Chapter 11
Isaac:"I was used to create the previous Demon King."
Falon:"Create?"
Isaac:"Yeah. The priestess performs her ritual to force your soul out, creating a heartless bastard version of yourself that they crown King. Your soul is sent to the other world until your death there then you return."
Falon:"Wait then why do we reincarnate?"
Isaac:"Side effect. The ancient magic is passed down through the family of the Demon King and his succubus wife so they don't know how to fix it. The succubus is suppose to have a child with the created Demon King and eventually that bloodline will produce another succubus with two souls who can perform the ritual again."
Falon:"What exactly is this ancient magic."
Isaac:"Blood magic. It's contained in an old book passed down in the bloodline of the priestess and Demon King luckily it's more like a potions book and doesn't really have any offensive magic."
Falon:"What happened to the previous Demon King?"
Isaac:"He died and I'm stuck reincarnating for all eternity."
Falon:"So I'm going to reincarnate forever?"
Isaac:"No. There's still a chance to fix your soul."
Falon:"Fix it?"
Isaac:"The Demon King still has a part of your soul. If you can put it back together, you'll return to being normal, but if he dies first your stuck like me. Well there is another way out. If you use soul magic to completely destroy your soul you won't bounce between the two worlds anymore since your soul won't even exist after that. The problem with that is your more likely to kill yourself before your soul is destroyed and you'll just reincarnate."
Falon:"I definitely don't want to destroy my soul so how do I put myself back together?"
Isaac:"Only the priestess can do it."
Falon:"Shit.....that sucks."
Isaac:"It's possible. I told you the priestess has two souls and both can use the blood magic. If you can keep the evil soul from interfering she should be able to fix your soul, but if that happens they lose their Demon King so it's not easy to do it."
Falon:"So if I can get my hands on the priestess and make her fix my soul will I return to my original body?"
Isaac:"No the missing piece of your soul flows into your new body and the old one is just an empty vessel. You can never be Keltor again."
Falon:"I started to hope for a chance after you told me that I could fix what the spell did to me."
Isaac:"Who have you told about your reincarnation?"
Falon:"No one. I kind of poisoned myself and I'm gonna die in about two years so I decided that it's best just to leave Keltor dead to everyone."
Isaac:"If the Demon King shows up there will be confusion."
Falon:"No. My family knows me well enough to realize that isn't me."
Isaac:"I have to disagree. I thought my student knew me through and through, but she still thought I became the Demon King."
Falon:"A student isn't family."
Isaac:"I wanted her to be, but if you think things are fine like this then I won't talk about it anymore Falon."

Falon:"Thank you Isaac."
The two of us decided to talk more later and I took him to Paltors office. I went back to my room to rest and think about what I learned. When I got there I plopped down on my bed and placed my forearm over my eyes.
*I guess I need to find that priestess now. If I fix my soul I'll get out of this constant cycle of reincarnation and stop the Demon King at the same time. I should go to the the demon continent, but first I need to practice my black magic since I'll have to use illusions to change my appearance into a demons.*
*****************Stef POV******************
The only human I ever loved was my mother. I never new my father and all my mother told me was that she was happy that the two of them created me. I grew up in the slums with her and she did anything she could to feed and protect me including selling herself. The men treated her like trash, but she kept doing it to get clothes and food for me.
I was about 10 and was able to make money pick pocketing. I didn't want my mother to suffer anymore so I took all I could from the nobles and merchants that passed through the slums.
I gave it to her and told her that I would protect her from now on. She smiled at me and said that I didn't need to steal because she would make sure to get me anything I needed.
It made me want to cry. I didn't want her to help me if it meant hurting herself so I ran away leaving the money with her.
When I came back a few hours later I found her lying on the ground with five men standing around her. They were all dressed well and I recognized that they were my early targets that I stole from.
I ran towards them to help my mother, but one of the men sent me flying with a punch. My whole body hurt so bad, but I was determined to help my mother.
I was born with blue hair and new about magic, but I had never tried it before. My mother looked up from the ground and I could tell she was having trouble breathing, but she was able to say a few words to the men. She begged them to let me go.
I remembered telling her I would protect her and thought that the men should burn for what they did to her. A flame suddenly erupted from my hand and shot towards the man who hit me.
He burst into flames and turned to ash almost instantly. The men couldn't believe how strong my flame was and showed a look of fear for a second before they remembered that I was only a kid and anger appeared on there face.
A man ran towards me and before I could do anything he ran a sword straight through my heart. I fell to the ground and my mother started to cry pleading with the men to heal me, but instead they kicked her and said stop whining.
I was stabbed through the heart and couldn't move, but I didn't feel very injured. I was able to move my hand to the sword and slowly pull it out. The men didn't notice since they were still beating my mother.

The hole in my chest closed up, but I still felt mostly paralyzed. One of the men pulled out a small knife and stabbed it into my mothers heart I saw her eyes open wide and she turned her head towards me. I thought she was looking at me, but realized she was actually looking behind me and she smiled then she said "You've returned dear." before she died.
A man stepped over me. He was who my mother was looking at and I could see he was very tall with broad muscles short blue hair and a blue beard. I could only see his back but I could feel his killing intent.
He created flames and burned all the men to ash in a second. I watched as he walked up to mothers body and lifted her up and a light enveloped them. I could tell it was healing magic, but since he created so much light I knew it must have been a high ranked spell.
I saw the hair on his head and face change to blonde for a few seconds. The light died down and his hair was blue again then he whispered "I was to late." and placed mother back on the ground.
Mother wasn't moving, but all of her bruises were healed and she looked very beautiful. I had never seen her look so healthy.
I left there with that man and we buried mothers body. I knew that he had to be my father so I listened to him and we left the city. I cried at night for the first few weeks when I thought he was asleep.
When I was bathing in a stream, I noticed my reflection. I had blonde highlights that I never noticed. I asked my father about it and he told me that my power had awoken when I was stabbed. He started teaching me dark magic so that I could hide it with illusions. I didn't understand at the time why I had to hide it.
He started to teach me fire, wind, dark and healing magic which he said I would eventually become a master of.
When I turned 12 I had finally mastered fire magic and was intermediate level with wind. I had been a master healer ever since he taught me the basics, but was still only a beginner at dark magic.
One day he told me all of his secrets and I was shocked to find everything out. He was actually a demon and they were planning an attack against the humans. He came from the bloodline that had such a strong healing ability that they were called the immortal demons.
He was ordered to create offspring many years ago to try and produce a daughter. He rarely ever had female offspring so he was ordered to try with other races. He raped many women from high born to low, and was able to finally create a daughter with an elf princess.
The demons watched her grow and decided after a few years that it was time to pick her up, but some how they lost her.
I started to get angry at what he told me since that meant he too raped my mother. He seemed to realize what I was thinking and told me that she was the first woman he ever loved, but since he was a demon and duty bound to complete his job he had to leave her.
He was happy to hear that she gave birth to his son. If the child ended up strong he would be aloud to bring her to his side even if she was human. I was able to understand why he left, but I still felt like he should have given up his duty for her.
I asked him why he needed a daughter and he told me that the new Demon King would have a weakness that they might be able to fix if they could create a durable female body. His immortal blood was the only thing that could make a strong enough body.
I was asked if I would pledge my loyalty to the demons and I said yes immediately. He tasked me with recruiting humans to our side so he sent me to Vaneth Academy. When I got there I found out about the peace keepers and used them as my cover.
I found the delinquents and mages that had darkness in there heart. The swordsman were harder since they were quite loyal, but brainwashing through dark magic worked on some. The people with strong wills couldn't be brainwashed so I ended up with the weakest of Vaneth and the evilest, but quantity over quality.
I had help in the Academy which was the headmaster. I don't know why he was helping, but it made things a lot easier. The only problem with taking over the Academy was that the head of the peace keepers Cal inspired many swordsman so they had a lot of powerful people won over. She was strong and I wasn't even sure if I could beat her in a fight.
I knew that an inside attack on the human capital would never work if things stayed as they were. I wanted her on our side. The brainwashing would work if I could make her mind unstable so I created a situation where her sister would die, leaving her grief stricken. My plan fail, some jackass stopped my fire ball.
I had to have her die in an accident or else I knew her mind would become consumed with revenge and I wouldn't be able to brainwash her.
I spent my days thinking of new ways to get her to our side when I found out the priestess was here. My father told me everything about her and the Demon King so I was surprised that she was here, but the headmaster told me she was here to get rid of the Demon Kings weakness and further increase his strength with a new ritual.
**************Falon POV*********************
I woke up and felt someone lying next to me and I knew it was Laya. I lifted my blanket and she looked up at me with her head lying on my chest.
She had the wicked smile on her face and I suddenly felt fear. Her hand moved up to my chest and in it was an oval shaped crystal that was blood red.
She pushed it down onto my chest and I felt a burning pain coming from where the crystal touched my chest. I shoved her off and tried to grabbed the crystal, but it had fused with my chest right between my pecks. I lost all energy and fell to the ground.
As my consciousness started to fade I could hear Laya apologizing.Back to Main Page
