around 70 percent of the total population in the Astral land.
The nemok race is the only race that has characteristics that are identical to the Human Race in the real world.
Reno previously worried about Princess Adista's reaction to whether his question to Adista about races appear strange and make Adis suspect that he was not from the astral dimension.
However, he wasted such thought far away because after all, Reno was a new person in this world, any information he could get about the Astral Land would be a useful source of information for him.
Adis said that the Paragon kingdom was controlled and inhabited by the Nemok race.
When Reno tried to confirm whether the Nemok race was a human race, Adis immediately denied it.
Based on the conversation conducted with Adis, He finally knew that the human's characteristics are very identic with the nemok race in this dimension.
Adista was suspicious of Reno's questions because Reno's asking something that was like a question that came out from a person that was not from the astral land.

Adis's expression changed to be suspicious and cautious when trying to talk about humans because "humans" uttered by Reno is a language that is very taboo to say in this astral land.
Adis then reminded Reno to be more careful when saying the word humans on the astral land.
Because so far, humans are a legendary myth in the history of the astral land, and the demon race hates human existence very much.
Adis explained that the Nemok Race with humans was very different, even though it looked the same.
Although It's almost painful to distinguish between the two races physically, in the eyes of the Nemok race, Human Race is a unique astral being.
If humans are still in the land of the astral, then the race will undoubtedly be glorified and worshiped like a god.
According to Legend in the astral land, the human race is the only race that could live in two dimensions, the real world, and the astral world.
Human races maybe look ordinary in the real world, but when they successfully enter the astral land, the humans will obtain extraordinary abilities.
Humans who managed to penetrate inside the astral world will become a strong race, and even history says they are hard to beat.
Because of the blessing of unique ability, humans not only glorified but also feared by other races.
The race that hates humans the most is the djinn race and the demon race.
Adis then continued the story according to Legend; humans are now extinct due to the holy war that occurred a thousand years ago in the astral land.
Since the Holy War ended, the demon race secluded themselves by living away from the outside world because the holy war had suffered enormous casualties and losses for the demon races and their companions.
For thousands of years, they were still hiding.
According to the spreading news around the astral land, the demon races were recovering their forces and strengths and did not yet know when their renaissance would return to the seven continents.
Even though they live hiding and isolating themselves, they still often reveal themselves in the astral land in several places.

According to the news that was widespread in the astral land, the demon race will appear when sniffing the existence of humans.
They will soon finish humans by all means before the human race develops stronger and become invincible.
Hearing the explanation coming from Adis, Reno was quite surprised.
He realized that if his existence was known to the demon race, it was likely he will die soon since Reno is a human that coming from the real world.
Reno certainly does not want to die silly, so the young man tries to cover up his identity to all races in the astral land, including Adista.
Reno was also quite surprised after learning that humans had become extinct in the astral land.
In the future, Reno will never reveal his true identity about his race to anyone because the human race status was becoming the demon race target.
Reno would instead claim to be a nemok race that is physically identical to the human race.
Apart from being extinct and feared by the demon race, another reason why Reno would use his identity as a nemok race seemed more plausible because, after all, it was almost impossible to find differences between nemok and human races.
Reno again asked Adis, "Then what is the difference between humans and the nemok race?"
Hearing the question coming out from Reno's mouth made Adis's forehead wrinkled with suspicious again.
How could Reno not be able to know the difference between humans and the nemok race?
Even though it seems suspicious, Adis still answers Reno's question "the human race besides having a unique strength; they can penetrate the inter-dimensional space through the portal door."
"Not all races can penetrate the portal door to astral land."
"Races that cannot penetrate the portal door are us the nemok race, elf race, monster race, and dwarf race. "
Adis then continued her explanation that the cultivation rank of a human race could also be said to be extraordinary.
A human with a brahmana cultivation rank can defeat a hundred battalions of troops with a combination of brahmana and knight cultivation rank in a single hit.
Thousands of years ago, the astral land was ruled by humans because of its invincible power.
Even all race in the astral world must submit and obey to humans at that time.
The extraordinary human existence makes some races, especially the demon race, hate humans so much.
When the holy war broke out and exterminated humans from the astral land, from that moment on, the demon would ensure that there would no longer be the seeds of humans that could enter the astral area.
They patiently try to tackle every human race that has the potential to penetrate the astral world with the hope that the hegemony of human power in the astral world will not be able to continue.
Adis then explained that according to the myth, to enter the astral dimension, humans needed not only stable emotions and strong self-control but also needed high focus and concentration.
Seeing how difficult it is for humans to penetrate the astral world automatically if anyone from humans succeeds in penetrating the astral world, then that person will be blessed with extraordinary ability.
Since the demon and djinn race also can penetrate other dimensions using the portal door, they often visit the real world to disturb humans, which has the potential to get out of the body and comprehend inside the astral land.
The strategy carried out by the demon race and djinns is to scare humans into not being able to focus and be surprised when they get out of the body.
Included in their structured plan is to spread scary issues in the real world that the astral world is a world filled with darkness that can cause death for humans in the real world.
The conversation between Reno and Adis continued very well.
Reno himself gets very much useful information from the discussion.
During the trip for about thirty minutes, finally, Reno, Adis, and the King's entourage arrived in front of the high gate of Paragon.

Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
